This restaurant has moderate prices for Puerto Vallarta, which as a tourist mecca, has higher prices for most things including dining. The menu here is varied and offers a good selection for a large group. I ordered the red snapper which was very good. One…of my friends order the Korean ribs and they were delicious. The greeter/waiter is very friendly and completely fluent in English and Spanish. I would recommend this place if you are looking to eat well and are on a budget. No sea front dining here. But if you come looking for reasonably-priced food that tastes good, this is definitely a restaurant you should consider.More

Our group had a great time here. You feel so welcomed there. Sol sang what I would say were Frank Sinatra songs and has a good voice. One of the many good waiters, Alex, took care of us and was a hoot! Loved him. The…food we ordered was all great and had a lot of flavor. Nice variety on the menu too. Prices were reasonable.More

Cafe Bohemio is always our dinner stop the first night we’re in PV! We love the atmosphere and the food is always great! Sol is so personable and friendly, and a good singer to boot! Alex has always taken very good care of us, as…we are usually a group of 8 or 9 or more! So…let’s talk about the food. The soup they serve is always wonderful…we had carrot/ginger soup one night and lentil soup the second night. Both were delicious! Various shrimp dishes are their forte, with Imperial Shrimp (cheese stuffed and bacon wrapped) and Shrimp VeraCruz getting rave reviews from our group. The Cuban Pork Chops are also excellend…tender and tasty! With all of the excellent options for dining in PV, it says a lot that our group wanted to go back again for a second time in the same week!More

We visited this restaurant for the first time last night, and it will most surely be our last visit. With so many great restaurants in Puerto Vallarta we aren’t obliged to give them a second chance. Service was slow, to the point that we were…about to walk out when at last our drink order arrived. Our table cloth was dirty, no napkins provided, and we had to exchange dirty cutlery. The next table received a clean tablecloth, so clearly there is no consistency of service. The patrons at another neighbouring table were also not impressed, which became apparent when they asked us: “how long had we been waiting?”. They were also on the verge of walking out. The menu states that each entree comes with soup and nacho chips. We received the soup of the day – Lentil – which turned out to be the best part of the meal. We never did receive the nacho chips, but the waiter brought us a second bowl of soup?? We told him that we had already received the soup and he took it away before I had a chance to ask about the chips. In retrospect, I wish I would have kept the second bowl of soup because my meal was disappointing. I had the Chicken Yucatan which was dry and bland. The tastiest part of my entree were the carrots in the side of mixed vegetables. My wife was equally unimpressed with her meal. I normally tip 15 – 20% – in this case I made a tiny tip of 10 pesos to draw attention to the poor service. I believe that an extremely small tip makes a statement better than no tip at all. I thought of speaking to the manager about my disappointing meal but no one bothered to ask how we enjoyed it, and by this time I just wanted the evening to be over. I only wish our drink order would have come two minutes later so that we would have walked out and avoided this disappointing experience.More

We have been made to feel special on every occasion, going back 20 years. The food is great and prices are reasonable. My husband’s favourite dish is liver and onions and mine is coconut shrimp. Meals include yummy home made soup. The owner is an…opera singer that often blesses us with a tune. Festive events are well worth booking in advance. Our dog Coco is made to feel right at home. It is the type of restaurant you’ll want to go back to again and again.More

The service was top notch. Sal sang some songs, nice voice and nice addition to an excellent meal. Sal and his waiters especially Alejandro, were attentive and went out of their way to ensure everyone felt included. Enchiladas verdes suizas, more than I could eat….My husband had the chicken Parmesan he ate it all. My margarita was not watered down so be careful. This was an excellent evening out with my husband and hopefully new friendsMore

What they describe in the menu and what is served to you are two totally different items. Cobb salad is described as chicken, bleu cheese, bacon. ham, tomato, avocado What arrived looked more like a chef’s salad. Chicken, bacon, slices of ham that was rolled…up. Some sort of white cheese cut into square chunks, not bleu cheese. Not the traditional cobb salad or even what was described in the menu. I went here because the nearby Derby City burgers, with their excellent cobb salad, was closed that day.More

I’ve been stopping in here for years to enjoy the low key atmosphere and comfort food, met the owners and always loved what they offered. This year, the manager is not doing a good job of taking care. The food was just so-so and cleanliness…lacking. Hoping the owners get on top of this.More

We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for many years and found Bohemio on the recommendation of Lucy, a long time shop owner in PV. It is a non pretentious open air restaurant located behind Derby Burgers and next to La Piazetta. To be honest,…we’ve had several things on the menu, but our favorites are the Mambo Combo- coconut shrimp and bacon wrapped cheese stuffed shrimp and the whole red snapper. For people who spend the winters in PV, they have ribs, liver and onions, meatloaf and many chicken dishes that you may miss from home. They also have an array of Mexican fare. Alex the waiter is absolutely the best! A ton of fun and “gets you” right away! All dinners are served with home made soup and they have drink specials every night of the week- 2 for 80 pesos! We usually go on Wed.to get the Cosmos! We have brought many people there and have always had a good experience. When the owner is there, he sings to the crowd and has a voice similar to Sammy Davis Jr. prices reasonable and great service!More

Never again. The meatloaf that everyone raved about, and the reason we tried this place, was terrible. The texture was full of mushy soggy bread. I LOVE good meat loaf. This was the worst I’ve ever had. My husband had ribs. Preboiled with bbq sauce…poured over them.More
