Like other folks, we found this place by accident. Taco stands were either closed or out of pastor. So glad we did. Tacos are some of the best we’ve had and you won’t beat the price. We laugh at people waiting in line at that…“other” Tako stand. Walk a couple of blocks and ENJOY!!!More

We found this place by coincidence, right across a row of street taco stands. The food is fantastic, super fresh, generous portions, good price and excellent service. Lots of room to sit down and relax while enjoying the great food. Run by a very friendly…couple. Do not miss this place!!!More

Located across from the line of food trucks, this restaurant offers excellent dishes that are similar, but to my taste better, and has comfortable seating. The Pastor is excellent, and the prices are cheap.

We found this place by accident. The people who own/run this restaurant are very very nice. The food: AMAZING. We’ve been three times already and will definitely go a few more before we have to leave. I recommend the Sarape and the Hawaiian. Great prices…for a huge dish of food and plenty of tortillas!More

We stumbled into this taco place after a long day of travel, and we were so happy we did! The food was excellent, super affordable and the service was excellent! I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a street taco experience and wanting…to sit down to eat their tacos. They provided multiple sauces at our table and even gave us the recipe for the cream avocado sauce which is absolutely delicious! They also have pickles veggies, which are very tasty and refreshing. It is an upgraded street taco experience. Talk about the best of both worlds!More

Güipi’s not on Yelp? Not to worry, Vince is here to save the day. We noticed this eatery as we headed to Reina’s Bar right next door. My spouse saw a little al pastor spit going and got all excited. ATMOSPHERE: A simple mom and…pop biz with open-air seating, spacious and clean. A huge menu board adorns the wall as you enter, with a small spit up front for passers by to see. MENU: Traditional Mexican fare of tacos, quesadillas, etc., and breakfast. FOOD: “Their Specialty” I asked my spouse what the exact name of the dish he got us was, and he said they called it “their specialty”, so there you go. It’s a flavorful stir fry if you will, of al pastor meat, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and melted cheese that you self-stuff with the two included tortillas (we requested flour as corn is the norm). Heavenly, for reals. Everything was cooked perfectly with bold, savory flavors. Highly recommended. OVERALL: Eateries not on the beach rock my world!More

I have eaten here a couple of times and was not disappointed. Food is great and made fresh. Brush up on your Spanish or just point at the menu choice.

We are getting back down on 12/8/2018 (tomorrow) and will be there for some Hawaiano. I have tried the Pastor, Hawaiano, and breakfast and have yet been disappointed. I would recommend it to all! The prices are awesome, they have a rest room for customers….Breakfast I like the Mollete and my wife the Machaca. The only issue is it says they open at 08:00, but that is not always true. We are early morning people and we have a hard time finding early morning restaurants.More

Unassuming “hole in the wall” that serves economical yet tasty Mexican food. I usually get the shrimp quesadilla, which is always satisfying. I noticed they do have tacos al pastor but I have never tried them. Good prices and quick service. I usually get take…away but they do have table service.More

This place is in Old town Puerto Vallarta off the main road north through town. It is located across from the Guadalajara Pharmacy. They have the gyro type tacos and also many other dishes from carne to shrimps. It is a friendly family restaurant with…seating that lets you watch locals walking by. It is clean and guest friendly. We have been there several times and yesterday had their Pastuer with shrimp, bacon, mushrooms, garlic and bell peppers. It take a while to get the food, but that is because you see him make everything fresh. Watching him is part of that local flavor you can not put a price on. The meal was very good and large enough that many people will have a challenge finishing it. They have non-alcoholic drinks, therefore you can ring your own beer. If you want that local flavor away from the tourist traps, this is just one of many places in old town.More
