One of our favourite restaurants in PV, and there are many to choose from here. The food, ambience and service bring us back every time. Michael is a hands on host, greeting guests and even calling you by first name to address you and ask…how your meal is….a very classy and personal touch. My husband and I shared the crab cakes as an appetizer, 3 portions with a lovely accompanying sauce, taste sublime. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu and my husband the Pork Chop, both delicious and very large portions. The sides were a cabbage dish for my husband’s pork, wonderful flavour (albeit a bit sweet), french fries were the only slight let down (frozen, we don’t suggest this as a side), my garlic mashed potatoes were good ( a titch too garlicky for me, but just my taste buds). I had 2 glasses of wine, my husband 2 beers, our bill came to $1150 pesos (not incl. our tip). We will be back….several times at least before we leave, the menu has so many tantalizing options we can’t wait to try.More
Bravos is always an experience that is consistent and wonderful. The menu is varied and each dish has its own unique flavor. Michael is always on hand to greet the guests and handle any problem (usually none) that might arise. I always recommend Bravos to…people I know who have visiting PV.More
There are hundreds of places to eat in Puerto Vallarta and we try new places every year but Bravos is my Must Go Here restaurant. The food is always amazing! The staff is wonderful! Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Aldo and Luis were fabulous with service!!!!!! There were 4 of us… everything was excellent: bruschetta, clam chowder, French onion, caprese, cordon Bleu, gnocchi, chx parm, red velvet, carrot cake and our friends loved their mango margaritas with a…tajin rim. We can’t visit PV each year and not go to Bravos. We are going back in 2 days!!!!!More
We always eat at Bravo’s and Siam during our stay in PV because you know the quality of their food is always consistent and you can’t go wrong. You get a fantastic meal without being ripped off like some of the restaurants in PV. I…enjoyed a glass of the Chardonnay at 145 pesos and hubby had the Modelo negro at 55pesos. This time, the 3 of us shared the crabcakes at 180 pesos–3 medium sized with a chipotle mayo sauce on top. The crabcakes were delicious–crispy on the outside and lots of crab inside. We also shared our favorite–shrimp risotto with asparagus at 310 pesos. There were about 5 or 6 large prawns with a good portion of cheesy risotto. It was creamy but slightly needed to be more saucy and less thick, but the taste was there. For our mains, their special was the prime rib or rack of lamb each at 495 pesos. Hubby and son each had the prime rib medium rare as requested and it was extremely tender. It is not the tough grisly prime rib we’ve had before in PV. This meat is quality imported prime. Son wanted the quinoa pilaf and was very delicious and mixed veggies while hubby had mash potato with veggies. Horse radish was also provided. For myself, I had the tomahawk thick pork chop at 295 pesos and our server, who was very efficient and good, suggested I have the pork chop medium. He was so right because it was not dry and I loved the taste of the charbroil on the bone and meat. The very little piece of fat on the side just melted in my mouth….so delicious. I asked for the baked potato which came with a side of sour cream and butter. The potato was slightly dry but still good. My side of the sweet and sour red cabbage was extremely tasty. It complemented the pork extremely well. Service was excellent as usual at Michael’s restaurants–Bravo’s and Siam next door. Food is always exceptional under Michael’s guidance and keen supervision. We are already eager to return to Bravo’s and Siam this month. Had a most delightful dinner at Bravos Restaurant last night. From the appetizers to the main course and desert, the meals were amazing combining the the best of continental cuisine with those exotic features of Mexican cuisine. Above all, the service was attentive, timely and…delightful. Our waiter, Luis, was most attentive, pleasant and informative as were his assistants. Overall, it was a most delightful dining experience and I am so looking forward to returning to and recommending this fine dinning establishments to my friends who will be visiting Vallarta in the future.More
A friend recommended Bravos to us. We tried it today. The personnel were friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable and extremely enjoyable. As we were told, the food was very good. The service was very good. Water glasses were refilled regularly. We shared a caprese salad that…was excellent. My wife had the pork shank which was delicious. I had the jambalaya that was excellent. Do be careful to discuss how spicy you want any spicy foods. I did so and was quite happy with the level of spiciness in the jambalaya. We shared the delicious churro dessert. We had no drinks. The bill for the food came to a little less than $50 US. All in all, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. We will be sure to go again the next time we are in Puerto Vallarta.More
We make it a point to eat here every time we’re in PVR and it NEVER disappoints. The lamb shank is on an entirely different level when it comes to deliciousness. The meat literally falls off the bone when you look at it! The Chicken…Parm is also a big hit! The French Onion soup is some of the best I have eaten. Definitely give it a try. The only thing I have found on the menu that I would not recommend is the Bruschetta. The bread is too thick (big/doughy) and doesn’t deliver the traditional crunch I’m accustomed to when it comes to toasted bruschetta bread.More

Everything was perfect! From entering the restaurant and getting a big hug from Michael Boufford (the owner/chef) to the beautiful remodel, the waiters, Luis and Aldo, to the scrumptious food. We started with wine and cocktails, Bang-Bang Shrimp and Fried Calamari. Yummy! The boys had…the pork chops and the girls had the fish of the daily. Both were delicious and excellently prepared – the flavors superb. We ended with sharing the red velvet cake! The staff was so attentive and nice. It was the best dinner ever and I highly recommend this restaurant. If I did not live in the Marina, I would eat there once or twice a week. Thank you Michael for memorable night!More

We go every time we visit PV. Mojitos are the best and doesn’t matter what you order; every dish is marvelous and beautiful presented. And the red velvet chocolate cake to end meal was big enough to share with 6 people. Was great to know…that our friend Luis is still there; known him for 25 yrs. See you next year!More

We have eaten at many an Italian restaurant in PV and have found much better quality, price and atmosphere than here. First of all parking is terrible. Come by can or Uber. When we arrived no one greeted us at door. Bring first timers wasn’t…sure if we came in right entrance because there was no check in counter. We felt a bit cramped when we sat down. Not enough room to socialize. Wine menu was not that great but we paid $45 a bottle for a California wine. For appetizer we had crab cakes. Very small but was meaty. My wife had the special Mahi Mahi. I had Carbonara. I have had better Carbonara that was less runny. Mahi Mahi was good. Bill with tip $100 US.More

Conveniently located right by our Airbnb so it was always a short walk for amazing food. The service here was always amazing and I visited several times while here with no complaints.

We go to Bravos every time we’re in PV. We have never had a bad meal here. The service is always top notch. We took some friends there last night for the first time and they raved about the place. They are coming back before…they leave and bringing some of their friends. That speaks volumes of the quality of the food and service. Manuel and Alex were our servers and they took excellent care of us. I had their Jambalaya for the first time and it was so good that on future visits that will be my new dinner choice.
