Easy to miss, but worth the effort to find & visit. One feels like a member of the family. Well prepared dishes. I enjoyed fish fajitas particularly as they were not like the “standard” sizzling platters. Just a good flavor w/out the overpowering onion &…peppers that are too common. Have tried many places in Puerto Vallarta and this place is the best!!!The food is amazing everything is delicious and made fresh that moment you order. The owner is friendly and all the staff makes you feel at home. I’m sad I found it the…day before leaving but made sure I went both days before leaving. If you’re a seafood lover the ceviche is a must !!! They give big portions and I wish I had a bigger stomach to be able to eat everything on the menu. I will definitely be back!More
I arrived in Puerto Vallarta a few days ago and stumbled across this restaurant. I ordered Coconut Pistachio Shrimp. The portions are large, the food is fresh, the prices are great, and the conversation is wonderful. They are great people that always have a smile…on their face, even when cooking in humid 90°+ weather. The food was so delicious that I came back on my last day to have it one more time! The staff, from the server to the cooks and food prep’s, are very friendly and make you feel at home; like family. I will definitely be making a stop here every time I come back to Puerto Vallarta! Side note: Make sure you eat their homemade chips with their salsa and pico de gallo. ????More
There are so many wonderful, family-run, authentic Mexican restaurants in PV, and this one is as wonderful as any in the city. For such an obviously small, intimate establishment, their menu is MASSIVE, so no one’s tastes will be left out; meat, vegetarian, seafood, soups,…salads, appetizers, etc… Personally, since I live a few blocks away, I’ve visited UNA FAMILIA many times, but all visiting family and friends are rewarded with least one visit while in PV, and everyone has always walked away WELL-FED and super impressed. Food is terrific. Service is excellent and really friendly and the prices are terrific. You won’t be disappointed.More

Walking around the Malecón and looked into a lunch restaurant. This was wonderful! My son and daughter in law said the best burrito they have ever had.
Jst trust the menu del dia. It will be delicious and a great value. Soup, drink and entree included.
The food here was really good and the service was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend the seafood soup or any type of shrimp.

Love this restaurant, they have a lot of options and all of them are good. It’s so good I went back after the first visit to try some other stuff on the menu. The coffee is also nice and comes in a really cool mug….The restaurant is right near Malecón and is perfect for getting away from the really busy tourist locations.More

This little restaurant is a block off of the Malecon. It’s a small, family-owned restaurant that serves great authentic food. The food is good enough that they have a very busy delivery service for business people in the area. Many of the vendors on the…streets and in the stores all around phone in their orders and get their hot fresh food. We loved going there for breakfast.More
We had breakfast at Una Familia and absolutely loved it!! The food was authentic and amazing!! The restaurant is so quaint and the service was awesome. Our waitress spoke very fluent English a d was very helpful. If you want delicious, authentic food for a…great price, this restaurant is definitely worth visiting!!More
Pleasantly overwhelmed by the ceviche at Una Familia. Fresh and plentiful shrimp and fish, mingling with with half-dozen other morsel-sized fruits and vegetables makes this ceviche an extraordinary meal. Surrounded by slices of freshly-cut avocado and pineapple, I could only tackle half of the portion,…happily carting off the rest for a later-day treat. Warm greetings and friendly smiles turned Una Familia into part of Mi Familia. When I told them I would be returning to PV for a monthlong stay close by, they said, “Just call. We deliver!” Can’t wait to return.More

Heard good things about this place and they were all true. Great food and service. The blueberry margarita was Devine. Very reasonable too.
