We stopped in yesterday at the new location of Cafe Roma. It is a much more inviting spot, with partial outdoor seating! The band Ibiza was playing. They are there every Friday from 3-6pm. They are excellent, their Playlist is so extensive. You should definitely…go check them out!! We really enjoyed the honey garlic wings and their pizza is amazing! Karaoke started at 6pm, always a fun time. Stop by, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!More
Thank you Kindly for your feedback Jude! See you soon!
Very disappointed in Cafe Roma, I stopped in to Cafe Roma today for a beer, and maybe spot of lunch. I ordered a beer and start looking at the menu. I was seated beside the railing, half way between the bar and stage. When I…got there there was two employees, a man at the bar, a younger woman at the bar, close to the railing, with a computer and accounting spreadsheet. Obviously the manager or owner. Shortly thereafter two women come into the restaurant and hug the woman at the bar. I assume close friends, or family, or something like that. All four were having a warm albeit loud conversation. The two new women order drinks, step over to the rail, while having a conversation with the owner lady they both lite up cigarettes. They were at the ocean side of the restaurant, so you can imagine the amount of smoke hitting me. It was unbelievable to me. I moved briefly, but then paid my bill and asked the woman at the bar if she was the owner. She said she was. I told her why I was leaving and that I would never go back there again. I encourage my friends and all people who do not like smoke blown in there face to avoid this restaurant.More
My friends and I all decided to take our usual trek to Cafe Roma on our visit. We were all looking forward to the bruschetta we have ordered thru the years. We each placed an order for it and much to our disappointment it tasted…nothing like we used to get. It had a very vinegary taste to it. Later heard that new owners had taken over, so I guess we won’t be enjoying that anymore. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were good.More
The food and service were both very good. Great food on a budget. The staff is friendly and very fun to chat with.
We have been to this bar a few times so far during our stay and have enjoyed the open atmosphere, Happy Hour, great music, good vibe and fun crowd! Delicious pizza too!
We visited this bar a couple of years ago when it was called Senior Fox to sing karaoke. But today when we tried to visit it was closed. A great shame for it was fun sitting on their balcony drinking ice cold adult beverages, and…looking at the wildlife in the trees opposite. We were informed that it has a new Canadian owner, and that it would open later. TIP: Our friend informed us that the beer prices were still good at a bucket of 5 Corona Light for 139 pesos. The restaurant website lists the opening time as 11 AM so I made plans to meet my mother here for an early lunch. When we arrived, the door was locked so we looked up their hours on Google which showed an opening time of noon….We took a seat at the corner coffee shop and waited until noon to return. At that time, the door was still closed and no one answered the phone so we went elsewhere. We came back that afternoon after 4 PM, and noticed they were now open so came in and asked about their hours and were told that they open at 1 PM. We ordered a meat lovers pizza (199 pesos) to share which took quite some time to get despite us being the only ones there at that time. It was good, but a bit greasier than I remembered from visits in prior years. The beer prices were good (bucket of 5 Corona Light for 139 pesos) which kept our visit from being disappointing overall.More
We had a relaxing, enjoyable lunch break here. I had the pizza and my husband had onion rings which had been recommended and something else (can’t remember). Food was good although he shouldn’t have had the huge plate of onion rings…I told him…LOL We had…a good time, will return!More
Waiter was helpful and friendly. Food was served quickly and as ordered. We had limited funds as debit and credit machines not working when we were there. However we still had ampe choices and a very satisfying lunch. It wasn’t too busy but other customers…were friendly and obviously ate there quite often.More
Love to visit Cafe Roma when in PV. Our bartender was super and we met the new owner. He even recognized us in the pool at our hotel and stopped to talk. Had great drinks and appetizers. Their own tequila is tasty.
What a great place to hang out and meet people from all over the world and the music was fab. Dropped in 3 times for a nice cold beer and saw 3 different bands. And the house tequila was pretty yummy too. Thanks for adding…to our stay and see you again next year.More
Great food and fun band. Only knock is folks are packed in pretty tight. Shrimp calzone is over the moon good.
Visited Cafe Roma to listen to the band “The Strangers” who play every Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30. Loved, loved, loved this band. The staff remembered us from the afternoon and had our drinks ready for us when we sat down. Owners are great, staff…are courteous and attentive. Go early because this place fills up quick.More
