Food here was excellent and the service was great too. The waitstaff was very attentive. Had a reservation and showed up about 30 min early but was still seated right away. Place was almost full but still had some seating left that slowly filled up…as we dined. The green chili sauce that came with the complimentary bread was excellent! Had just the right amount of spicyness to it. We also got the marinara risotti, another excellent dish, they don’t skimp on the seafood, very fresh and abundant. Same with the tricolore con pollo rose, the sauce was excellent. The fried calamari was also very well done. Not too oily and had the right amount of crunch to it! Our family greatly enjoyed this experience. Came to around $70 usd, so not a cheap eat in Mexico by any means, but a good change from the daily mexican diet we’ve been having!More

Great restaurant and location. There is seating outside (cover patio) and inside. Great atmosphere and decor. Food was excellent as was the service from our waiters Martin Galarzon and Julio Cisneros. Highly recommended!

Amazing Italian in the heart of the Marina. As close to Italia I’ve found in the Americas. Décor outside is unique. There table bread is warm and fluffy. The eggplant parm, the amatriciana with its chucks of pork are both phenomenal.

We were craving Italian comfort food, and were so happy to find Porto Bello within walking distance of the Marriott Puerto Vallarta- nearby in the marina. We went early for dinner, and enjoyed a great glass of wine, the sunset and boats, delicious food and…excellent service. Very affordable and good-sized portions. All combined for a delicious and memorable meal. Thank you! Gracias!More

Both locations of Porto Bello do a great job! The food is always good and the waitstaff is wonderful. They do a great job with large family groups or a simple date night.

Excellent restaurant. Delicious food. Perfect temperature Attentive staff. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and will continue to frequent it. Should anyone have a issue with social distancing, you can request a table before you are seated and they will accommodate…you likely inside. Most evenings are very full for dinner and we are pleased the social distancing has loosened especially in the open air environment throughout most of the marina restaurants.More

We were there for what transpired for Terry and were stunned by staff reaction. They seemed amused and quite taken by the the fact that half a bottle of wine was left. No one made a move to correct the public health issue. We left…and won’t return.More

We have been visiting Peurto Vallarta for many years, and have always had wonderful experiences at restaurants (including this one), until last night. We were two couples, and had an early reservation so we could enjoy a leisurely dinner with good wine, good food, good…service, and each others company. We had finished our cocktails, were enjoying appetizers and a nice bottle of chianti, when things went south. A large party (12 – 14) arrived, and they obviously weren’t expected. Staff scrambled to push tables together to accomodate them. The problem was they arranged the tables so that this large group were practically sitting right up against us. We shared our concerns about the lack of physical distancing (as per local covid restrictions) with our waiter, and asked to be moved to another table. We didn’t expect that to be a problem as the dining room was only about half full. Nothing was done. The waiter ignored our request, as did the hostess. So we all got up, paid for what we consumed, and left. Such a shame, as they obviousy were not concerned about the safety of their patrons. Plenty of other excellent restaurants that do care, and worthy of our business.More

Now THAT’s a martini! Porto Bello on the Marina in Puerto Vallarta served it up right, overflowing and with gigantic stuffed olives meaty enough to be a meal in themselves!!! ???? As for the Vitello Porto Bello (Veal cutlets in a creamy white wine sauce,…smothered with Porto Bello mushrooms and topped with grilled shrimp) it never disappoints! Uh, dinner last night… not breakfast this morning, sigh!More

We went on a Tuesday evening wanting to have some Genuine Italian food … we were in for a surprise . We were welcome at the door and taken to a nice table. The scenery is great and the service was ok ! We were…first asked if we wanted bottle water or regular water , we asked for bottle water thinking we were to get 1 big bottle of water for the 3 of us … nope we got 3 small bottle at 40 pesos a piece… lots of restaurant charge 40 pesos for a beer … Then we ordered a bottle of wine 780 pesos , it was just ok , over priced but ok … We ask for calamari’s as an appetizer … it came direct from a frozen bag … we seen it at some cheap restaurants in Canada . Same texture, same look … The lasagna came dry , the salmon farfale came with about 1 1/2 ounces of smoked salmon and the penne amatracia was the worst I’ve ever had. I just love these pasta and have them everytime I go out at an Italian eatery. This one was the worst I’ve ever had , spicy tomatoes sauce ( same that came with the calamari’s ) and with about an onze of pancetta. Nothing else , no onions or any other veggies in it . The last straw was when the waiter took the the bottle of wine to toss it away and there was about 1/4 of it left … ok after we told him he brought it back but what a lack of professionalism ! We paid 2700.00 pesos inclusive of tips ( 15 % ) and left laughing at the whole ordeal. We spend 3 months in PV every winter , we eat out every night, it was the first time that we felt like we literally got con by the nice scenery. Never again at this restaurant , so many nicer place at a fraction of the cost we paid to have to get bad food and poor service. Thanks, PJTMore

This restaurant is located in the Marina. It was a short 15 minute walk from the Marriott Puerto Vallarta. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated for our 6:30 reservation. Salvatore introduced himself as soon as we sat down. He handed out menus and offered…water. A basket of warm bread was served while we were waiting for our wine. The restaurant offers a wide range of wines at different price points. We shared a baby calamari to start. The calamari was lightly breaded, sweet and tender. Our salads were greens with slices of orange & strawberry, pecans and feta cheese. The dressing was perfect for this salad. The osso bucco was fall off the bone tender. Mushroom risotto that came with this dish was simply delicious. Tiramisu was the perfect choice to finish our dinner. Service was outstanding. Staff were pleasant and attentive. They cleared dished as needed. Offered cracked pepper as well as parmesan cheese as soon a the dishes were served. A nice place to unwind and enjoy good food and service.More

Dropped in for dinner after a day long tour into the Sierra Madre mountains. Very busy restaurant on a Thursday. Recommend making reservations. Got a table on the patio, with a nice view. Prompt, professional, polite wait staff. I had a Caesar salad, rotini with…prosciutto and tomato sauce, and a chocolate crepe with ice cream for dessert (Tiramisu was sold out.). The meal was very good, the right-sized portions, and reasonably priced for the meal quality and ambience of the premises. I would definitely go back in the future.More
