I would not recommend going to this restaurant during busy season. We had to wait an hour for our food, and although other tables were served chips & salsa immediately upon arriving, we recieved ours with our meal. Not impressed. I had to speak to…management to enquire when our food would arrive. There obviously had been some sort of mixup with our order, and when the bill arrived there was no allowance offered.More

This is my favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, and we always come back every year. The food is excellent and the peaceful atmosphere along the river is fantastic. Highly recommended!
Our breakfast here was excellent. Delicious coffee and excellent Egg dishes. Service and Staff were very professional and personable. Such a lovely relaxing setting.
Had a brilliant meal last night for our Anniversary, the food was amazing, (3rd December).I had octopus to start my wife a vegetarian had what she described as the best mushroom soup ever , for a main I had rack of lamb, she had ravioli,…was an excellent choice, we were given a special dessert off the restaurant, absolutely amazing staff, can’t do enough for you, would highly recommend, get there you won’t be disappointed, they are doing a 4 course Christmas dinner 24th-25th December, we are home then but back next year for Christmas, Go to this restaurant on the river on the IslandMore
I haven’t been here in more than ten years, but it was good then and even better now. I went for lunch and was very impressed with the food and service. We had the small river seating and had a nice river breeze. We lucked…out as it was two for one drinks and their margaritas were delicious. I had their shrimp as an appetizer and their seafood linguini was excellent. Overall a wonderful meal. I’ll be back next year.More
We tried this restaurant tonight as friends had eaten there at lunch and liked it. Setting is indeed lovely – so might be fine for a drink and the live violinist is good. But, we ordered the beet carpaccio mistakenly thinking it said “Beef”Carpaccio. Our…bad, but, nonetheless taste was off even for a veggie dish. I ordered the marinated octopus that was supposed to be done with olives, pesto and arugula. It came laced with mayonaise all over it and no evidence of olives nor pesto. I’m adventuresome, but, I couldn’t even eat it with so much mayonaise squirted all over it. To their credit, when I expressed surprise that it had mayo when it wasn’t in the description, they did remove it from the bill. The service is very nice, so no fault there. And, the mushroom soup was fine. Perhaps some of their entrees are fine, but, I wouldn’t be game to try it again to see. Wish I could report better, as it’s sad to see a nice restaurant sit empty with only 3 people in it, but, perhaps this is why.More
We had a memorable meal in this large restaurant that was quite empty. There were many waiters all of whom were courteous and lovely. Perhaps it was our early reservation at 7 pm and people arrived later. We wondered if we had made a mistake…but the food was sublime. I had a pear salad and artichoke ravioli and it was delicious especially the thin homemade pasta and the light tomato sauce. My friend enjoyed the fish of the day which was mahi-mahi and she was delighted with the array of vegetables. The music was good , both the recorded jazz and the musician singing old favourites. Other than the empty room everything was very good.More
I brought my sweetheart here to celebrate her birthday. It was my first time here, and we could not have been happier with our selection. The restaurant is a beautiful, quiet haven that overlooks a slow moving river. When I told Miss Veronica, the hostess,…that we were celebrating a birthday, she didn’t show any expression at all, but went to see if a table was ready. When she returned and led us to our table, it was the best spot in the whole place: a quiet table literally hanging over the river. My girlfriend thought it was the greatest spot ever! Honestly, the brunch could have been terrible and we still would have been happy, but the food and service was wonderful. Lots of selections of Mexican and international foods, as well as assorted Juices. I can assure you that if I am ever in PV on a Sunday again, I will spend my morning here.More
On a recent trip to PV we went to the River Cafe twice. We went on a Sunday for the brunch, then later in the week for lunch. The food is delicious, the waiters are wonderful, the service is awesome! Everyone is delightful here! The…restaurant is on the river Cuale and it is open air. Sometimes you see iguanas in the trees. We return here every time we come to PV. You will not be disappointed!More
We dine here our last night in town in PV. This has been our tradition for 10+ years. The live music, sitting in the trees overlooking the river, the food (OMG the food), and the service make this a special place. You can’t go wrong…with any dish on the menu. Make time for a visit!More

We ducked into this place after an hour shopping at the little tends on the Cuale. It was very hot and we were delighted that this open walled, expansive place was so cool and quiet. We sat at a table overlooking the river, literally in…the trees and had great margaritas, salads, fish tacos, and a superb seared tuna sandwich with avocado. Great happy hour. Two for one drinks. The guitarist duo was very beautiful. Lovely restaurant and staff. Would highly, highly recommend.More
We love this awesome restaurant! The location is spectacular, the service is great, and the food is even better. We love that they have a separate vegan menu and the servers are extremely knowledgeable about vegan requirements. Sip a margarita, eat tasty food, and be…serenaded with live traditional guitar music. What better place to meet friends and enjoy!More
