Buffet 350 pesos. The 3 star rating is concerning people who don’t eat a lot of meat – for those the value-for-money ratio is not justified.

Come on people. How can RCI identify this “resort” as Gold? It is dated and in despar are need of a major remodel. The tiles are old and dirty looking. We spent two weeks at the Mayan Palace in Marina Vallarta and ate several buffet breakfasts at Bakal. The quality of choices impressed us! An omelette bar with a Chef who, also, cooked to order, breads, cold cuts, cheese, Mexican dishes and soup, salads, pancakes,…French toast, oatmeal, juices, fruit and Mexican hot chocolate, my favorite! We were guests at Mayan Palace in Marina Vallarta and had three buffet breakfasts/brunches at Bakan. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and choices that were laid out – baked goods have oftentimes disappointed us in Mexico but not at Vidanta resorts – nice…array of breads, cold cuts, cheeses. An omelette bar as well as a Mexican station – with chefs willing to accommodate your choice(s). Hot dishes varied from Mexican dishes to Western staples plus juices, fruits, Mexican hot chocolate and oatmeal or a local soup. More importantly, the staff worked hard to make your visit thoroughly enjoyable – kudos to the staff at Bakal!More

We LOVE Bakal’s Breakfast Buffet! The food is amazing and staff is very pleasant. We truly enjoy the fresh fruit and juices, made to order omelets and eggs, and the wide array of pastries.
Breakfast buffet was good. Supper was very good but pricey the tortilla soup was amazing as was the shrimp dish
We enjoyed three breakfast buffets here on our week stay. There was a large variety of bread, muffins, fruits, cereals, an omelette station and many other food varieties. Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant with indoor A/C dining or outdoor dining as well.
Hard to get service. Unmanned stations on the buffet. Poor quality for the price. This applies to both the breakfast buffet and the Special Friday Night Mexican buffet
I have eaten brunch here a number of times this year. The food is always fresh and the waitstaff accommodating. We eat outside with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. This buffet has a wide variety of foods. Something for everyone in your party. I…suggest that you arrive for the 11:30 AM seating. It costs a little less and the breakfast crowd is at the beach. You do not have to be staying at the resort to use this restaurant and they will validate your parking ticket if you drive.More
