Birthday meal with my wife, beautiful filet minion. Photos here for the prices for November 2022. Will always return when in PV
The food was delicious, the view was fabulous, and the service was phenomenal! It was a fantastic way to end our trip. We loved watching the sunset while eating!
Great location and view. First off, we reviewed the menu online and had decided on a couple of items. When we arrived, the menu was much smaller and did not offer many of the same items that were online — and none of the ones…we wanted. The prices were between 25 and 35% higher than the same items listed online. Very shady. Had the Clam Chowder soup — just ok. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Fettucine with Shrimp was disappointing as shrimp were tough. Chicken breast was tough and dry. The tables and chairs are plastic with cheap paper napkins. The service was very slow, and the waiter disappeared after serving our entrees, never to return. No offer of dessert until we had sat, with table cleared for over 30 minutes. Asked for the bill, then “do we want dessert”. Also one of the waiters or manager was walking around, removing plates with no mask on and getting within inches of diners. Overall, a very disappointing and unsatisfactory experience. We would not go back nor recommend it.More
We celebrated our 50+ years of marriage at the Casa Isabel on February 19th and the evening could not have been more perfect! When we arrived for our reservation we were seated promptly with a beautiful view of the city. The waiter was very pleasant…and took our drink and food order. All four of us ordered the filet mignon and each order was expertly prepared and cooked as requested. We could not have more satisfied with our dinners. Then to top off our evening when we finished with our dinner they waiter arrived with a large piece of cake with garnish and lit candle on top on a plate they said Happy Anniversary! The waiter also told us they were playing a song for us and invited us to dance which we all did. This is the kind of anniversary celebration you dream about and the Casa Isabel staff made it all come true. We can’t thank them enough for making this such a perfect evening that we will never forget!More
As expected the view from Casa Isabel is marvellous. We arrived at 5:30 and enjoyed the last of the sun from our table for four. It’s magical to watch the lights around the bay come on as evening arrives. Now to the dinner and service:…flawless on both counts. Two of us had the mahi mahi prepared perfectly. One enjoyed the spicy penne with shrimp, and one more had the ribs which he said were very nice, meaty and a generous portion. Our waiter, Hector, did a great job. We spent some extra time enjoying the music in the bar area after dinner. Casa Isabel makes for a wonderful Puerto Vallarta dinner experience.More
Get a reservation timed to the sunset and have the experience of a lifetime in a very beautiful spot. Take a cab; the climb is tough. Stay for dinner and have mahi mahi. Heaven, or close to it in many ways!
Case Isabel is a beautiful restaurant with a nice ambience, live music, and a great view of Puerto Vallarta. Our meals were delicious, nice size portions, an attractive presentation, and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. I will definitely return to this restaurant…before our vacation ends. This was one of the best meals we have had in PV so far.More
While view is stunning and prices reasonable, the food and service was incredibly disappointing. The guacamole was average. I could not finish the tuna dish as the fish was not fresh -and the risotto too chewy. We had to ask to order our food after…almost 30 minutes sitting there and pour our own wine as the waiter was inattentive and uncaring. I will not go back.More
This was one of our favorite places to eat. Elizabeth Taylor owned the home at one time. It’s location is high up on the hillside, so the view is incredible. the food is fantastic and the Mexican coffee they make is a show in itself….Can’t recommend a place more. The trip up there is a cab is an experience in itself.More
I love this place but twice had reservations made that they had no record of. Each time made sure they had the name, date and number of people correct. They even asked if it was a special occasion and said happy hour was extended an…hour. This last time they never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert, knew it was for a birthday and did nothing special. Live entertainment was good dinner music. Not sure how to make sure of correct reservations even when they repeat it back to you and give you the name of the person you’re talking to. Guess it’s a language barrier and a common way things are done in a Mexico.☹️More
Wonderful service, entertainment and delicious food! We had the special and enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. (4-6). We also enjoyed live entertainment…
Definitely worth the trek or Uber ride. Awesome views. Good service. Good happy hour . Can’t wait to return.
Very romantic (muy romantico). A fantastic view of Vallarta and Bahia de Banderas – especially at sunset. Wonderful food and is also a cute, beautiful boutique hotel. I have been there many, many times. Will always return.
Today was my birthday. 71. We had dinner with friends. We had the same waiter we’ve had every time. Our friends had never been their, so it was their first time. First of all the venue is fantastic. Nestled in the hills of Alta Vista…between Zona Romantica and Amapas. Steep streets to get there so I recommend a taxi or Uber. Such a peas evil venue. The views of the bay are phenomenal. We arrived prior to 6:00 to take advantage of their happy hour. The margaritas were awesome. Our service was great, we had salads and calamari for appetizers. We noticed that the menu was reduced since our last visit. Had the chicken, fish, filet, and ribs. All our food was awesome. They served the birthday cake and gave me a shot of tequila. We finished by watching the sun set and listening to the live music. Our friends were impressed and, like us, will return. Fair prices great drinks, great views, sea breezes and sunset in a quaint boutique hotel in the hills of Alta Vista. Doesn’t get any better than this.More
What a great little restaurant on the mountain side. Food was amazing and the views were just beautiful of the city. Definitely worth a night out!
