Great burgers here that I did not expect in PV. Taste of beef in Mexico is often questionable but burger here was juicy and full of flavours. Atmosphere was a bit confusing with lots of mixed party sounds from the surrounding area, so not recommended…for a romantic evening. They don’t accept credit card so need to bring cash. But overall it was a positive experience, especially when craving something different after eating lots of Mexican foods.More
Where to begin? We were hot and tired and my husband wanted a burger. We happened to see Derby City Burgers down a side street. It’s easy to Miss if you aren’t paying attention. Welcomed in immediately and the ceiling fans were turned up in…our honor. ???? service was amazing and so attentive. I didn’t get the name of our server but he had lovely green tint in his hair. Husband ordered the Big Kahuna Burger, friends ordered the mahi mahi burger and the blue grass burger. I had chicken tenders. So good! Kahuna burger was massive and delicious and everything was so fresh! Drinks were so delicious that we stayed for a few more ???? we would highly recommend Derby City Burgers and cannot wait to go back.More
Yum! The burger choices are out of this world. So delicious and worth very penny, although not expensive. Really hit that I need a burger and fries mark.
We went to Derby City Burgers on our last night in PV as we were tired of Mexican food. The seating at Derby City Burgers is all outdoors, but the tables are all covered by a large canopy providing necessary shade or protection from the…rain. We both had a Derby burger on fries. The house speciality is the Derby Jumbo hamburger — you will have difficulty getting your mouth to take a bite. One inch thick burger, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo which is served with friends. A real lunch or dinner fix Enjoy
I just had a Mexican jalapeno burger it did not taste that good, it taste better when they were over at the other place
We have visited Derby Burgers about 4 or 5 times over the past several weeks. Their burgers are great and service is always good. They have a variety of specialty burgers, wings, chicken, salads, sandwiches etc on the menu so you can always try something…new for a change. We have never been disappointed.More
Plenty to choose from: burgers of all types, mahi and shrimp burgers, Turkey burgers, super salads, and yummy thick shakes. This place is now a standard go-to in PV. Go early—fiveish—-and take cash. For first-timers, ask directions. Back in off beaten Olas Altas track. Worth…the walk.More
Didn’t feel like tacos today and we came across this gem! Fast service. Hubby and I decided to split a club sandwich with a side salad. So glad we did. Sandwich was huge. Not a traditional Club sandwich that I’m used to. This had ham,…Turkey, bacon, 2 types of cheese, lettuce, tomato and a special sauce. 1/4 of sandwich was left and brought back to our place. So good! A must try place.More
Very reasonably priced and hamburgers were delicious but highlight was the milkshake.. entertainment was fun.
Okay, after you’ve been in Mexico for two weeks, you just have to have a burger and fries! Never thought I’d say that. This is the place!! We had the house burger which was excellent because of the freshly made patty with the sweet potato…fries. Nice place, tucked away a bit. We were there in the evening, would love to eat there during the day.More
I wanted a great lunch experience before heading back to the resort, I tried to sift out the fake TripAdvisor review, so I settled on Derby City Burgers. The service was average, there were a few people on the patio, which is where I sat….I ordered the Derby Burger; it wasn’t anything special, tasted like a 3 star resort burger, and I didn’t even finish my meal. Derby City Burgers is not horrible, you may like the food, however I didn’t enjoy my burger. I have had great burgers all over the world, so I would not even consider eating here again, and certainly would not recommend. Moving forward, using a mobile device via Wi-Fi was not the best strategy to review restaurants when hungry, next time I need to plan better in advance.More
Just a break from tacos…we came here for some wings. Service was excellent and fast. Wings were good and saw that the burgers were huge. Priced right.
Excellent Margaritas!!! The burger and onion rings fabulous. Came here the night before leaving and we’re sorry we won’t be able to come back. 2 thumbs up!!!!
