Came for beers on the beach, we ordered food. My shrimp tasted good but soon they hit me. Started “prairie dogging “ , didn’t make it home. Don’t!
We decided to eat here since it was right on the beach where we were walking. We got a lovely seat looking out at the beach and the ocean. It was open air with lot’s of shade. We ordered limonada’s and they were good. We…ordered our food and it took quite a long time to get it. It was well worth it when it did come. I ordered the popcorn shrimp on half a pineapple. It came with rice, vegy’s, dipping sauce. My husband ordered chilaquiles with chicken. He said they were good but could use more sauce. A bit in the higher price range. We will go back again but this time we will both have the popcorn shrimp.More
We had ceviche, tortilla soup and the coconut prawns over the pineapple. It was good, but I think my superb ceviche dinner at Lamara the night before prompted me to give an average rating on this dine out. Our waiter was different-maybe a bad day?…We did notice there was a 15% charge to use credit card so used cash. There was a real good live band playing the night we were there. We went on the recommendation of a fellow traveler that raved about the coconut prawns and although they were good, I think we will try a different place the next few nights we are in pv.More
Juan,….you are wonderful. Thank you. We have visited this establishment many times over the years. It is sj ways the first place we come after we unpack,…to unwind and decompress while enjoying the food, the view and the drinks 🙂 Today was the first time…since December 2019 and we were so lucky to have the sweetest gentleman Juan as our server. Juan,…you made such a nice impression. You are friendly, kind, professional and such a great server. Thank you. We will see you soon!!More
The service was incredible. The food – amazing! I was unsure at first because this is right on the river inlet, and has a sandy dirt floor. But it turned out to be perfect! Outside covered dining, gorgeous ocean view, casual atmosphere, impeccable service and…then BAM the food is incredible! We had guacamole, shrimp Aguachiles, octopus, coconut shrimp, fajitas and nachos – everything was beautifully plated and very fresh and flavorful! Will definitely recommend and be back!More
Pineapple Aguachiles is an amazing dish! Beachfront with gorgeous sunset views. Very good food. Coconut shrimp is delicious!!
My husband and I arrived to Grand Venetians late and as the El Oasis del Holi was right next to it, we decided to go there for dinner. We had an amazing view of the sunset, the food was delicious but as the place was…very busy, it took long to come. My husband had garlic shrimp in pineapple and a beer and I had coconut shrimp in pineapple and a margarita. The fifty US$ seemed a little steep to pay for it. There was a local band but it was very loud and not that amazing. We stayed at Grand Venetian for a whole month but did not go back.More
Whether a simple taco or a Mocajetti with cheese, beef, cactus chicken or one of their great shrimp dishes you won’t be disappointed. The coconut shrimp served on a cooked pineapple is the best I have had.
Love this restaurant . It is beside the Hilton on the beach . Great service and excellent selection. The coconut shrimp was to die for …we actually went back twice !
The view is beautiful for sunset watching but the rest yikes!! Creepy people in the parking lot kinda washing cars or something..they appear to live there in a structure on the outside…lots of rags and shopping carts full of stuff before you even enter. Old…used serving dishes for food presentation. Bathrooms..DO NOT GO THERE!! This is a dirty little beach bar, which may appear cool but for food and hygiene purposes I definitely will not return..doesn’t matter how great the food may be (didn’t want to order food after seeing the mess and unclean situation) ..just had a beer and left..yikes that is one scarey place regardless of the beautiful view, how the City of PV allows that place to stay open with no plumbing and fresh water is a very sad thing..beautiful location on the PUBLIC beach, could be soo nice..DO NOT USE THE BATHROOMS!! and the behind the scenes stuff in a restaurant tells it all..More
Our food was okay (fonduto arrachera and tacos arrachera), not great. Margaritas were served in chipped glasses. Tortilla chips must have been the end of the batch because they were in very small pieces; salsas were served in chipped bowls that I think had been…around all afternoon. The sand floor was littered with bottle caps, straws, paper. Dirty dishes were piled on trays around the restaurant and never hauled away. We had to clear our own table once we sat down. Service was poor. They were NOT busy. To top it all off, they tried to overcharge us. So if you want mediocre food and poor service in a dirty restaurant, this is the place!More
Very good food and friendly staff. The food is very good! The great thing about this restaurant is the proximity to the breach and constant ocean breeze. They also have live music in the evenings with well set up stages and lighting.
Great little hidden gem. We always stop by for a few drinks and some tacos. Usually always on our first night in Vallarta, to celebrate our vacation. Beautiful beach view, rustic little place with great service
The view at sunset is incredible. The coconut shrimp is really good. Nothing else at our table was worth the money. The service was really slow and not super friendly.
Nov 2019 Oasis del Holi Puerto Vallarta Girls Dinner on the Beach. Very large restaurant much of it oceanside. Colorful atmosphere, sand floor, right on the beach. plastic tables and chairs with colorful tablecloths Nice view of the ocean and surrounding areas. Our waiter Raul…was attentive throughout the meal, very friendly. We each had a beer and Garlic shrimp with rice and veggies for 199 pesos. We had a lovely time chatting and just enjoying the area. Excited to see each other after a few months and not paying attention, which should not be required, we asked for the check. We never got one just a total figure of 600 pesos written down. We paid even tipped and walked back to the main road to get an Uber. Later on we realized we had been “ripped off”. No way were our beers 100 pesos each (even with the 15% surcharge for on the beach charge I have read about, that is also unjustly ridiculous). Despite the food being good and service fine, I will not be going back due to the lack of a bill and obvious “rip off”. If you go thoroughly check and make sure you get an itemized bill.More
