Tuna tostada was amazing! Best tostada I ever had! Steak fajita was fabulous. Meat was tender and well flavored. Wonerful Pico de Gallo and fish broth cam immediately. Prices are very reasonable. For five stars, they should not have made us ask for the free…Kaluah.More

This place is recommended by cab drivers, but has never lived up to it. We tried it a few years ago and were unimpressed. After another recommendation we gave it another try, but were disappointed. The sea bass was tough, leading us to believe they…substituted something else or didn’t know how to cook it. The seafood soup which was otherwise pretty good had slices of imitation crab legs in it. The octopus was good, but not as good as Victors which is just a short walk away. Good strong margaritas. Not planning to try it a third time.More

On the very north end of the marina. We came around just when it opened around noon and it was empty inside except for the staff being seated around two tables. Maybe getting pumped up for the start of the day? Anyways, we got seated…quickly and food came out rather quickly too being we were the first customers. We were treated to a shot of tequila and a shrimp broth to start. The shrimp broth is like a seafood soup with a single shrimp meatball in it. It was…okay. We ordered a mango smoothie, fried rice, chicharrones de pescado, and coleguita platter. Wanted to get the Red Snapper, but they were out 🙁 The mango smoothie was huge, but it was really good. The fried rice was okay, I just really needed to get some fried rice in me after eating mexican for so many days. The chicharrones wasn’t that great. I don’t think I’ve ever had chicharrones before, so maybe my expectations were off, but it was basically just fried dough. There’s barely any fish meat in there. It was oily, and dry, and crunchy. The platter was okay too. The soup was kind of meh, lacked in flavor, the fish in this plate was actually pretty good, and the shrimp on the side again was just average. Ended with a complimentary fried bananas dessert, which was really good, and a kalhua, which is, well, kalhua. Overall, the meal was okay. Probably paid around $40 usd for a family of 4 total. So a decent deal, but you’re in Puerto Vallarta, you can find just as a good prices on a much better meal even just down the block in the marina.More

Had a very enjoyable meal with excellent service from our waiter Daniel and the other staff. Meals include a tequila shot, a tasty shrimp broth, kaluha and a fried plantain dessert. All our meals were very generous portions and very tasty. One of the best…meals we’ve had in the area.More

Not on the main concourse where the more popular restaurants are located. But a very delightful experience starting with free tequila, Mariachi band and desert delights (Kaluha and plantains dessert). I order the 2 lobster plate ($35 US) and my wife had the lobster meal…($23 US). It’s cash so leave your credit card at home. We’ll be back.More

This place is always busy so we decided to give it a try. What a disappointment. My wife had fish tacos. Both were under cooked and batter was soggy. My friend and I both tried the jumbo coconut shrimp dish a dish I order regularly….The breading was soggy and not crispy as it should have been. At the same time they were over cooked. I couldn’t finish. And at $25 bucks the side of just rice and carrots was unremarkable.More

We visited here last night on a recommendation. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table next to a large group. We we’re pretty much ignored in favor of the large group that was obviously regulars. Our waiter took our order…and that was the last time he gave us one iota of attention. The hostess brought us out some fish soup in a cup that was ok. The one interaction with our waiter happened when he took our order. My entree, coconut shrimp came our immediately. Well before our drinks or my husbands entree. It came out so fast and lukewarm that there was no way they cooked it fresh. I can say that the portions were humongous and we could not finish them. The coconut shrimp was just ok, I didn’t care for the pineapple sauce it came with, too sweet. And like I said earlier, it was lukewarm and not freshly cooked. My husband got the shrimp pasta and he said it was good, lots of shrimp. Back to the large table…they were loud, noisy, friendly and fun and we didn’t mind as it was loud in the restaurant and we chatted with one of the gentlemen. The waiter and hostess were giving them tons of attention, complementary tequila shots, dessert and Kailua drink. We were told this was normal for this restaurant and part of the meal. Due to the fact that we were ignored we got none of that. Nada! By the time we were done the restaurant had cleared out and we waited……..and waited….. no offer of a to-go container for our leftovers, no shots, no dessert, no Kailua drink, no bill. The small table next to us, that was also ignored, finally said something to the table buser in Spanish to get both our tables the bill and the boxes. The buser got both quickly. I looked around for our waiter and he was no where in site. He must of took his tips and gone home. Anyway, that was our experience. I doubt we will go back. So many other great restaurants to pick from.More

English menu only online unable to have printed copy at the table so glad I brought my phone to use internet. Fresh salsa but packaged chips. So crazy to eat taco chips from a package. I can do that from home. Staff not friendly or…helpful. No beef options as they ran out for the day at 630 pm. Fish broth given with no explanation. Busy restaurant so obviously they cater to their regulars. Too many great restaurants around to return here. Very disappointed I had fish tacos el pastor style and you couldn’t eat without them falling apart. My husband had chicken fajitas. Both dishes had good flavour.More

Very pleasant staff, but for late lunch on 10/22/22: -Menu problems. Hostess directed us to the QR menu. Waiter told us it was the previous month and not valid. Didn’t offer a paper menu. We had to ask. -Slow service. Had to flag for attention….Long wait for beverages & food after ordering. A table next to ours arrived after us served before we could order. -Food: My shrimp combo was cold (hot plate, cold shrimp). Wife’s reported ahi salad was great. Very disappointed given the many excellent reviews. Maybe an off day. But yikes!More

A local restaurant at the Marina with good sea food and reasonable prices. The coconut shrimp are ample – 19 on my order and my wife love’s their fried rice, but they do sell out of that from time to time. The only problem we…had that 1/2 through the meal a Mariachi Band wondered through and was so loud, especially the trumped, that it made your ear ring. Sad that this music ruined an other wise very pleasant experience. They should have set up on the Marina side where the sound did not echo through the restaurant.More

We have visited this restaurant regularly when in PVR over the last 10+ years. It was always excellent with good food and service……but not anymore! For reference, dinner consists of a cup of seafood broth, an entree, fried plantains/vanilla sauce and a small kahlua &…cream. First, we sat down and were told we were only allowed 1 menu per table. Second, they brought the “authentic” seafood soup which now had a “fake” crab piece in it. We ordered our usual dishes. Server dropped off one of our dishes and walked away. The 2nd dish was missing but servers were no where to be seen. Eventually the 2nd dish showed up without explanation. The dishes: 1) mahi-mahi topped with shrimp — the fish was overcooked and the shrimp were tiny and not even de-veined. 2) coconut shrimp & fish — the fish was so-so and since the shrimp were covered in coconut breading, they were probably not deveined either. No one ever came back to check how anything was. The plantains were tough and tasted like rubber. Then we were told no drink “we’re out of kahlua” — how can that happen? We rushed around and took transportion to/from this restaurant which closes early by 8pm. We’ve put up with that in the past because the food/service had been good. Most other restaurants stay open late. We will not be back and don’t recommend anyone go there!More
