Great supper at Taste of Italy. We were a group of eight and had a table outside . Great service. Pizza and pasta were great. The prices for the food and for wine were very reasonable. Will be back.

Felt lucky to have stopped in and taken a chance. The service was great. The prices were very fair and the food quality was top notch. It was all simple but extremely satisfying. My simple salad was perfectly dressed and the deep fried ravioli weren’t…at all greasy, but perfect! My husband had the thin crust cheese pizza and it was a nice plate size for one and very flavourful. We would definitely go back to try more. Nice relaxed ambienceMore

This is the best place to sit and people watch. It’s like sitting on Times Square, everyone will walk by a least once. The food is not the best Italian food in PV. But is good food at reasonable prices.

This place has great ambiance: breezy and a perfect spot for people watch. They serve Italian food and even though my penne pasta with marinara souse was tasty it was overcooked. Come for inexpensive meal with wine and people watch.

I’ve passed this place for 20 years always full of tourists so I’ve always walked passed it. Last night my buddy could not walk far ( bad legs not booze????) So here we are the waiter was Roger and Jimmy in the back making drinks….We had wings and Bruschetta to start with a round of drinks. Then pasta and pizza. Pizza is a thin crust my favorite and the spag was not no bad for Mexico. The place is clean and the menu prices are actually very cheap I thought. 5 starMore

Won a gift certification to Taste of Italy and wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was and how quick the service was. The food is good old simple Italian fare. Not fancy just hits the spot. We will definitely…come back here again even just to people watchMore

It’s not gourmet, not meant to be. What it is: plentiful menu, very fair prices (about 300 pesos for two entrees and cokes), friendly service, good food. Pasta is delicious with a wide variety of sauces. I like the pesto. Owner/Roger has been doing Italian…right for many years. Get there by 5:30 or wait. Cash only.More

What a quaint little hideaway. We were able to get a table immediately although we have seen long lineups here frequently. The service is good, the prices excellent and the food delicious. We had a veggie pizza and spaghetti bolonese both of which were outstanding….We also had some very good entertainment from across the street. This restaurant takes cash only so be prepared. It is certainly worth a visit.More

Great small little place with a friendly outdoor vibe. We have been coming to PV for 30 years and have never tried it as there is always a line up. Tonight, a little earlier dinner and seated right away. Staff were very friendly and prompt….Deep fried ravioli with marinara and Spaghetti bolognese hit the spot. Very flavourflul. 900 MP for the 4 of us. So glad we took the time to stop in this year.More

We recently returned from our vacation in Puerto Vallarta. “A Taste of Italy” is one of our favourite places to eat. In fact, during our 2 week holiday, we had meals there 3 times. Roger is his usual friendly self..always smiling, always welcoming. The food…is served piping hot (as it should be). The spaghetti & meatballs is my favourite, but all other pasta dishes are great too. Don’t worry if you don’t care for pasta, or other Italian dishes; you can get a burger & fries if that’s what you’d prefer. About the only thing that bothered me was the fact that there is a relatively young waiter who was constantly wearing his facemask down around his chin., This is a dangerous habit because of covid, & shouldn’t be worn this way when serving food. The service itself is quick; so you’re not left sitting & sitting waiting for someone to attend your table. I can’t recommend “A Taste of Italy” enough. Go enjoy..you won’t regret it, I promise!More

There are better Italian restaurants in Puerto Vallarta — Google it. But don’t stop in here and hope to eat great Italian food, they don’t serve it. The clam fettuccine was disgusting, rice balls barely edible and the pizza made us physically ill. This is…another restaurant that doesn’t really have to even try to be good because of its excellent location on the malecon. They don’t have to try, so they don’t bother to.More

Wanted something besides Mexican food and this place was recommended by a guy we met while watching the sunset. We sat on the sidewalk patio and ordered spaghetti and meatballs and pasta with white clam sauce. We also split a salad. It was all quite…good – better than some Italian restaurants in upstate NY. The only thing I didn’t like were the flame throwers in front of us that were a little too close for comfort, but that had nothing to do with the restaurant itself.More
