We had lunch there on December 10. Service and food were excellent, fabric napkins, love how restaurants have rack to hang purses, hats. Will definitely return next time in PV. Highly recommend

Distileria Oscar has EXTRAORDINARY tequila… We visited in 2016 and should have bought more. We bought six bottles on this visit because I’ll be damned if we make the same mistake twice.

We were touring the mercado and discovered Oscar’s along the way. We met Havy who provided really interesting info on tequila followed by an amazing tasting session…and so fun! Havy was so personable and hilarious! We did not feel rushed or pressured to buy and…left with a bottle we are excited to bring home amd share with our family and friends in Canada. We will definitely be returning to enjoy a meal at Oscar’s and look forward to bringing our family for a tequila tasting with Havy next November.More

We experienced brunch, dinner and tequila tasting at Oscars and had so much fun. The owner, Patricia(?), daughter of Oscar, made it very special… She has such amazing attention to detail and every detail was perfect! Our wedding group all had a blast last week…and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting experience (where Oscar’s tasting guru fulfilled his promise to engrave and deliver purchased bottles to our hotel later that day); the food was exceptional, the atmosphere lovely and staff were all very attentive. Oscar’s is a MUST VISIT when in PVR.More

Every visit I make to Puerto Vallarta, I always go to Oscars and almost every day I’m there! The food I’ve had there has always been excellent, but the draw for me is the tequila. Best tequila tasting experience I’ve ever had and the most…amazing product. Highly recommend!More

We have just finished lunch at Oscars. Really excellent food, not overpriced, good service. Highly recommended. We had the Shrimp stuffed Poblanos as an appetizer, then Catch of the day and a Shrimp Quesadilla. We are well fed. The tortilla chips are also really good…and cooked fresh.More

Love this spot! Oscar’s is right where the Malecon and Isla Cuale meet, so you can see the river and the esplanade. It’s where the ocean and urban jungle come together, and it made for a great spot to rest up and enjoy some good…food. The views and shade are so nice in this open-air restaurant. There are iguanas roaming freely and don’t bother you one bit. It’s also a step away from their Tequilla Tasting area, that’s free by the way! I went twice during my week stay in PV. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich on my first visit without the pesto sauce and mayo instead and it was a really good light fair sandwich. On my second visit, I asked my server if they had a chile relleno and he pointed me to the shrimp poblano pepper. I decided to order it but when it arrived, it was more of a raw pepper (lightly cooked) stuffed with shrimp, cheese and a ranchera sauce. The sauce was amazing, but I wasn’t feeling it overall. I asked the server for a box; he knew right away I didn’t care for it. He asked what I was looking for and I explained I wanted more of a chile relleno. He said no problem, I want to make this right for you! He had his chef make me a special chile relleno that wasn’t on the menu to bring back to my hotel. He was the nicest man ever! I thought it was the most honest, sweetest gesture and because of that I want to support every time I visit. The Chile Relleno was JAMMING by the way, the ranchero sauce here is the best! The food is great, and their tequila is pretty dang good. George of the Jungle at the tequilla bar gets mad kudos for being FUNNYYYY! Excellent service, food, ambiance and overall fab place. There’s also a random Elizabeth Taylor statue here, unsure what the purpose is but George of the Jungle didn’t know either! Hysterical!More

We were looking for somewhere that we could enjoy some tequila tasting that was away from the hustle of the tourist places on the malecon. We found Oscar’s and we were very impressed by the location and the quality of the tequila we enjoyed. Saul…was our tequila guide on our tasting journey and was both a fun companion and informative expert when it came to his wares. The tequila was incredible, especially the flavored tequilas. We had a couple of favorites. If you like coconut, chocolate and/or coffee these are the flavored tequilas for you. The aged tequilas were also incredible with deep tasting notes and a great aftertaste. We would highly recommend both Oscar’s and Saul for a fun little riverside adventure of taste!!More

Must try spot around the Malecon like forreal. The drinks were affordable and food was absolutely worth the price. A little more upscale, but definitely not a wallet killer.

I’ve walked past this restaurant many times, in and out of the flea market saying “we should stop here sometime” and today was the day. I am so happy to finally have had the opportunity to have lunch with my family at Oscar’s. What an…absolute gem! It’s a beautiful restaurant and setting with the most amazing food! Jose and Luis could not be kinder and provide exceptional service. Go hungry and go often! Oscar’s is definitely on my must visit list when in Puerto Vallarta!More

Found this hotel on Open Table. Was a good 15 minute walf from hotel but was great since we could walk via the boardwalk. The restaurant has an expensive ambivalence but food is reasonably-priced and the food is fantastic. We had their meal for two…people that included a soup or salad and a huge platter with lobster, shrimp, tenderloin and grilled vegetables all for about 100. More food than we could eat. Would definitely recommendMore

We were strolling down the boardwalk in El Centro district when we saw this beautiful river side restaurant setting up for a wedding. Javier caught our attention as we arrived and gave us a brief show of the place and then offered to join him…for a free tequila tasting. Of course we obliged! His presentation was very entertaining and polite. Both speaking and listen to us. He told us the intricacies of proper tequila production and the difference between small local distilleries and those big name brands you see in the states. We tried many tequilas: blanco, rep, anejo, extra anejo and it was easily some of the best I’ve ever had. We also sampled some anejo straight from the barrel and a few other tequila fruit blends. At the end of a fun learning experience Javi was very kind and clear that this was a free tasting and absolutely no purchase was necessary, but there was no way we were leaving that place with out bringing some bottles back with us. We made our selection and Javier even offered to ship them to our resort for free so we didn’t have to lug them around all day. What a fun experience.More
