We stayed at Los Tules for 6 weeks. We ate many meals here and were never disappointed with the service, quality or price! The service and staff were the best. Shout out to Anau, Fernando, Andrew ( the owner), Santos, Juan and many others. They were…friendly and helpful in every way. The 2 for 1 margaritas were a killer, as one was my limit, even though my husband said I was a light weight! The view of the bay was beautiful too. Be sure to enjoy this little restaurant in Los Tules!More
Have written a good review in the past, but unfortunately this time had to pick up and leave. They’ve revised the menu and doubled prices. What a joke. The food was always good and ambiance great, but prices are absolutely ridiculous now. Just plain stupid.
This was the first time and will be the last time that we ever go to this restaurant. The food was mediocre and service terrible. However, the view and the ambience were great. We went to dinner at approximately 8:15 PM. We noticed that they…were serving banana flambé at a couple of tables so we decided to order one after dinner. We called the Waiter over to order and he said oh it’s too late the kitchen closes at 10pm. It was 9:50pm. I advised them that it was customary in most find restaurants that when they were closing that the waiter come and ask if there was anything else that was be required because the kitchen was closed. This was not the case here. We found this very rude and very unprofessional We will never return. Between the food and service they were more negatives than positiveMore
We ate here 3 times during our stay at Los Tules. The service was slow and not very professional and the food was just mediocre at best. Nothing was bad but as a chef I can do a much better job myself. The 2 for…1 margaritas everyday was nice, and the views were very nice as well. Since this was the only place to eat at the resort we really did not have much choice unless we went to town. The one factor that really upset us though was I was celebrating my 60th birthday and we asked them if they could supply us with 7 portions of chili rellenos for us as I was cooking the rest of the meal myself in our unit. We did not want the full dinner, just the one item to be taken with us. No problem they said..come down when you need them as we will look after you. How much I asked – the response was that they would look after us and not to worry. Well when we came down to get them they decided that it was not worth their time to serve us unless we paid for the full dinner. REALLY… I wanted to punch them right in the mouth. TERRIBLE customer service, and the manager should have been fired for it. I have been in this line of work for 40 years and this is something you DO NOT DO in this businessMore
OK, we stay at Los Tules where this great little restaurant is located. But even if we did not, we would go there for the food, the cocktails and the sunset view. There are daily specials that Andrew, the Owner, sets up to be more…special than the other offerings. The menu is extensive, so everyone can find favorites to order. Caesar Salad made up on a cart right next to your table is a special treat. Cash or Credit Card.More
We’ve eaten here over 10 times now. Food is always exceptional, staff is super friendly, and the views and location are to die for. Plus everything is reasonably priced. Pretty much anything on the menu, for 2 with tip, is going to be somewhere between…$28-34 dollars all in. We’ve certainly eaten at restaurants around the area and in Old Town but it’s mainly been for curiosity of what’s here in PV. If I lived here in Los Tules, I’d likely never cook but instead, just walk down the path and eat at this restaurant. It’s that good.More
Great poolside restaurant. Pros: food, portions, 2 for 1 margaritas, spectacular view, friendly staff. Cons: could get screaming kids in the pool that ruin everything. Tips: 1. Order the daily special. Had pork ribs that were spectacular. 2. Consider ordering one plate and sharing. Portions…are large and food may get cold if ya don’t scarf it down. 3. Eat before 7. Once the sun goes down, it can get busy and choice of tables get limited. Conclusion: May be considered pricey for Mexico, but we’ll worth it for the experience … as long as the screaming kids are napping.More
I had a lunch here, The food was good. I was just there for lunch so a soda to drink. Service was very friendly and good. The setting is nice overlooking the pool. I would return.
During my stays at the Los Tules Resort, I often frequent this onsite Cafe several times for Happy Hour (4pm to 5pm) and their excellent appetizer/meal of customizable guacamole prepared at your table, amazing drinks, including all-day 2-for-1 margaritas. Each evening features a special supper…selection or other fare from the large menu, plus there’s live local music at supper every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. The Cafe is situated next to one of 7 onsite pools, and also overlooks the ocean and Puerto Vallarta across the bay…nice views all day or PV’s nightlights in the evenings. I especially enjoy sitting at a table served by Fernando who provides excellent service with a smile, some banter and/or a joke for a pleasurable and relaxing experience! Take care and enjoy!More
Ate here for several meals – the chile relleno was a hit with everyone in our party! The staff was friendly & fun! Our go-to spot when we wanted a quick authentic meal at reasonable prices!!
We have eaten here numerous times and the food is always excellent. I have enjoyed everthing from chili rellenos to coconut shrimp and each meal was great! One of the best things here is that margaritas are always 2 for 1 and they are killer…drinks. They must free pour the tequila as you get a good buzz from each drink. The wait staff is excellent and always try to please.More
Wonderful selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The open air restaurant is very accommodating to dietary needs as well as personal requests. The waite staff is friendly and never rushing. It may take you a while to get your bill at the end of the…meal, but with the ocean as your scenery you seldom mind the wait.More
We have been staying at the Los Tules Resort for over 20 years. The food quality has never been better. We always enjoy the standards, but this year they added a tower of shrimp salad that is wonderful. The dishes run the range from American…standards to Mexican traditional. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can always get something to eat or drink. The dinner includes a special dish each night, often cooked on a grill. The filet of beef and pork ribs are good for meat lovers and coconut shrimp, mahi mahi and red snapper are offered for seafood and fish lovers. The staff is very friendly and helpful.More
This is on the grounds of the Los Tules vacation condo property, so a great “find” given one of our family units on a joint vacation had a delayed flight. Great tasting food, impeccable service, energetic staff. We placed a take-out order for the late…arrivals, and the staff made sure to prepare it in timely fashion so it was hot and fresh. Everything was great!More
Staff is incredible. Heidi manages with spirit. Makes all feel welcome. Juan, Patty, Moses, Gabrielle, Fernando and Xavier go above and beyond
