The waiter was very grumpy. From the beginning we felt like he didn’t want us there. The wine was sour and the cork was bad. When we mentioned it they became very defensive. The food came and it was cold. Altogether not a very good…experienceMore
The restaurnt is in Mismaloya, the small city in the south of Puerto Vallarta. It is built on a cliff and face to the ocean. The food is very good, and the scenery is AMAZING, especially in sunset.
What a spectacular setting. The views are incredible (arriving an hour or so before the sunset is a good idea). The food is really, really good (the chef will make pasta or fish sticks for kids- ours had a pasta, it was quite nice). The…staff are very attentive and nice with the exception of the quite impertinent waiter who’s just there to upswell you (he needs to tone it down, as his attitude takes away from the otherwise upscale experience). I particularly enjoyed the freshly made sauces and pretty much everything that came off the smoker. The clase azul tequila is a nice touch, as it is one of the finest, try it if you don’t have room for dessert. Will definitely go back.More
The service was rude, and slow. The tall guy with tattoos was so unrespectful. We tipped just out of courtesy, and still showed ingratitude. Reception from the hostess was perfect. I’m sorry for their waiters, slow cooking, and tasteless food.
From the moment we were seated, our servers Fernando and Andrew were attentive, engaging, and thoughtful. All four of us were delighted with the quality, and presentation of our appetizers and entrees. Perfectly fresh with the gourmet touch of interesting seasonings created by an experienced…chef. As if we needed more, as we walked into the gorgeous cliff hanging restaurant, there were whales breaching in the bay right at the food of the cliff.More
The restaurant is a wonderful experience in view, taste and service. Yes, it is expensive but worth every penny. Almost every detail is taken care of. The vertical distribution of tables in the cliff is unique. Each one is promptly served. Our table was served…by Mauricio and Javier, proud and knowledgable hosts at The Kliff. Don’t forget to taste the Chocolate Volcano dessert.More
I’ve waited very many years to visit this restaurant and I was very disappointed. There is no touch what’s so ever. Poor service. We had a great table, yet, although the view should have been the selling point, as advertised, it was very dark except…for the lights around tve trees. Other famous cliff restaurants around the world usually have flood lights to bring to ocean view to the guests. The food was ok. Too bad. It was a long long ride with lots of anticipation that turned out disappointing.More
Really one of our favorite meals ever. Incredible setting, beautiful food. Our server, Alejandro, was awesome. Excellent knowledge, super personable and a pleasure throughout.
My husband and I came back to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. Le Kliff did not disappoint. The views are amazing, the food was tasty and well-presented and our waiter, Luis (who was also our waiter 6 years ago at our wedding) treated us like…gold. Thank you Le Kliff for the complimentary prosciutto wrapped asparagus appetizer, beautiful “Happy Anniversary” chocolate dessert and for arranging our cab ride back to town.More
Found LeKLiff our first time in Vallarta back in 2016 loved it so much we came back in 2020 and finally decided to have our wedding here in 2022. It’s a must see place if on a Vallarta trip The views are breathtaking from all…levels. Service is top notch every time , the chef is stud, and Jose the manager does a fantastic job orchestrating everything. Brilliant brilliant job if I could give 10 stars I would . Jose even gave us a free bottle of don julio for our wedding to top it off . Great great job guys , we’ll back Thanks for everything Mike / DeliaMore
Had a wonderful date planned in PV and was recommended Le Kliff by a friend. It did not disappoint. The venue was so beautiful with all the stairs and views. We were there in the evening so it was nice and dimly lit. Fernando and…Mauricio were our servers and just excellent from start to finish. If you are seeking a nice date spot or a place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, this should be at the top of your list!More
Bottom line: The view was amazing. The food was average to above average. The service was awful. Beautiful setting overlooking the bay with lovely terraced grounds. The cocktails were very expensive but tasty and in line with the ambiance. We ordered one of the specials…as described to us by the waiter. They brought us a different entree. When questioned they initially claimed it was what we had ordered; on further questioning we were told the entree we ordered was unavailable but that the one they brought was better. We asked to speak to the manager; he blamed it on the waiter without offering to correct the situation; on pressing him he did offer to prepare the formerly unavailable entree. At this point our hopes for the evening were pretty much deflated and many minutes had passed, so we declined, but we did accept the manager’s offer of free desserts. Of course when the bill arrived we were charged for the desserts. Rather than prolong our misery we just paid and were glad to leave.More
AVOID! Food was nice but this is where it starts. I can’t remember the waiters name, tall bald guy who owns a Gucci belt. As soon as we sat down he offered water. We was then handed a menu with cocktails 495mx pesos each and…that’s it. We asked for a cocktail menu but apparently they don’t have one even though online I seen a list of them and his excuse was “we change them everyday”. It had taken at least 20 mins for him to bring over a wine list. He then said the specialty of the day is ‘lobster tail with steak’ and didn’t explain you pay for it individually and then offered this sharing one for ‘couples’ but again that wasn’t on the menu so no prices. We got our food and these racoon things (3 of them) was running around the place. I had one claw my leg and came back and stole the steak off the plate. None of the staff bothered properly to clear them away. They offered a new steak so we thought great. We moved seats and I came back from the toilet to find 3 SLICES of steak returned (bearing in mind we had over 3/4 of steak taken off us) We didn’t want to complain as that’s not what us English people do. We’re used to good service that doesn’t require complaints. This was shocking and disgusting. Our bill was £280 and beware the water they offer run at £9 something for 2 waters…the waiter straight away said ‘do you want the tip adding on the card’ so unprofessional and definitely not polite. Because of this I only left 200 pesos as a tip in the receipt booklet. I told him that the tip was in there and before I even left he opened the book to see how much was in there. He took the 200 out and looked at another staff member and pulled a face. He never said goodbye or thank you. Disgusting treatment you’d never get this in England. Something dodgy going on with the men there. I’m expecting them to reply with an arsey comment and a lie like they have other bad reviews. Some waiters seemed lovely but the one we had…total scammerMore
Had dinner tonight, with some friends, but unfortunately at Le kliff they had a buffet style dinner at 975 pesos per person not including drinks, food was not good at all, the waiter was very friendly and tried his best This was my 3th or…4th time there but for sure my lastMore
From the time you enter Le Kliff, you know you are some place very special, from the maître d to the fine staff assisting head waiter Alex with the meal. The maitre d and Alex have an excellent command of English and were quite indulgent…with me as I love to practice my Spanish. We went at lunch time and had soup, the combination seafood and a shrimp dish. The combination plate was huge, with pistachio crusted mahi mahi, lobster and shrimp (we could have split it). The whole experience was well worth the money. If you haven’t visited the southern part of Vallarta, do so, it is gorgeous and this restaurant is gorgeous.More
