Three years since our last visit, and finally back in PV. And one of our first stops was Jorge’s. Three years is a long time and we were concerned things had changed in PV. Which they have. But not Jorge’s. And that’s a real blessing….The food, the service, Jorge(!) – everything exactly as we remember. My personal favourite for a main/entree is (or was) the the Special House Shrimp. Wow, is it good. But on our third visit during this trip, my wife convinced me to try the PIneapple Shrimp Diabla. A true taste sensation, so now I have co-favourites. If you’re in PV, go here – OFTEN. And if you like garlic, order the hummus.More

Another great meal at Jorge’s! We had the stuffed chicken and Hawaiian shrimp dishes. Superb! Love this place, excellent service & its location is so close to where we always stay.

This is a tiny restaurant with a superb kitchen – watching the professionals through the screened kitchen window near our porch table was fascinating, the results were mouthwatering and Jorge’s personal touch makes it unique. Don’t miss this one.

Short walk from all the noise. Incredible food, owners are welcoming. Wine selection good. Quieter ambience. We have been going there every visit to P.V

My parents were so excited to return to this restaurant but we were all underwhelmed sadly. We had a nice greeting upon arrival, but both my cucumber margarita and my mother’s Paloma were just ok. For our mains, we ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, pineapple shrimp,…and the fish filet. The shrimp were disappointingly small, and the bacon wrapped shrimp were not crisp and came with a sauce that we requested to have on the side. The pineapple shrimp sauce was tasty but the shrimp were minuscule. And the fish filet lacked flavor. A disappointing meal.More

On a 5 day trip, we enjoyed the food here so much that we visited twice. The staff made us feel so welcome, like they were open just for us. The drinks and food were excellent. The bacon wrapped shrimp in a Kaluha reduction was…the standout dish, but everything was absolutely delicious. This place is worth the walk up the hill, you won’t regret it!More

This restaurant was my favourite place to eat during my stay. It’s tucked away so I would have not found it if I didn’t go with new friends who brought me. Jorge was so friendly as was all the staff it felt like a tight…knit family restaurant. The margaritas were the best, and the AHI tuna steak was quite honestly the best thing I’ve eaten in my life. I went back twice during my week to eat the same dish!! Friendly, delicious and authenticMore

This is our new favorite place! Best gourmet seafood we had in all of Zona, hands down. When we went back a second time, we wanted to try something different but what we had the first time was so good we had to get it…again. Best Mahi we’ve ever had – prepared with the most delicious butter sauce. Nothing was sub par and the service was excellent. They do take reservations and it’s a good idea to make one because it’s a small place and gets packed. Jorge is awesome, always walking around talking with guests and remembered our names! His son works the bar and is very friendly as well. Wonderful place, don’t leave PV without trying it! We’ll go back every time.More

It was a busy Saturday evening and we didn’t have a reservation but we were quickly accommodated at Jorge’s. They brought out a nice little table that was set up by the sidewalk. Our meals were AMAZING!! Delicious food & wonderful presentation. Great service.

I was looking on Google Maps for a restaurant we hadn’t tried and saw this one, and was close. Had to wait a little bit to get a table (good sign). Boy were we glad we tried it! Food was great! Definitely on our repeat…list!More

Went to Jorge’s Hideaway because of a birthday. I had the coconut shrimp for 325 pesos…4 overly coated prawns that tasted pasty instead of light and crispy. It came with a very small salad and some mashed potatoes. The coconut shrimp is a huge let…down for me and our friends who ordered it as well. I also had the spinach salad for 125 pesos which was good with a sweet and vinaigrette dressing. Salad had corn, bacon, sprouts, and fairly tough spinach iso baby spinach. Friends also had the prawn mulata…I had one and it was very tasty….large shellless prawns with an oil based sauce but not overpowering at all. They can make it either spiced or not. If I ever return, I would definitely order the Mulata. I had a glass of house Merlot for 100 pesos and it came chilled so for a non wine connoisseur like myself, I liked it chill but to wine aficionados, it would have been a huge NO NO. It was a generous pour and very drinkable. Service was average and the restaurant was packed. Bring cash..no credit cards accepted. There are many other great prawn restaurants in PV at lower price points and Jorge’s food is hit and miss depending which prawn dis you order. Would not be my choice in returning.More

Four of us ate here and thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. All four had various shrimp dishes (Cardenal shrimp; pineapple shrimp; coconut shrimp; and shrimp ala mulata). All were excellent and the flan for dessert was very tasty. Service was friendly and good. Will defeat here…again this trip.More
