We came here to start our night out in PV. We sat at a table upstairs with a view of the water. It was pretty empty as we came pretty early. its super cute with a lot of charm. We just had drinks and maybe…some chips and salsa. Its a fun place, I would recommend to go.More
Four of us came here for drinks and music. We had a great time. The band was great with everyone dancing. The drinks are good and also the beef empanadas we’re really good. Will definitely come back maybe for dinner but fore sure the music!!
We had some appetizers and then stayed to listen to the live salsa band. They were amazing! The beat was great and the singers were also amazing. I highly recommend going to this place if you like to dance salsa. We had heard great things…and had high expectations, and this place did NOT disappoint!More
I have been to Puerto Vallarta 3 years in a row. I grew up in Colombia, South America where dancing is part of every social gathering. I take family, friends and my 81 year old mother. We sit at the table closest to the street,…lower level. My mother will dance and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Even my totally American friends have enjoyed this atmosphere. I am used to different cuisine, and I have enjoyed the cuban food. I honestly go there for fun, and have no problem with the cuisine. I would not order American. I might ask a suggestion from the waiters. I hope it never changes.More
The location is great, and the atmosphere is fun too. The food is pretty basic. I recommend drinking here only or maybe some appetizers. So many better places for food. But will be back thanks to everything else. Service was great too.
I really love the atmosphere here, but the food was unfortunately sub-par. Our server was great, but again the food just wasn’t as fresh or well prepared as we would have liked. For the price, I would love to give it 4 stars, but they…need to up their food game.More
To start, I’m a local chap who comes in family. Restaurant is curious, it’s full of graffities and feels without maintainance but is on purpose, too look like Cuba i guess. It is not ugly and is clean. Music is not so high, you can…chat. It is Caribbean and reggaeton. Not my taste. The food flavor is ok. Like 7/10 being a 10 the best thing you ever ate. But the quantity is low. It’s not cheap and ingredients are beans and rice. Not expensive. That’s a serious sin of these kind of experience restaurants. I do not recommend. Check it yourself but i believe is not worthy.More
We have been to Puerto Vallarta five times and each time we have said we are going to try this Cuban restaurant. We finally did and were we ever disappointed. The mojitis were terrible. There were four of us each eating a different menu item…and we all thought the food was bland and uninspiring. The plantain chips, which one of us ordered as a side were pretty much inedible. With all the great restaurants in PV, don’t bother with this one.More
Went here on a whim after walking by and hearing the music. Was stopped at the door and told we needed a reservation. A few days later I called to make a reservation and the woman on the phone told me they didn’t take reservations…– and then hung up on me!More
The place seemed fun for the music and dancing but the food was very average. Probably won’t be back. Waiters not very attentive. Just average.
The service was terrible, not friendly at all. The waitress was working upset you can feel it with each question we ask. The restroom is disgusting not only the toilet the smell was terrible, first restroom is in this condition in my Vallarta visit. I…can only imagine the kitchen. Food good but they make a mistake I order shrimp they give me stake. Vaca Frita is definitely not cuban. Beans was ok.More
I recently came here to purchase Macanudo cigars for a friend back in the states. I’m not a cigar smoker or aficionado, so I’m very unfamiliar with them. I specifically asked the girl assisting me for Macanudos and she proceeded to show me some cigars…in her humidor. I purchased 6 of them, with very little information on them, as she honestly didn’t seem to even know what she was selling. They were extremely expensive, so I assumed I had purchased what I was asking for. Immediately upon leaving the store, literally walked outside and called the person I had purchased them for. I gave them the names and info on the cigars and my friend told me, I did not end up buying what he asked for. I walked right back in to the store and asked the girl to please return them, as she had sold me the wrong thing. She refused, pointing to the no-returns policy on the receipt I was given. Understandably, this may be the policy, but when I was sold the wrong thing, and specially after I told her I didn’t know anything about cigars, and they were still packaged the way they packed them, I never even touched them. I walked out for less than 5 minutes right in front of the store, and felt I was swindled into spending $200 on something, she knew I did not request, I honestly expected a refund. The manager walked over to tell me there was nothing he could do and just kept pointing to the policy on the receipt. I will never support this business, as they are a bunch of scammers and suggest you take your business elsewhere. I went to a neighboring cigar shop after, and they were not surprised this happened there, when I told them what just had occurred. Apparently they have a reputation for scamming people and overpricing items. A very expensive lesson learned from me, and now I’m stuck with $200 worth of cigars I have no use for. Never trust this business!More
This place was so much fun! The kind of place that you were looking for when you go to Puerto Vallarta for salsa, drinks, food, band, and dancing! The margaritas are amazing! Tons of choices for tequila! We ordered ceviche which was epic! This is…a must stop for dinner and entertainment and dancing when you come to Puerto Vallarta!More
La Bodegita Del Medio was a keeper for years. It was a must place to eat whenever we were at Nuevo Vallarta or Riviera Maya. We headed there this week with a family of 10. The place is vibrant and full of music and history…and a nice bar. We headed up to the 2nd floor to eat and we needed to split up into 5 and 5 people because according to them, Covid policy would not allow 10 people at 1 table. That was fine given it appeared to be city policy. Right at the start we had the most awful waiter…..jesus, this guy was from another planet. No personality at all. OK, so no major deal. The appetizers are always great…tostones rellenos and the empanadas are stable although the empanadas are more flour than filling. Then we ordered the grilled fish, Vaca Frita, and Ropa Vieja. What a disaster. If you asked for these dishes 2 years ago it would have been a very different experience. So, So unfortunate. This is likley the list time we will come here.More
This place is awesome! The music gives it a great vibe and the mojitos are the best in town. I always go after dinner to have a few drinks, dance and enjoy the music. Highly recommend
