Worst service ever – we arrived early, there were plenty of empty tables but staff seems was not able to get their brains around about giving us a table for 6 as on site we where only 3 (3 to arrive in 5 min) -…giving us an speech about their “protocols” etc – at the end we left for another restaurantMore
Excellent food . The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to some service issues but overall it deserves very high marks for delicious food.
We tried Freddy’s for the first time. The restaurant was very nice, very American style, with AC which was very great especially in the hot and sticky weather. We had a bit of a wait which was fine. The food overall was very good however…all orders arrived cold and chilaquiles arrived soggy. The service staff was very slow but quality of food was good. I was also note that the eggs all orders were over cooked per how we asked for them. The eggs Benedict was very tasty but again the again eggs were over cooked. Although I would recommend service may be slow although friendly.More
The food here is very good. They have many options. Feels like a Denny’s back in the USA. Only complaint is that the person cleaning up was grabbing things to quickly. I know there was a line waiting to get in but no need to…take my coffee before I am done. Overall good.More
Forget “Mr Creams” & “the pancake house” this is easily the best breakfast in PV, great food, great location and great staff.
I phoned the restaurant for a reservation early in the morning and asked twice if it was okay to bring my well-behaved chihuahua. I was given a definitive YES, without any hesitation both times (the second time was to make sure), and I asked for…an outside table due to my dog being with us. When we arrived at the restaurant the young lady at reception shook her head and said NO. I demanded to speak with the manager, and a young fellow came by. I explained that we had called and were told twice that the dog was okay. He relented, and then a server escorted us to the furthest out of the way table on the patio rather than to the table that had the sign RESERVADO on it that was our reserved table in a far more open and airy space. Once again, I called for the manager. He then took us over to the table that he agreed had been reserved for us. But, this was not the end of the story. He stood hovering over me, and a slightly older man who worked for the restaurant came over as well, and the two men huddled in secret conversation. When the huddle ended, the young manager asked me (quite seriously), Do you have any identification for your dog? I was almost speechless. What is the point of such a question? Was I being accused of stealing my own 3-year-old dog and then taking the stolen dog to breakfast at a restaurant? I would not respond to such a remarkably weird and out of place question. My partner, my dog and I got up and left, and we shall never return to Fredy’s Tucan Fluvial. We drove close-by to Cafe Lukumbe, where all three of us are always greeted with a warm welcome and wonderful food.More
Interesting menu. Walking distance from resort. Yummy breakfast selections. Very busy. Happy not to have wait. Got a place at bar. Very nice staff.
After years of enjoying the original Fredy’s Tucan in the Romantic Zone, it is a real treat to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and actually be able to park at a Fredy’s. It’s a non-tourist haven for outstanding food and service….Fredy’s in Fluvial itself, alone, almost makes the drive into Puerto Vallarta from El Tuito worth it.More
!Thank you very much for your comment and for your visit.¡
Highly recommend Fredy’s Tucan restaurant! We have been regular patrons for many years at both locations. Fredy is the consumate host and manages well run restaurants which serve great food at reasonable prices. We recently had the pleasure of being served by another one of…his great employees … Uriel !! Thanks Uriel for the great service! As always, Fredy was present ensuring a smooth, efficient operation that provides friendly service combined with quality food. There is frequently a line at the door, which is a testament to quality of the restaurant. The wait is worth it. If you choose a different place, you will never know what you missed!!!! See you soon Fredy Mike & BrentMore
¡Muchas gracias por su comentario y por su visita!
Our third visit to Freud’s Tucán Fluvial and we’re loving it—first review. The food is fresh, well-made, and just delicious. Setting is modern Mexican and open-air, couldn’t be nicer. Our waiter today, Uriel, was terrific. He was attentive, warm, welcoming and really knew his stuff….Very nice guy who gave us 5 star service. When it’s time for us to get out of our own neighborhood for breakfast or lunch, we head here and will continue to do so. Loving the Fluvial location.More
¡Muchas gracias por su visita!
Service and quality here are uneven. The serving sizes changed considerably between visits. They promised us a table that they promptly gave away to someone else who arrived after us. Our waiter was distracted and sloppy. I was served easily the worst eggs benedict I…have ever had, the eggs being totally raw. Waiter upsold us on a double-shot margarita that was pathetically weak — an obvious ripoff. We liked the downtown restaurant and had high hopes for this one, really wanted to like it, but it failed.More
Sorry for your bad experience we are really sorry we hope that you can give us another chance
We frequent this restaurant for breakfast quite often. It is always a very busy place and always have to wait at least 15 minutes or so to be seated. The food is great and has very good portions. Will be back soon.
Enjoyed the new location without the drive and crowd at the Viejo location. Victor was attentive, food was fast and delicious and will go again. We had eggs benny with hame and salmon and pancakes. Coffee and smoothies were tasty and they have almond milk…for the non dairy users in our family.More
Ryan our server was great Food was fantastic Moka Cafe over priced and not good Another thing dont like Servers going Table to Table Pushing over priced Bread But over all we will go again Not for Moka Cafe
We just left this horrible managed restaurant to a better nearby restaurant called Los Alcatraces where they always make you feel at home and not just a number in a list. Having so many great options we decided to try this restaurant in which by…the way, they do not allow you to walk in if your table is not complete! What a service! Do not recommend to go if you are not a complete table otherwise they will block you out. Try Los Alcatraces, Mexico Latte, Makal, Lukumbe and the list goes and goes…More
