This place is so darn good. This is such a wonderful restaurant. It shares a space with Poncho Villa Restaurant. Slow roasted chicken, burgers, steaks and beer. And, yummy cheesecake!
Delicious is an understatement! The chicken is mouth watering and definitely order the rice too. Great quality and low priced we will be back for sure.
We ate at Pancho Villa Burger the day before and stopped back by to thank the waiter who had given us perfect directions. We had planned to have lunch elsewhere, however they were pulling the chicken out of the oven as we arrived, we couldn’t…resist. Glad we didn’t as it was almost as good as my GrandmasMore

Truly a taste testers delight, the moist fall off the bone chicken melts in your mouth, the peruvian style rice is the perfect complement.

We eat there 1 time, we wished it wouldn’t of been on our last day. The chicken was so good we got one to go, which we had for dinner in our room at the all inclusive hotel we were staying at.
What a great little place. Stopped here for a bite and a margarita. Great little place on the beach. Awesome food and great margaritas. One of the workers waves his arms and a bunch of pelicans fly in for the left over fresh fish. Must…stop by here!More

Really nice place with great service and food! Some of our group had the oven roasted chicken and others had a burger. They have a wide selection of burgers made of Black Angus Beef with all the trimmings. Everyone was very happy with their food….Very nice bar and well stocked. Also an assortment of cold beer. It is a clean, very well decorated place with the friendliest of staff. You cannot miss by stopping here for food and refreshment.More

We watched the manager cook our half Peruvian chickens in the wood fire oven. It came with fries, a salad and lemon its. We could not believe the full plate of food for the price. Best value so far. We had trouble finding it…a quaint…place across from Costco. Best kept secret ever. No wait, Fast service. Excellent 10+++.More

Fantastic Delicious Peruvian Chicken. I think they said it was marinated in dark beer for 14hour…Jucy with great flavors. A very enjoyable casual place for lunch or dinner.

Went to Cabana Azul which is located within Pancho Villa Resteraunt. Well, the chicken I had was to die for, succulent, moist and above all the flavor was one I’d never experienced. I found out the chicken had been marinated for 14 hours in beer…and peruvian spices, we accompanied it with the vegetarian rice dish, total success. Would totally recommend this resteraunt.More

Sadly, not what it used to be. The place moved to, and was taken over by the Pancho Villa Burgers down the street. We don’t know the politics of this transition, but the chicken is just not the same. The guys at Pancho Villa will…try to tell you otherwise, and that’s a shame because Pancho Villa is a pretty good place on it’s own. However, it would be all the better if we could get the real, honest, and delicious Peruvian chicken that was once was Cabana Azul. Come on guys, whether it be Alex (Cabana Azul’s former owner) or ghcosmo (owner of Pancho Villa) someone isn’t doing the right thing to keep the flavor and quality of this unique and dish what it should be.More

I hadn’t been to Cabana Azul in several months so decided to go last weekend. There was a sign on the location saying they had moved West to Pancho Villa Burgers. We ordered the usual package. The chicken tasted like regular grilled chicken. It did…not tast like it had been marinated. The rice was not the same as the old recipe. The green sauce was very spicy. I don’t know if the new owners actually bought the recipes or are just trying to copy the food. It is not the same and I would not recommend going.More

We had a taste for roasted chicken & Cabana Azul was a great choice to enjoy a special wood roasted, marinated natural chicken in PV. Cabana Azul is a special little gem, right off of the main bus route within walking distance from the bus…from the Hotel Zone. The couple that owns the place is a special team to make dining in PV a treat to enjoy! Juicy, crispy Peruvian rotisserie chicken with 3 great sauces, the best French fries, salad, bread & a creamy flan for dessert. The owners were especially helpful in giving telephone directions to their location & they also deliver. Try this special taste, you will not be disappointed!More

We have eaten here a number of times now, and our chicken has been consistently great, much better than many other places in town. Small place without much atmosphere. They do deliver. The french fries are the best in town, but eat them while they…are hot! Like all good fries they don’t travel well.More
