Amazing pork belly tacos! I’d even say they were the best pork tacos we’ve ever had. There are 3 kinds available (pork belly carnitas style, pork with salsa verde, and bean and cheese) all served on blue corn tortillas. Get one of each and then…pile on the toppings and salsas offered on the counter. Will for sure be back next time we are in the PV area.More
I found this place by looking on the map for good places to eat near Costco. I’m sure glad I found this place! I had all the types of tacos, including the beans/cheese variety and all are awesome! I like the one with the crunchy…skin pieces the most — probably the best taco I’ve ever had! There is also an assortment of salsas and pickled veggies. I will definitely be back before the end of my vacation! I cannot recommend this place enough, please check it out and support the awesome staff at El Puerco de oro!More
Hands down, the BEST tacos I’ve had, EVER. Great customer service, location, and the pork belly are to die for.
These tacos were the bomb. I don’t remember how I learned about El Puerco de Oro, but it was well worth getting a bit off the beaten path to savor the deliciousness. This is a tiny, but very clean restaurant with 4 tables. Staff didn’t…speak English and there’s no menu, but who needs a menu when it’s all delicious? The pork belly was cooked to perfection–bit of crunch and also soft and juicy. The carnitas was also juicy. Each taco comes with the meat, a garnish of cilantro and onions, served on a lovely blue tortilla. There are four salsas to choose from (picante y no-picante) and some pickled veggies to add. Start with a couple and as you finish, they’ll ask if you’d like more. Just keep eating more, you won’t regret it. Each taco costs about $1 US. You read that right. ONE ‘MURICAN DOLLAR! I don’t recall the beverage selection–we had sodas. I was focused on the TACOS. TIP WELL when you go here, and show your appreciation!More

The pork belly tacos are delicious! They only serve 3 items…pork belly tacos, blue corn tortilla with beans, panella cheese and pork belly, and pork belly in a green sauce. I only had the tacos. Soft, crisp and just enough fat to make them mouth-watering…yumminess. They offer various fixings but my favorite was the house special, Chile Morita. It had a heavy smoky, charred flavor with a very mild chili heat. The Owner, Anna? Was very welcoming and was more than willing to explain their offerings. I’m a fan and will be visiting every time I’m in Puerto Vallarta. They are in the up and coming foodie neighborhood of Versalles.More
