Great place for a beer and burger. Prices are very reasonable and our server was hilarious. Will be going back for seconds!
Iffy fish-n-chips resulted in bowel incident. But hey, that can happen anywhere. I’d suggest staying with the fine burgers, nachos, wings.oh, not wanting to be too churlish but it can be challenging actually getting a drink or eats in a relatively empty 6pm session.
The worst food I’ve had in PV – fish and chips. OK chips but the breaded fish was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Not great service either
Came to Puerto Vallarta Zona Romántica with the family and had some of the best wings ever @ Captain Dons! Great environment and service. We have had wings all over the world, and this were some of the best! Will definitely be back.
Went on a quiet night. Certain days it’s really packed and loud with music…not our scene. After a week of Mexican food wanted something different . We ordered the twenty piece wing and an order of onion rings. Good, not great but it hit the…spot. Priced at around 200 pesos for the wings and 100 for rings…so a grand total of 300 pesos. House wine 35 pesos…OK. Daily specials on food and drinks listed on website and sandwich board out front.More
The wings are super delicious. Service is very good – they remember our “usual” order. Mango margaritas and strawberry daiquiris are delicious.
Compadre is not Tequila this stuff is illegal to be imported into other countries and illegal to be called Tequila in Mexico, this type of alcohol is the cheapest known to man (this man) the Borrachos love this stuff but they drink it straight not…meant to be mixed. And to top it off they told me the drink I ordered was the special but it was over and they gave it to me in cup with a small base on a rubber mat that tipped over the first time I set it down, the next one they gave it to me without the mat therefore they must have known that was the problem but charged me for it anyway. ended up paying $10 for a watered down drink, tasty but wont get you drunk.More
Less than 20 yds from my property. Cheap beer music, and good food at a reasonable cost. Live music through out the week! ENJOY!
I love PV and Mexican food. I visit for a month every winter and this year I travelled solo. I really ate so much local food but I had a craving for my favourite pub foods, wings. An online group recommended Captain Dons so I…went looking for it. The atmosphere was welcoming but quiet as are many things this year. The staff were friendly and welcoming and didn’t seem surprised that I was there for the wings. I wasn’t disappointed. Big meaty wings generously sauced served with a cold pint won me over. I love the wings at captain don’s.More
Great place to drink and watch football. He’s gave Thanksgiving dinner here every year. Always excellent!
Loved this place after we have been here a couple of weeks and wanted some food more from home. Yes, it actuaclly does happen. Anyway, this far exceeded my expectations. Fries were best as were wings and the chicken ceaser salad would be hard to…beat from back home.More
Stopped in with family for a cocktail, nice atmosphere, the place was packed, but even the no smoking section was smoky

Live music a lot, good food, good prices, great staff! Had a ball with the great patrons. This is a happening place, highly recommend it!
