Looking for excellent food, great (friendly) service, eat at The Sea Monkey you will not be disappointed!! Tried so many, from Daiquiri Dicks, Kaiser Maximilian, Le Dolce Vita and inexpensive restaurants throughout the romantic zone, the sea monkey is consistent with food and service! Whether…you are eating in the restaurant on the Melicon, or enjoying it on the beach, experience a hearty breakfast and amazing dinner. If you like coconut shrimp, be prepared for the best.More

Really good mango margaritas while enjoying the view. Both had chicken scallopini, one piccata, the other Marsala mushroom, both tender and delicious. Great service. We’ll be back

Overlooking the bay and malecon, this is arguably one of the prettiest views for drinks and dinner in PVR. They have a lovely bar separated from the restaurant for a pre or post-dinner cocktail, then the gorgeous dining room with its walls of windows that…open wide for the sea breeze, or sometimes, music coming from the street below. Our dinner started deliciously with shrimp poached perfectly in Sambuca-infused cream sauce. The mahi mahi entree was also perfectly fresh and tender in a light tomato and caper sauce. Dessert was a decadent cheesecake. The chef and his team are warm and welcoming, and extraordinarily talented!More

The chef Raul has great talent and a wonderful personality. He personally came to tell us what the specials were. The lasagna and Mahi Mahi were delicious. The venue is gorgeous looking up the Malecon and onto the cathedral listening to the church bells ringing….It is worth giving this restaurant a try.More

Nice happy hour with a great view. We stumbled across this restaurant while enjoying a port day on a cruise. Located right next to our Lady of Guadalupe at the end of the Malecon, it’s in the perfect location for a rest and view.

We have been coming to PV for thirty years. The Seahorse is my favorite PV restaurant. So many things make it a truly special place. First the chef/owner Raul is the nicest and hardest working chef we know. His dining room is beautiful with gorgeous…views of the coast. The prices are so affordable, most of the entrées are around 200 pesos. The food is fabulous. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday so we ordered up. Started with Top Shelf Martini’s at 140 pesos, $7.00. then moved on to wine with dinner 125 pesos,$6.00. Also shared a Caesar salad. Raul came to our table to tell us about the Specials. Husband ordered the special. chicken parmesan with pasta 230 pesos that came with a side of really delicious pasta. I ordered the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes 230 pesos. excellent. Topped it off with their special ice crème dessert. As others have mentioned on certain nights there can be noise from the Malecon due to entertainers with a microphone. Chef Raul has been a chef at several famous restaurants in the USA. I happy that he now has his own place to shine.More

We stepped in for dinner at The Seahorse as we had heard good things about it, plus the location was perfect for our Sunday evening walk near the church. We entered and were greeted by Raul Garcia, the owner/chef. All six of us found our…meals to be delicious. The view is beautiful with full picture windows all around. There also is an outdoor bar/dining adjacent to the restaurant that looks perfect for a happy hour. I had the chicken picatta and it was very tender and flavorful. The Caesar salad was also great. We chatted with Raul upon leaving and found that he worked as a chef at Il Fornaio, one of Denver’s highly rated restaurants, for 30 years. He has a shelf with some hats from Il Fornaio and several award plaques for his 30 years of service with the company. His restaurant expertise shows at The Seahorse.More

Puerto Vallarta is filled with wonderful restaurants, but the Seahorse is special. The view from the restaurant is spectacular and the food as prepared by Chef Raul Garcia is outstanding. I ate the best Seafood pasta, I ever had. Very reasonably priced too. It is…a must when visiting Pto. Vallarta. The cocktails were great. At lunchtime there is a two for one special.More

View is amazing and the restaurant with white tablecloths is beautiful. The owner chef is very nice. He came to our table twice. The waiter was nice speaks very limited English . The food was delicious and very reasonable prices. Only problem was the music…and noise from outside plus the restaurants music was overwhelming making the whole experience not relaxingMore

We visited this restaurant twice in the past few weeks. It exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The chef is very creative and his sauces are wonderful. We’ve enjoyed excellent appetizers, from salads to a shrimp feature, to a great selection of main courses….My husband enjoyed their mahi mahi puttanesca enough to order it both times. Same for me with their chicken piccata. Our friend ordered the chicken Parmesan and highly recommended it. Overall, the experience was great and we plan to be regular customers. The prices were great too. The view over the Malecon is the best, but because it is on the square where there is entertainment on weekends, unless you enjoy loud music while you dine, I’d suggest you pick another evening for quiet dining.More

The food was excellent. Chef/Owner Raul Garcia is a master in the kitchen. We were celebrating our friends birthday and everyone had something different…Mahi Mahi with Puttanesco sauce, Chichen Picato, Spagettia Camberia and Chichen Parmesean. Everyone love their food. The Sambuco Shrimp appetizer was to…die for. The staff does not speak much English, but the Chef does and he will greet you and come to you table to help order. Don’t let this keep you away. If you have to struggle a bit, it will make it more worth it. Located above Starbucks, take the elevator where you will have a beautiful view of the Malecon and the church.More
