We decided to visit the gardens while staying in Punta Negra. Nice taxi ride and about $15. The gardens were nice but the highlight was the restaurant! Beautiful setting with a table looking out over the mountains and river below. Excellent service and food. There…was also a young woman roaming through the restaurant playing violin (Sweet Child of Mine among the songs). If we didn’t need to pay the $300 pesos each just to get to the restaurant we definitely would have went again during our trip.More

This restaurant has it all beautiful views of the jungle, mountains and the botanical gardens! Many menu option of both traditional and unique choices. Our waiter Armondo was excellent. He really made the meal special for us! We enjoyed the complimentary hibiscus tea along with…the non alcoholic blueberry mojito . Many alcoholic choices too and not just margaritas! We will certainly be back!More

Top notch Presentation! The setting is beautiful either the surrounding gardens. We stop on the top floor in the veranda and the Mountain View is spectacular. They start your visit with a complimentary drink of hibiscus tea. I then ordered a kiwi and vodka drink….Not only was the drink good but the presentation was beautiful. We had already eaten prior to our arrival at the gardens so we didn’t order a meal but we plan on returning because the food looked delicious.More

We love this place and always make the trip into the mountains for both the gardens and the restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is even better, and you can’t beat the view or atmosphere. I ordered the Texas Style Burrito this last time….It was great (but tread lightly with that stuffed jalapeño on the side)!More

This was our 2nd trip to the garden and to the restaurant. We each had a late breakfast. Our service was excellent. The food was excellent with excellent presentation! I enjoyed the coffee-again! We both enjoyed the small gratis drink with flowers after seating! It…is worth the trip to simply engage in a meal here. And, the gift shop downstairs is quite nice!More

After exploring the amazing botanical gardens, we stopped in for lunch with a view of the gardens. Our table was right by the bird feeder and were able to see many birds during our meal. We were given a delicious watermelon water to start. It…was so refreshing! I ordered a blackberry mojito, which was as tasty as it was pretty. I ordered the fish tacos and my partner ordered the fish and chips. Both meals were generously portioned and the fish was delicious and fresh. The service was attentive and friendly, and the prices extremely reasonable for a very filling meal. Most of all, it was such a relaxing experience after enjoying the gardens. Highly recommend, visit the gift shop also.More

I can’t rave enough about this restaurant, or their staff. We were on a port stop from a cruise, and thank goodness we had a generous amount of time in port that day, from 8AM to 8PM. I researched the expected taxi fare from the…cruise marina to Puerto Vallarta botanical gardens. It’s a good thing, the taxi drivers were extremely creative in their offerings of what the fare should be. Some wanted US $100 each way, instead of the listed fare per zone of what should have been around $24 or $25. Stuck to the price of what the fare should be and although the taxi driver was aggressive & rude, at least we didn’t overpay. Upon getting there, and him taking twice as long as the travel time should have been – he was telling us he would have to wait as “no taxis come here.” The restaurant employee stationed outside overheard, told him that that they had two taxi vans of their own in the parking lot and they would have no trouble calling us a taxi when we were ready to leave. The taxi driver became enraged & the convo immediately changed to Spanish, and it did not sound friendly. Anyway we were relieved to know we could get a different driver for the trip home. From that point on our time at the botanical gardens was lovely and perfect. Beautiful grounds, and the restaurant was impeccable. Beautiful setting, atmosphere, excellent service and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was a very hot day, humid and near 90 degrees. The cold gratis hibiscus tea was delicious, and normally I don’t like this kind of tea because it is overly tart. This was not, it was sweetened but not overly sweet, just cold and refreshing and beautiful. Garnished with an orchid flower. I ordered the stuffed avocado appetizer, that was so big I could not eat half of it. My son ordered the shrimp fajita platter. Everything was fresh, plated beautifully and absolutely delicious. The trip here was not a lot of fun, but we were so glad we made it there. This was one of the highlights of our whole cruise, and well worth the effort. Next time we will take Uber, or the city bus.More

We visited the gardens yesterday. We stopped for lunch. I totally agree with the other reviews. Everything was excellent: service, location, view, food tastes, food quantity, presentations, and price. We started our meal with the complimentary, non alcoholic “Lady Gaga” drink!!! A fun start to…the meal. We ordered the rustic avocado salad and the grilled shrimp and bacon pizza. We were also provided with cucumbers spears. We did not finish the food, tho we tried! It was so good. We brought home 1/2 of it to complete another time or two. Julio was our server. I cannot over state his excellence.Non intrusive but always on point, gracious, kind. The views are lush and green with hummers flying about. There is greenery everywhere and a cooling breeze. Oh, my husband had the coffee. I tasted it. It was good enough that I bought a package of it to take home. It is locally sourced and organic. This was a super experience within the lovely garden complex. If the restaurant was a bit closer to PV we would go repeatedly.More

We were recommended to eat here by several friends who live in PV so we arrived at 1100, saw some of the garden and then stopped for lunch. Beautifully situated overlooking the river, the breeze is wonderful, the view spectacular and the food doesn’t disappoint….We shared chicken fajitas, empanadas, and fish tacos and frankly, each dish was really great. The empanadas were really so delicious and much more delicious than the one I am used to in Argentina. THe fish tacos just popped in my mouth, wonderful. The fajitas were great but felt a bit common compared to the excellence of the other dishes. Service is superb, the young men having great control and timing. The drinks are really good too, the mango smoothie was perfect in taste and consistency and the Jamaica tea was really delicious and served with a piece of sugar can to chew on if you are into that, I am. Take a break, eat here, see some more of the garden.More
