Great, upbeat atmosphere. Staff were amazing. The salsa made table side is second to none – as is the guacamole. Our entrees were really good as well.
Casa Tradicional is a must visit whilst in Puerto Vallarta. The entertainment and vibe of the place is all about fun. The staff are amazing and the food delicious. Run by a local family, we have visited many times and could (and mostly do) visit…every night. We first visited over three years ago and returned this month and it was just like old times. Absolutely highly recommended.More
Little above average Mexican fare, Margaritas were weakened by too much ice. Pouring the tequila at the table was fun. We ordered fajitas which were also flamed at the table. Fajitas were of average flavor. The wait staff was very accommodating.
We celebrated a birthday here and the staff was amazing and the food was outstanding. We loved everthing about this place!!
Opens at 12:00pm, great menu. Salsa was made fresh at our table and the food was delicious! This will be a sure stop on our next trip to Puerto Vallarta!
We enjoyed a nice Mexican dinner here. Food was excellent, as was the service. My wife loved the enchiladas in mole sauce she had. Highly recommended!
Everything we had was delicious. The Guacamole, the Octopus, the Short ribs, the Mahi Mahi. A wonderful selection of Tequila. Alejandra was so nice, helping us with food choices and she even shared a recipe. This place is a must stop dinner downtown!
Decided to go back for dinner last night and were less than impressed. Seems they have put show biz in front of food . Took much sizzle literally. Ordered Fajitas and they hope around by the table with tequila flambé. Was just average and a…lot more money than most places at 410 pesos. Wine list have big markups too. There are so many choices about that unless they get back to food over fluff will go elsewhere.More
We were here one year ago and looked forward to coming back this year. The food was great again…. Personally I don’t like garlic in salsa as not really traditional Mexican but luckily I saw it before the salsa was blended at our table. I…don’t remember the salsa stirrer asking for a tip last time , but maybe I just didn’t notice. Also, we requested a table side song from the guitarists, who were in house, not Street travelling mariachi, and when my husband went to tip he was told they ask $150 pesos for each song! I had the combination plate with pork, carnitas michoacan and barbacoa. All were great and came with warm tortillas and toppings to make tacos out of them. My husband had the beef rib and it was huge and flavourful. It came with a simple salad. We ordered one bottle of white Pinot Grigio. It was $45 Canadian which we thought was really pricey. We didn’t have appetizer or dessert or coffee, just the two meals, a bottle of wine and two corona. It was $200 Canadian approximately. Though we were glad we had come back, we really don’t remember it being that expensive the last time we were thereMore
We had a family dinner here and loved it. The service was great and food was spot on. Everyone raved about their entrees. I started with the tortilla soup and its the best i have ever tasted. Also, they really know how to present the…fajitas with flames and dancing. They even did a special birthday dance with sparkers for our dad. We would absolutely return.More
I always look for restaurants that provide me with the authenticity in regional food choices, along with an enjoyable environment that enhances the foodie/dining experience. I found it in this small, “around the corner”, restaurant in PV. The staff were smiling, friendly, helpful and happy…to assist me in my choices that evening.More
I was underwhelmed by this restaurant. When we walked in, I immediately felt that it was a tourist attraction. Very expensive food. We started with the guacamole and fresh salsa, which was made by the table. Both were good, but I found it strange that…the guacamole maker had a tip jar sitting on his tray. I’m happy to pay a tip at the end of the meal but I don’t like to be asked repeatedly. The wandering musicians had horrible feedback issues with their microphones. Although their songs were connected to the restaurant’s music system, you also had to pay for a song from them. I’m happy to pay for songs and service but it felt like everywhere I turned, people were asking for more money. The food was good and the drinks were ok. When fajitas are served, the servers do a little dance and light the dish on fire. I appreciate their passion but it just felt touristy. Perhaps that should be expected for a restaurant off the Malecon but I’ll pass on a return.More
Wow!! This place is LEGIT!! I felt “at home” the moment I walked in the door. I was referred to this place by 3 different people..today and it did not disappoint. I had the guacamole and salad made table side, spinach salad and the traditional…fish dinner. Each and every course was delicious and served with the heart of PV to the core. The service was top notch and exactly what my soul needed. Each and every person here “sees you” and aims to meet your need on all levels. Thank you for making me feel at home????this is a must stop in PVMore
My first time in Puerto Vallarta and a friend recommended this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and the staff was so friendly. Loved the traditional decor. Watching the different types of salsas being made in front of us in the…traditional molcahete was such a treat! Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted fresh. Would definitely recommend.More
There were 3 of us for dinner celebrating one’s birthday!! The place is beautifully decorated Mexican style, I love the effect of the Red walls and colorful lighting. The food and the drinks were fantastic!!! they made from scratch this natural delicious sauce for the…nachos!! The main course all dishes were simply superb. They have guys playing guitar and singing, but if you want them to play at your table they charge per song ( believe is more or less $8.00 dollars per song, but you pay in Mexican pesos=$150). This is not a “cheap” place, it’s not extravagant expensive, but compare to other places I feel I should say this. This is applicable to food and drinks. The Only thing I could say they need to improve is in the “Service” our waitress was not the best, but yet, the young boy was very attentive (that compensated a bit). We even told them about it.More
