We had heard good things about Monzon Brewing so my wife and I were very glad when we happened to walk by. We sat upstairs on the outdoor veranda. I ordered the Viva la Vida as a light beer. My wife ordered a double IPA….Both were delicious but we both absolutely fell in love with the Viva la Vida. It is a watermelon infused blonde ale. So good. I ordered the Thai chicken tacos. So good! Absolutely the perfect flavor fusion. My wife loved her meal of mixed shrimp/ fish and chips. We will be back. Excellent in every way!More
Great food…super service and a price that combined to make for a pleasant evening…I live close and wondered why I hadn’t visited sooner.. but this little place stands out in an area of town know for its fine dining…if you visit here you won’t be…disappointedMore
We come to PV twice a year and eat here almost every day that we are there. The only reason I didn’t rate them a 5 is that they have to do something about their washrooms. I don’t know why staff and patrons don’t have…the courtesy of closing the door when they are done, given that the washrooms directly face dining tables. I can’t tell you how many times I had to endure with smelling someone’s sh$* while trying to eat. If you can’t put a privacy wall up, perhaps a simple sign inside the washroom requesting people to shut the door on their way out would help. It’s also gross to see staff using the same washrooms. Would be ideal if they had their own.More
We deliberately chose to arrive around 3pm to avoid any lunch crowd so had our choice of tables (wanted one with a good fan). Server noticed our choice and pointed out the end table (for 3) was even cooler, and we were welcome to sit…there. Nice selection of beer, brewed on premise. Hubby had wanted an IPA and it was refreshing and distinctive. I chose the Atlantico, which I liked. If we’d had more time, probably would have gotten the tasting flight of 4. When I was taking a photo of the vats, one of the servers suggested I could stand on the landing for stairs to upper floor office, for a better view – very thoughtful. We had the daily special: empanadas (one chose vegetable, other chose picadillo) and it came with a nice side salad. Food took a little time but was worth it – piping hot, fresh and tasty. Used the restroom before leaving, and it was in good shape. Definitely would recommend.More
Great veggie options, beer, and service. My wife and I came here twice on a four day trip! Try the chickpea sandwich, it’s awesome.
Not a beer fan but heard about their food. Visited twice had their chili hot dog and bacon cheese sandwich both were delicious
PV still has a lot of catching up to do on the craft beer scene compared to anywhere in the states, but Monzon is helping with that. I tried all of their brews and even though nothing stood out, I didn’t have any bad ones…either. Everything seemed a little on the light side, for the style. Service was good and the ambience was good as well. Easily the best brewery in PV.More
Three of us went in to have some microbrews and some food since we saw good ratings. The beers were good but the food, not so much. The service, pretty average, maybe they were just shorthanded like everyone else. We each ordered something different, but…the only thing that was good were the brisket tacos. It took us a long time to order, and then it took a long time to get our food. The final issue was when I saw they had churros on the menu (which I love). I asked the waiter how long it would take to get an order and he said 5 minutes. Ordered them and I don’t know what happened. I saw the cook put them in the fryer, but 15 minutes late they were having sone type of discussion and after 20+ I finally said cancel the order. I suggested we go back and have a couple of beers, but my friends said never again. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place.More
A fun brewery and great beers, It was nice to find IPA style beers here. The owner. Reed. was a great guy and very proud of his ales. They were solid ales and the food was authentically Mexican…a great marriage of 2 cultures. Located in…the heart of Zona Romantica, it certainly blended in with the unique culture of the zone.More
Flight got delayed so we decided to check out this brewery. So glad our flight was delayed! Place was great. Best beer I had in Mexico. Excellent service. Will return.
Great food, drinks and ambiance. Highly recommend the elote appetizer. Great place to grab a drink with friends, we watched the NCAA Finals upstairs. Service was friendly, I enjoyed the ginger beer and my husband enjoyed their craft beers. Would visit again.
Excellent brews in Mexico – outstanding variety and styles. When you can do a good saison, dipa, and imperial stout on the same menu – awesome
My wife and I are from Portland, Oregon where the beer options are endless. Monzon brews killer beer and the food is great. Get the tuna poke!
Gabby (Gabrielle) & Gabby (Gabriel) were absolutely fantastic! The service is incredible and only surpassed by the beer. We had the saison, Mexican lager, hefeweizen and NW IPA were as good as any found in the PNW (OR/WA/BC). We didn’t eat but saw the burger…and fries, and had it not been for a recent and monstrous lunch we would have had one each. My mouth was watering. 5/5 will come again. Met an American who has lived around the world and now calls PV home – he said hands down his favourite brewery in town. If you like or are interested in craft beer, a MUST VISIT. I will be dreaming about this spot and the staff until I return. ¡Muchos gracias Monzón!More
My husband is always looking for an IPA and they are very hard to find in Puerto Vallarta. This is our second year coming to Manzone just for the IPAs! We love the atmosphere, the service is excellent and the beer is fantastic!
