We went on a busy New Year’s Day evening. We had called ahead for reservations and had to wait a while before we were seated but the hostess actually comped us several tapas because of the wait. And once we were seated, our service was…very good! The food was all delicious and we especially liked the bacon-wrapped dates. Terrific wine list. Another fabulous meal at Barcelona Tapas. This is a must strop for us every trip to PV. The beet gazpacho is wonderful. The service is great, and the elevator makes the accent to the top so much easier than it used to be.

The food was delicious! We started w complimentary potato salad, then on to the Spanish Potato Omelet and Papas Bravo (yes I love potatoes) However the very best was a special of beef short ribs w pasta and vegetables in a truffle sauce. Without a…doubt the best dish of 2023 so far. The service was excellent and the bartender did a fine job on my Duncantini. The view is very good AND they have an elevator! Parking is a problem – we will take a taxi next time. The live music and the table decor may be a negative.More
The servers went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. For those with allergies and dietary restrictions, just let your server know, they will do their best and make sure they serve correct order. Also, we were surprised with a complimentary drink (shot), which was…very delicious. On top of amazing views, very nice atmosphere & delicious food, customer service was outstanding. I left my sunglasses at the bathroom (which is 1 floor down to the restaurant), when I called back in 1 hour, the glasses were already waiting at the lobby reception & when I came back to pick it up, I had to sign a paper about who picked it up (in case they were not mine). So trustworthy & professional. Thank you my customers ans my great experience. Will bring more people to this placeMore
We visited on Christmas Eve. Our table was great – there isn’t a bad spot to be had on the 5th floor. We had live music that was perfect volume to enjoy our conversation as well as the music. The service was very good, however…we do wish we had been better advised about the plentiful sizes of many o the dishes. Tapas typically come with two or three servings, and so we ordered accordingly for our group of 6. The result was far too much food, but looking back it seems we could have done some math of our own from the menu! Everything was tasty and it was a really beautiful spot to spend Christmas Eve.More
I found myself unexpectedly traveling solo and met a guy on the plane who took me here. It was really great and a nice change from the resort. After I posted a pic from the rooftop, a friend saw it and recognized it and told…me she was going to recommend that exact restaurant to me! She was 100% correct! Great food, fresh, not greasy or heavy, delicious choices!!More
This is my sister and I favorite dinner restaurant when we visit. The servers Juan Gil, Jesus, and Luis treat us like family and the food and drinks are amazing. We always get the beet and goat cheese appetizer and the seafood paella is worth…the wait. The sunsets are incredible too. Feliz Año Nuevo!More
Amazing view, amazing food and amazing service!! After eating at an all inclusive for multiple days this was a great experience. The food options were excellent (we ordered too much!) The wait staff were excellent and attentive. A must visit in PV.
Modern beautiful restaurant with Spanish delights, from Paella to delicious Tapas. Our Taxi driver had a hard time finding this restaurant, but its worth finding.
We’re from England and spending the whole of Christmas with our family in PV. We’re staying at Maxwell Residences so are eating out every day. Barcelona has undoubtedly been our best meal out. The staff were lovely – attentive and fun – and the food…was absolutely superb. Great buzz and just an all-round great experience. Highly recommended and 5* without doubt.More
Barcelona Tapas Friday December 3rd. My brother and I choose and reserved seating at the Barcelona Tapas. The restaurant is located in the older part of Puerto Vallarta, and will require a taxi to find the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a great…view to Puerto Vallarta, and has seating on two floors. In 2022 February my wife and I did visit the Barcelona Tapas and were seated on the second floor. This time it was the third floor with a great view, On our December 3rd visit it had a seating for 24 —a wedding party and six waiters addressed their needs. Our waiter was Federico .. His knowledge of the menu, and his suggestions to someone who is deficient in Spanish was most refreshing. He zeroed into our likes and dislikes — making suggestions which proved most agreeable. As each tapas was presented and later he made sure the used dishes were taken away, the table cleaned and the next tapas presented. Of interest was his great sense of humour, able to trade barbs with the best of us. Our first Tap[as was a house potato salad, interesting, followed by garlic shrimp sautéed in butter, then, baby steamed asparagus with an order of calamari which were nor deep fried or based in batter, our final tapas was egg plant and cheese in a tomato sauce with great spices. PV is our favourite place to visit in Mexico and we always have to come to the Barcelona. The service is next level and you truly feel like family when dining here. Everyone is so kind but we had Omar Arreola as our server this…time and he was fantastic. Thank you so much for the best experience as always! Highly recommend!More
