This place was amazing. We stumbled upon it after our initial choice was too full. Casa Mara gave us free tastings compliments of the chef. Amazing service. Guacamole made at our table. Incredible margaritas. Delicious and nicely presented main dishes. Fireworks while we dined! And…the ambiance on the rooftop deck was amazing. A must for a first time visitor to puerto Vallarta.More
This business was in another location for years but the new location around 2 months. We were walking past it when we looked up at the flowers and people enjoying dinner. Up stairs (one flight) to a nice patio location with views of the ocean….Wonderful food, exceptional service, and even some perfectly appropriate music from a very talented fellow. Fernando and Nacho insured that we were treated like royalty!More
This place is amazing! Located right in the middle of downtown. The service is excellent & the food is phenomenal! They make the guacamole right at your table & it’s so good you’ll want more. The fish is very fresh & you must start with…the seafood cheese! Definitely worth making a stop when you’re in PV. Say hello to Fernando!More
Met at door. Escorted to table. Very hands on service. Food was excellent. The music was Pan flutes. Very well done. Totally enjoyed evening. Will go again. Nice to be appreciated.
Thank you Juan Carlos and Nino at Casa Mar 1928 for making our dinner such a fun and memorable experience. The food is authentic Mexican seafood cuisine and the atmosphere is cozy with live music on a Saturday night. Casa Mar and Casa Tradicional, their…other restaurant, are both amazing! These two are a must visit when dining in Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommend and will revisit.More
We stopped here after walking around the Melacon all afternoon. The building is so cool and we loved reading about the history. The staff was so inviting. We loved Nacho, Fernando, Chuy and Estella. They took great care of my family. The rooftop atmosphere was…relaxing and perfect for dinner. The food was fabulous and Estella did a great job with the guacamole prepared at tableside. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. Make sure at least someone in your party gets the fajitas. The evening was a little on the chilly side and they even brought me and my 2 daughters shawls to keep us warm. Entertainment was nice and kept with the chill vibe. Highly recommend for a dinner tripMore
I ate here with a friend last night, and it was truly an amazing experience. We were greeted with complimentary tequila and received 5 star treatment all night! This is the best food I’ve had in Vallarta so far. It was authentic and elegant. I…had the seafood enchiladas and they were fantastic. The outdoor terrace is gorgeous and I can’t say enough good things about the service here. We were also treated to some lovely live music while we dined. I would 100% recommended this place if you’re looking for a beautiful atmosphere, amazing food, and incredible service. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.More
Wonderful new seafood restaurant 1 block off the Melacon. Roof top atmosphere. Live musician. Really good fish, I had the salmon in a mole sauce and it was delicious. Our friends had another type of fish and shrimp and they raced about it as well.
Our new and very favorite place in PV. The food is awesome, music is perfect, views are phenomenal and the owners are the best hosts. Plus ABBA music ?! Magical.
the manager NINO WAS SO WELCOMING. mADE US FEEL AT HOME. Our servers, nacho, alfredo and stella were attentive and timely. The muscian played a traditional Mexican flute, it was beautifull Tableside quacamole was delicious and the Marguerita was to die for, We had a whole…Red Snapper fried in garlic and butter . Yummy. The experience was so enjoyable and a surprise since this was our first time. Ask for NINO and tell him Alex (OK-DOKE) sent you The view of the Bay is spectacularMore
Beautiful second floor outdoor patio restaurant. Great food, live music, great service. Did I mention great food! Wonderful ceviche, lobster bisque, and octopus! Recently opened and eager to please.
We went to the restaurant last night and had a great evening. The food is fresh and the service unbelievable. Thanks to Fernando, Nacho, Chuy, Pedro, and Estela for making our evening special. We have been watching this restaurant go though renovation and were excited…when the building was finished, excellent remodel! We both had a starter, one crab pearls and one oyster – both excellent. For our main courses we had shrimp with pineapple and tuna merlot – both were prepared with the attention great food deserves. One of us was having a birthday and the staff put on a very special rendition of happy birthday – complete with a small birthday cake – more than enough for the two of us. Oh, and a special magic trick – still cannot figure it out. The music – well you have to experience the truly Mexican inspired music performed during our night out. The music was not intrusive, just added that special ambience that one expects in a fine restaurant. The price – very inexpensive for the quality of the food and service. We really appreciate the attention to detail.More
We stopped by for a late lunch and, although there was no specific lunch menu, our server more than accommodated our wish to split the delicious Enchiladas delMar with Tomatillo Sauce. A complimentary lobster Bisque stated a great meal.
I don’t write many reviews about where I stay or eat. However, I was thankful for a simple Google review which brought me to this location. First, you can’t go wrong with being greeted by a shot of tequila when you walk through the door….I was then brought up to the rooftop dining area and presented with amazing architecture and local artisan designs. I was already impressed and hadn’t even seen the menu. The menu has a varied of choices for the appetite. They seem to specialize in octopus and shrimp. Not in the mood for any of those (I bet they are fantastic) I opted for the fresh tuna sashimi and salmon mit mole. Nacho recommended a margarita which was top notch, just the way I like it, not too sweet, not too sour – much as gracias Pedro! Then came desert. You must must order the Mexican coffee for after dinner. Fernando has a whole presentation that is not to be missed. Both Fernando and Nacho with their staff Estella, Chuy, and Nino provide Michelin star worthy service. There is so much more to share, however, I don’t want to spoil the discovery for you. They promote their view of the ocean, however, their true selling point is their amazing customer service and the charm of Casa mar 1928.More
Wow!!! What an experience. To start the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. We has the entree and the main course and it was super delicious. The tropical ceviche was my favorite and for main dish the camarones a la coco…were exquisite. I highly recommend you come eat here. I for sure will be back.More
