The DJ here adds this base track to the music in the afternoon that sounds like a kid banging a drum. Really annoying. Turn the base down. Other than that. Awesome place.
Miserable servuce. We used come to this beach club, which used to charge $1000 mxp and inuded access to the club, beach chair and towel. From the 1000 mxp, you had a credit of 500 mxp to use on drinks and food. If you only…want it access to their sushi bar, you were allowed into the restaurant Today the access charge is $2000 mxp, no credit, and no access to the restaurant. The staff is extremely rude. They could care less about their clients. They judge people by their appearance when it comes to service.
Very racist… I was told to enter and feel free to sit anywhere and enjoy. That was not the case … I went upstairs to sit in one of the cabana’s mind you I am pregnant and handicapped. I need to rest and the place…was full of people. So when I was resting one of the associates came up to me , mind you there was a gentleman I knew that was sleeping at one other cabana.. they walked right by him and came straight to me and said I did not belong at the cabana… I asked them that’s fine but did you also told the gentleman that is also siting at the cabana the same thing. They ignored me and told me to leave. Another person approached me and said that the other gentleman I mentioned about also did not belong upstairs, but they left him to sleep and rest, but refused me to sit down and rest knowing im pregnant and handicapped.. what a shame , I will not come back, they are not good place to be, they portrayed a racist behavior that made me very uncomfortable.. Still a great place but has become very expensive — drinks and chairs and cabanas. Looking a little ragged. What hasn’t changed is the TOO LOUD base club beat that the DJ adds to all the music. Far too loud especially in the pool area….So much for management saying it has been fixed. Feel sorry for the poor neighbors … obvious that Mantamar does not.More
First. Julio. He’s the best. Hands down. Second. Everyone else. Friendly, fast and efficient. Good place to hang out by the beach for good sun, boy watching, food and cocktails.
Overall great beachfront and poolside venue, spent quite a few afternoons here with friends last week. Mostly drinks but really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail Special shoutout to Irving Macial (spelling?) for his exceptional service.
The place is now over rated. The beach sun loungers are worn out and all need replacing. For the prices they are charging, things should be perfect. The food is nice and the service by the serving team is good. There is also a minimum…spend per person on top of the entry price. 50USD for a day at the beach is rather a lot. A cheaper option is to go next door to Ritmos. Free deckchairs, friendly staff and no minimum spend.More
We ordered tacos, margaritas and other snacks. The margaritas were a total disappointment. Not sweet. A taste bordering on slightly chemical. Will have to think twice before returning here.
Julio Peña was my waiter. He was outstanding! Food was outstanding as well. Mantamar is my favorite beach club Puerto Vallarta.
Terrible experience with them using my credit card and overcharging. Do not leave your credit card open for a tab they are known to overcharge an exorbitant amount.
Eventhoug this is a place to have a drink and spent time at the pool and the beach, if you decide to eat there you will not be disappointed, food is really good. You should try Ceviche or Arrachera, both really good.
I got a massage at the Mantamar and it was awesome. My masseuse was Zeus and he was super friendly and handsome but more importantly very well trained. He understood what I needed in my sore shoulder and he worked on it to ease my…discomfort. Great professional massage by a friendly handsome guy. Gracias.More
Awful! Just like the hotel! They price gauge you every time they get a chance! Skip this dump and head to Green Chairs next door. Cheaper drinks and friendly service
We just spent 2 weeks at Almar which is essentially connected to the Mantamar. We spent most afternoons here having fun which was great! Just to mention a few people who made it extra special. Ricardo at Mantamar Bar who looked after us almost every…day, making sure we had everything that we needed for the perfect day at the beach. He is awesome and Jose, the host and bar manager at manatmar, always greeted with a smile and made sure we settled down for the day. Thursday through Sunday, things ramp up for the weekend and this is really fun. You can chill the other days and party in the town in the evening. If you want to avoid the party, just stay at Eden pool. We can’t wait to come back!More
