Laid back and a little grungy. Good service and cheap beer. Large upper level that is usually closed as there aren’t enough customers. Cheesy videos. Popular for locals and older men.
WARNING they are heavy pourers! Their margaritas are the best in PV and very reasonable. The staff is very attentive, Charley at the main bar was great to talk to and everyone who comes there loves him. the owner was a little clingy, but good…natured and takes care of the customers.More
If you want to get away from the American and Canadian tourists, visit Los Amigos and you will be able to talk with locals. There is likely to be some tourists also looking for locals but the bar tender (Charlie) always gives the best advice….His partner, Arturo, is nice but a but lost in his ego. This is a place not to be missed – unless you are homophobic.More
Up a lot of stairs but a nice little bar with friendly bartenders and staff and clientele. The back part is open air and often has a nice breeze. The country music is a pleasant change of pace as well.
This is real Mexican culture. Although there are plenty of “gringos” who will be at the bar, it is the place to meet and talk with locals. Its up a major flight of stairs but cheap beer, very friendly bar tender (Charlie) and always folks…to have conversation with. Easy walking distance in the Romantic Zone to no worries about having a few extra Mexican beers.More
Arrived later in the evening and the bar was hopping! Very crowded, great music with everyone dancing wherever you could find space. Lots of fun and met lots of nice people.
Been coming here for years. Best place to meet people. Very friendly staff. Charlie the bartender is legendary for his great charm and service. Prices are very reasonable, Lots of fun!
Don’t worry if you don’t have a cowboy hat because you can get one to wear during your visit right in the bar. This is a super cool relaxed and friendly bar on several levels right in the heart of the Zona Romantica. The service…was friendly, the drinks are cheap and the clientele is welcoming. It’s a nice mixture of Mexicans and visitors. They play some country music and they have a couple of cool outdoor spaces where you can see nearby buildings in town. I would DEF I come back here really fun.More
This place is a cowboy bar and the bartenders all look the part as do some of the clientele. Great friendly staff and heavy pots on the drinks but place has so much potential. Still a good time though.

This has been a great bar for years, Charlie and Arturo make you feel rite at home. Mainly “gay” oriented but anybody is welcome. Charlie makes the best Margaritas in PVR….either blended or on the rocks. Good music and fun times
I was visiting PV during Beef Dip week. I met Nick while with a friend at Reinas. Nick was to be a host for the Black Out party at Los Amigos. He suggested I might like the event. In fact, I had a great time!…I met Arturo who worked there. As with all the employees, he was very friendly and seemed very pleased with my minimalist cowboy attire. I went back a couple of nights later with 3 friends. We stayed for hours.More

I had a very unpleasant experience at Los Amigos bar this evening, and wanted to share with the Beef Dip group visiting PV this week. We were on the rooftop and the guy I was with went up to buy us drinks–so I was sitting…alone against the wall. Someone who appeared to work there came over, made some small talk, and then grabbed my beard with both hands; I got the sense he was trying to kiss me. As this advance was unwelcome, I reacted negatively and assertively. He started shouting at me, telling me I should be nicer to him. He, as it turns out, was either the manager or the owner. By this point, my companion returned to the table, commenting how aggressive all that looked. The owner/manager was clearly still steamed that he was spurned–and returned to my table to tell me once my drink was finished that I was to leave. He glared at us and paced–once we were done, we left, and he followed us out, yelling at me as I left. By most standards, his actions were assault–and certainly an aggressive advance. I was very uncomfortable and felt violated. While cultural norms vary, any bar patron should expect to enjoy a drink without getting manhandled by the staff, particularly a manager or owner. I may be just a 5′ 8″ 170 pound 53 year old, but I will stand my ground when I am touched or grabbed by someone in whom I have no interest. I would urge visitors this week to use caution in visiting this bar, and more to the point, suggest you choose other establishments in PV. If there are other follow up measures I can take, I plan to do so. No one should have to deal with unwelcome physical advances in a gay bar, least of all from the staff.More
The owners are friendly and have been at the location for many years. There is a pool table and lots of room to sit at the bar.
