We were five people on WED, 11JAN2023. Alan was our server and he and his team were professional and friendly. We ate under a palapa on the sand. A guitarist and vocalist performed very well for all most of the night. The bartender knows his…craft as our martini glasses were chilled. We had five appetizers including calamari, oysters, crab cakes, and seafood tacos. One in our party said they were the best calamari he’s ever eaten and he’s VERY well-traveled. The entrees we ordered were all also very good. I had the seafood enchiladas. We all had dessert as well and nothing disappointed. A fantastic experience. This was my seventh visit to this restaurant since 2016.More
This is a large restaurant with indoor dining room, patio, and supper time beach dining. We chose the beach for supper, such that we would arrive while the sun was still up and watched it go through its setting phases – stunning! The tables on…the beach were elegantly arranged. Staff was quick to respond both to order taking and service. They were all very friendly and helpful. The menu is diverse and appealing. We shared the lobster tacos appetizer – delicious! We enjoyed our mains and drank our dessert. The food, the service and especially the beautiful setting made for a memorable evening. We would be delighted to return for supper.More
My family and I got into Puerto Vallarta, we found el dorado and decided to try it out. However, they were completely full. The hostess got us a spot and Alfonso and Leo were our servers. They made the entire night! Everything was great and…we are so grateful for them and the staff. We had an excellent night and would highly recommend el dorado. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the scenery = all 10/10. We came here for a post-engagement dinner, and it was perfect. We had Javier as our server, and he was very kind, helpful, and attentive. The shrimp and lobster dishes were…to die for. Definitely recommend!!More
Alfonso was great and the music and vibes were excellent! Highly recommend the seared tuna. Make sure you get here to watch the sunset over the beach!
Christmas Eve dinner, we had done beach days at the restaurant so decided to book the Christmas Eve dinner, first the setting was beautiful, the tables on the beach with perfect place settings, our attentive and efficient servers Alfonzo and Leo. The timing was perfect…not rushed but not slow either . The 4 course meal was delicious and perfect. We had a 7 pm reservation so we saw the sunset from our table in sand. With Tiki lights and soft lanterns, lovely live music, I would highly recommend booking here not just for the special dinners like this but any day or eveningMore
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Food was delicious but the wine selection was very disappointing and over priced.
This is such a magical setting. The service was fantastic and the food amazing. Mar was our hostess who made sure we had a cab at the end of the night and was flexible in letting us choose another table. Erick was our server who…tended to all of our needs. Christmas decorations adorned the restaurant made it really festive. We also are at the sister restaurant La palapa which is why we decided to try this one also. Both are superb and 100 Percent would go back again and again. A friend recommended La palapa to us and he didn’t fail us. Lovely ambience. Amazing food. Great margaritas. Both restaurants had live music which was just at the right volume but outstanding Local talent nice to showcase.More
We spent the day on one of their beach loungers soaking up the sun and enjoying tasty food and drinks here. Attentive staff and clean beach.
We spent several days at the beach club over our week long vacation. Like most things in Mexico the staff are great. All the guys worked together to make sure drinks stayed full and service was fast. They really go out of their way to…make your day enjoyable. There is a minimum charge per person but if you are ordering a few drinks and some food it won’t be a problem. I think it was $500 pesos per person. Everything we ate was great and portions were generous. If you want to hang out on the beach for a day you can’t go wrong at El Dorado.More
Good location, very friendly staff (Leonardo +Misael), beautiful view. Food good but not anything special. Price quite high due to location I guess.

I can’t say enough great things about the guys who care of us on the beach! Gilberto, Daniel, Geovanni and Isaias are truly wonderful! Every time we go to PV we always spend our beach days at the El Dorado with these guys! They are…hands down the best! I’ve never felt so pampered. The food and drinks are always top notch; the beach chairs are so comfortable. If one inch of your toe has a shred of sunlight on it one of the guys is rushing over to re-adjust the palapa! They know us and take care of us as they might if were family! Can’t wait to get back! See you guys in January!!More
El Dorado is magical. The setting, service, cocktails, cuisine and live music accompanied by the most incredible sunsets all come together to make this a very special place. Whether sitting at the bar enjoying creative cocktails and their delectable roast oysters or tuna poke, or…dining right on the beach indulging in the nightly seafood specials, César, Miguel, Raúl, Joel, Carlos, Eli, Allen and the rest of the outstanding staff will ensure you have a perfect evening. The front desk staff at the Hotel Mío recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed! Javier provided great service and the food was delish. Right on the beach, atmosphere was special and loved it all.
