We visited Tau Beach Club which was included as part of our stay at Casa Velas. The drinks were amazing. The food was great and service was outstanding. Tau Beach Club staff (Benny, Antonio, Enrique, Erick and David) went above and beyond to ensure that…we had a great time. For my partners birthday they decorated the table, sang Happy Birthday and brought out a delicious cake. I wish the pool was bigger but other than that it was really awesome experience!More
Now the amazing Tau Beach Club. Tau beach club has a restaurant and pool side or beach food and drink service. Cabanas are set up on beach sand and there are cabanas and loungers by the infinity pool, small in comparison to pool at Casa…Velas but also quite cozy and special feeling. There are also tables set up on first and second floor for dining. Towels, bathrooms, changing areas and showers are available for use. The music is played softly so it remains a place of peace and tranquility but on the ocean in the Bay of Banderas. Service was fantastic and I found the “infamous” Benny the bartender , waiter, extraordinaire there. We enjoyed a great day there splashing in the ocean, ankle height. Swimming in the pool and admiring the surf and sand, beautiful. Lounging and yes eating and drinking more. The menu is Asian inspired but has your usual burgers and such. I had Fish tacos with grilled pineapple, coriander and onion, along with sharing Spring rolls and my friend had a Vegan Burger on a Blue flour bun. It looked fabulous and different, I love different. It was a great fun filled day of beach fun.More

We walked over from Casa Velas to enjoy lunch here one day during our stay. So relaxing and enjoyable to dine with excellent service and food right over the beach. Ramon & David were our waiters and welcomed us with great service. Of course, we…started off with something to wet our whistle and salsa and chips. I enjoyed the Kao Pad Sapport with julienned veggies with rice, cashews, raisins, pineapple, curry, and shrimp. Delicious! Aside from that, I had the Spring Rolls filled with crab which were also excellent. My husband had the Baby calamari with pickle chipotle tartar, it was yummy. Served in an iron frying basket, nice presentation. He also had the Hamburger with caramelized onions, tender bacon and fries. We stayed quite a few hours just enjoying watching the ocean and waves. We even each had a sorbet, one maracuya ( passion fruit ) and the other mango. There is a pool there, bathroom facilities, loungers by the pool and on the beach along with cabanas, towels, everything you could ask for in a 5-star private beach club. It is also like the boutique resort Casa Velas, adults only. Once again, some great food, a half-day spent soaking up the ocean air with great food and service. My idea of the perfect Beach Day!More

You will need a reservation because this friendly little place has limited seating and a small but wonderful staff. You can sit in the warm evening enjoying the breeze off the bay, listening to the waves crashing offshore. Really good menu, sensible portions, good wine…list.More

This exclusive beach club is part of Casa Velas and is only offered to the hotel guests of adult only property. You have the hotel shuttle of 2 minutes that takes you there. You have your own private pool, jacuzzi and Asian restaurant for breakfast…and lunch. We had a delicious lunch here while staying at Casa Velas. Aaron and Ramon were our waiters and the service was excellent. We started with American Shrimp Cocktail that was delicious with a tasty red sauce and 8-10 shrimp. Then my husband had baby calamari…that came with a sauce and it was so tender, I was amazed as I am not usually fond of calamari but this was excellent. My husband then had the Sirloin Pepito sandwich which was a steak sandwich with tomato, lettuce, and fries. He enjoyed it. I myself had the Kao Pad Sapparot which is julienne veggies, with rice, cashews, curry, raisins, pineapple and shrimp all served over a round of pineapple. We had sorbet afterwards and just enjoyed watching the waves crash. It was a great lunch with great service.More

This Ocean/Beach Club restaurant is a favourite of ours when we stay at Casa Velas. The pool area is transformed into a magical ocean/beach dining experience complete with nightly sunsets – no two alike. Daniel and his team enhance the experience with their friendly and…attentive service. The nightly local entertainment also adds to this memorable dining experience. One night we were impressed with Daniel’s talent as he made us a special after dinner coffee. We came here twice for dinner during our one week stay.
