First time at this restaurant. Was expecting much more given reviews I read. Ordered breakfast. Asked for a little cheese on the omelette which was repeated in English and got none. Juice was warm and came after we had almost finished our meal. The food…was just…okay. And the clincher was the price. Way to expensive for the meagre portion, the mediocre service and overall experience. Save the trip. Lots of other places to go.More
We had a wonderful breakfast and also a great seat to watch iguanas in the trees near our table. The service was great as well.
Been there several times and have not been disappointed. Food and service very good. Salads were large and tasty.Always a free show watching the local iguanas and tropical birds.
What a find, near the airport, great food, great view…we will go back next visit. They had Gf options, and it was good. Beautiful and fun view, watching the geckos, birds, etc.
We went here for breakfast (it’s only open until 3pm) recently. The food was prepared perfectly, and very tasty too. Much better than any place we’ve been in the Marina area. They did dinners in the past when we were here which were just as…good. Not sure why they stopped, perhaps not in a mainstream location. If you go for breakfast, there is a special wildlife treat while you dine in the back patio (see photos). Highly recommend!More
We have breakfast here every year during our visit to PV. The food is always delicious. Today we had fried eggs and bacon and poached eggs grilled tomatoes, spinach and lovely toast with panela cheese and pesto. All was delicious. The coffee is excellent also Service…can be slow go to enjoy the wild life on the golf course on a day you are not in a hurryMore
Great place to have breakfast or lunch, they keep good and consistent fresh quality food, their Menu and prices are competitive and the best terrace where you can see birds, reptiles a fantastic view from golf course, I have a wildbreakfast in a quiet and…relax atmosphere when you visit Marina Vallarta go to Amadeos BistroMore
Fair prices and a variety of options for breakfast and lunch. I recommend sitting outside in the terrace as it is more casual and nice.
We stayed in the Marina area for 1/2 of our 3-week vacation. Toward the end of the trip, we decided to try Amadeo’s Bistro for Restaurant Week, due to all the positive reviews. We were there almost two hours (the service was painfully slow between…courses). We were the only people in the restaurant in those two hours. They sat us on the back patio, which was the best element of our visit, due to the wildlife and the freezing A/C inside. There is a bar out there and some interesting art, but bar appeared abandoned, with no customers. For two hours, as it got dark, we were entertained by what appeared to be a colony of Little Blue Herons (flying-in and out — counted 6 nearby, at a point) and several fairly large iguanas in the large tree next to the patio. The view looks out over a huge pond in the golf course, with Comfort Inn in the distance. Very nice setting. Super peaceful that night. We split a RW menu of 399 pesos (Jocoque for appetizer, Salmon for entree and Guava Tart for dessert). We ordered an extra appetizer to split also. We came mostly for the Apple Strudel on the menu, but they were out. Also had drinks. My one margarita (regular size) was the most expensive margarita in our whole trip. Average-size. 119 pesos. Nothing special about it. I added up what the items we ordered on the 399 peso RW meal would cost on the regular menu. 650 pesos. Salmon being 340 pesos, desserts all 135 pesos and appetizers all 140 pesos. Seemed overly expensive, but we waited to see if the food was worth that price. Turned out it wasn’t. They did plate our split dish on two separate plates, which is always appreciated. We are big salmon lovers and eat a lot of it at home, plus we’d had a fantastic salmon dish on RW last year — very large and moist. This one at Amadeo’s was small and quite dry. I took one bite and gave the rest to my husband. One appetizer (cheese with artichokes) was light on the artichokes and heavy on the cheese, which was like glue when it was served to us, after waiting so long. Our waiter was friendly, but we both kept wondering why everything was taking so long, being the only people there. The appetizers and dessert were unique (enjoyed the guava tart…more like a slice of pie, than a tart) but I can’t imagine ever coming back, with it being inordinately over-priced (“fine dining” prices in a little local bistro) on the regular menu though. The food was disappointing and service was the slowest in our memories. Loved the wildlife though. It’s one of reasons we stay in the Marina area periodically. If we return, it would be to have a drink on the patio and see how the wildlife is doing. We were mesmerized.More
Everything was great. Salmon was awesome. We had restaurant week specials it was amazing Great service. You all need to try this place its great
After three days in and around the marina in PV, we went to Amadeo’s for our last night. What a welcome relief from the crowds, bustle and noise of the marina! A beautiful setting overlooking a lake with pelicans and other water birds, quiet, soothing…music and attentive staff, not to mention excellent food! If we were here for longer, would definitely return.More
Very creative food. Very tasty as well. But as with so many places service is slow. The lasagna was good. They used molle sauce rather than Italian style. Salads were fresh and good. They offer a pesto dressing that is interesting.
Everything was perfect. The outside terrace bordered a pond and much greenery. The calm background music was perfect and did not interfere with conversation. The service was excellent. Everyone in our group enjoyed their dinner. The salmon was perfectly done and quite tasty as was…the risotto and mole lasagna. The restaurants in the marina area but across the street from the crowded and noisy area: a hidden gem! We will be back for breakfast!More
Amadeo Bistro was a pleasant surprise for breakfast. Ate outside in the quiet scenic golf course facing patio. Had a wonderful omelette along with a very tasty and rich cafe mocha. Great food and service in a peaceful setting away from the busy eateries in…the Marina. Will come back againMore
Lovely little cafe right between Starbucks & the Golf Course. Good food and service Quite the hidden gem.
