I had the chicken shwarma plate. The food was nothing short of superb. I especially appreciated his home made pita. The food was freshly prepared in front of my eyes which I really appreciated. If I return to PV, I’ll definitely be returning.
Came across this little hole in the wall restaurant, saw the picture board menue outside and had to give it a try. Chicken S hawarma sandwich wase absolutely delicious as well as the falafel sandwich. We found the sandwich to be very filling. The Pita…is fresh made daily by the owner, and very tasty. Will visit this place again whenever we are in PVR.More
wife & i split a shawarma chicken combo plate for $150pesos for lunch. every item on the plate was tasty & fresh. nice change from tacos. we would definitely return. no ambience but who cares? the food was great, the spotify playlist was middle eastern…to match and you got a front row seat to watch the chef/host do his stuff.More
This is a quaint restaurant in the heart of Old Town. The food is made fresh daily and well worth a visit. You can even get your food to go. The pita bread and hummus are also made daily and delicious. This is the best…hummus ever! I cannot imagine eating hummus from a grocery store ever again. The owner and staff are very helpful and gracious.More
We went to Jerusalem express today because they have vegan options like falafel and hummus. The Positive: The food was really really good. It was as good as many places I’ve eaten in Israel. The owner and the guys that work there are so nice…and friendly as well. Prices were fair for shawarma type middle eastern food. The Negative: Portions were just a little bit on the small side. I wished they were just a little bit more generous with the portion size. I still have them 5 stars because the food is delicious but i could see them loosing a star from some people because of the portion size…. To be fair it is not that expensive so you could always get more! Definitely go eat here and check it outMore
We came across this tiny cafe accidentally and noticed that it is vegan friendly. So glad we stopped for lunch. Freshest pita we have had in North America. All food made in house. We watched as the cook was roasting eggplants getting them ready for…fresh babaganoush. Had a great chat with the owner, Alon. The location is just a few blocks from the malecon/boardwalk in old town PV. Check it out!More
I was really hoping for a good Shawarma We received the PIta pocket More with vegetables and potatoes “ where’s the beef?” The tabouli and hummus small portions and below par Very expensive for what you’re getting No air conditioning you’re like walking into an…oven The only thing that made that place was a staff very nice people Not worth looking for parking and going there A better choice is to go to Opa In VersaillesMore
Probably one of the best falafel pitas you will ever have the pleasure of eating. Everything is made in house, including the pita. Also, I love the owner Alon who takes great pride and care with every single one he makes. Just delicious and good…prices, I only wish he had pickles and hot sauce for my own taste to add inside, although I did not ask so he may! Go and support this local gem. Five stars well deserved.More

We had a wonderful meal! The food was fresh and made to order. The presentation was beautiful. Great value. The two men working were friendly and happy to help us. We liked it so much we went back two days later! One of the best…restaurants in Puerto Vallarta!More
They make everything fresh and it’s so good we went back a few times. We also had the hummus as well very good. Well priced, really worth the visit. See you in 50 weeks.
We were warmly greeted by the owners & explained the menu. I’d done research online & we requested the mixed plate. It included, 6 falafel, Baba ghanouj, hummus, tabouli, cucumber salad, cabbage salad and pickles. Also a soft moist piece of pita made today. Everything…was very fresh. Real plates and silverware too!More
Jerusalem Express is a taste of the Middle East in PV that’s not to be missed. Although it’s been fixed up inside and has more tables this year, JE isn’t about the decor. It’s about delicious falafel and shawarma. We also tried their out of…this world, shakshuka, an Israeli tomato base egg dish that’s amazing. Alon and Avi are friendly, and terrific to talk to, and you can’t beat their prices. Their home made tamarind juice is refreshing and tastes great, too. See you next year.More
Good fresh middle eastern food. Definitely worth a visit. Didn’t leave hungry. Owner was friendly. We shall return.
Tasty. Seriously tasty. The falafel was fantastic. I got it twice and liked it even better when I got take out because the Pita was warm by the time I got home. When eating at the restaurant the pita was room temperature. I also had…the hummus with egg. It takes a few minutes longer to make because he boils the egg right then. But it’s worth the wait. I’ve never had it with egg and it was amazing. On top of the great food, the owner (and son?) are warm and friendly. It’s very casual and I felt welcomed when I was there solo and with family. Try it. It’s worth seeking out.More
