Nice little restaurant across OXXO and Pie in the Sky at the marina. The Sunday special caught our eyes as we enjoy a great hot bowl of soup this morning 89pesos each. The beef was tender so as the tripe. We also order a spinach…and ham omlette equally well prepared moist and generous portion. Extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Reasonable value.More

Basic Mexican breakfast boasting awful coffee, not returning for that 1 reason. Plenty of restaurants in the Marina area, e.g. Las Alcatraces with a wonderful “Mexican” cinnamon coffee.

Our first morning staying at the Marina we wanted a Mexican breakfast. We walked around the Marina looking for someplace. It was Sunday so many of the places along the Marina were packed. Found this little place on a side street. Small inside with two…tables outside . We dined alfresco under an umbrella. This place is popular with the locals, we were the only gringos. Good food and prices. We enjoyed our breakfast, the service was very good.More

Stopped in for breakfast as I was in the area. This little hole in the wall is just off the Marina Vallarta Malecon on the side road that runs beside the Nima Bay Condo building. It is a little hard to see as the entire…front is shaded by palms. This is a small basic Mexican restaurant with good home made style Mexican and some American flavours. They are open 08:00-1700 only. I have only ever had breakfast here but based on that I have to believe their lunches would be equally high in quality. Scrambled ham and eggs with coffee $4.55 The service is prompt and very friendly. This really feels like a family place.More

but this time we were disappointed in the coffee, the omelette and the hotcakes. Perhaps they changed the cocinero?

Stopped here with friends and had breakfast. Wasn’t bad and wasn’t that good either. The place is always busy, but it is all tourists. It’s not a big place so some times it’s hard to get a table. There is no outside street tables -…all inside seating. The service was ok – nothing special and the food was good, but nothing special either. It has a great location in the marina, but that’s about it. It’s your typical tourist breakfast spot!More

I have always said that I have never had a bad cup of coffee in Mexico in 10 years of visiting. That was until breakfast at La Canoa. If you are serious about your coffee as 3 of 4 of us are, this is not…a pleasant way to start your day. Food was OK but there are so many places to get good breakfasts with good coffee that there is never a need to return here.More

We had breakfast there yesterday morning and were pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t spectacular but it wasn’t bad. They had coffee spiced with cinnamon which was a nice surprise. The food was decent and the service was pretty good. It was a bit noisier than I…would have liked for breakfast but it wasn’t bad.More

We visited this restaurant after we received our morning massages at Bliss Spa next door. It was always packed when we walked by, so we figured it must be good. Lots of locals and visitors were always there. Their breakfast choices were plentiful and reasonable….Fresh fruit and coffee are also included with the meal. I was not able to finish my omelette as it was so big and tasty. I would recommend this quaint little restaurant to anyone staying in the marina area, or it is definitely worth a bus trip from town!More

Great location. Food is good but service tends to be on the slow Mexican side. You know Mexican time!

We eat breakfast at Canoa’s often and are never disappointed. The cooks understand gluten free, as do the waiters. Thefood is plentiful and delicious. They also happen to have the best nachos in Puerto Vallarta.

Fresh, yummy and inexpensive breakfast! What else do you need? Go to the restaurant where the locals go. I had 2 breakfasts here and busy with locals always.

I’ve had at least 40 breakfasts here … just keep going! For a great value, you get a fresh fruit platter, hot coffee, fresh squeezed OJ and your selected breakfast with tortillas, beans, avocado and tomato on the side. You can’t beat this deal.

Poor signage, but close to the hotels in the Marina area. Very little English was spoken and the menu was more suited for breakfast. Quesadillas were very good, beef, chicken, and shrimp. served with Orange Juice and a small plate of fresh fruit. Very in-expensive.
