Grab a quick snack or a full meal at reasonable price. View is great and staff very helpful. Shrimp cocktail is very appropriate for a very cold beer.

Despite more limited options (menu only, no buffets) the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. My husband especially liked the seafood lasagna and I love the avocado stuffed with shrimp. Sharing the club sandwich made a great snack at lunchtime.

Neither of us felt like we wanted to face the hurly burly of ZR on a Sunday evening. We decided to have quiet & relaxing dinner at La Cascada at the Costa Sur resort. We took the bus from our condo on Playa Palmares. It…stopped right at the entrance to Costa Sur Resort. Very handy! We viewed another gorgeous Puerto Vallartan sunset over the bay. The service was pleasant & professional. The seating was comfortable. My husband had the Fettuccine with Shrimp in a white wine and garlic sauce. $249 p. I had the Medallions of Pork over a bed of tender crisp julienned vegetables and a rosette of creamy mashed potatoes. $199 p. My dish was served with two pots of sauce: a gravy & a chimichurri. Both our meals were very tasty. But, there was too much food for me. Luckily, my husband fancied my meal and he ate half of it. Once again, we did not have room for dessert. I may have to start having dessert between lunch and dinner.:) I look forward to having another delicious & relaxing meal at La Cascada during our next trip to Puerto Vallarta.More

I suggested that we give La Cascada @ Costa Sur a try for lunch on the way back from down town PV to our condo in Playa Punta Negra. It was very handy as the bus stops at the Costa Sur entrance. We were comfortably…seated in the open-side restaurant which resides between the resort’s two pools & has a ocean view. The back wall of the restaurant was a vertical waterfall grotto. Very well done. I asked the waiter what their special drink of the day was? A kiwi margarita! It was tart & tasty. But, it left a scratchy, furry feeling in my throat. I ordered some aqua mineral to wash away that feeling. I ordered the avocado stuffed with shrimp salad. It looked very festive with the green avocado, the coral shrimp, & the purple radicchio @ $169 p. It equaled the same salad that I had at the Girasol Sur. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin steak with a choice of gravy, plum or chimichurri sauce and served with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes @ $169. He chose the chimichurri sauce. It was attractively presented with a Parmesan crisp garnish. He was very happy with his meal. The pork was very tender & the mashed potatoes were creamy. The service was excellent. I would not hesitate to go back to Lacascada for lunch or for dinner. The menu is very reasonable for the setting.More

The three different dinner shows were an unexpected addition to our vacation. The Three Tenors with their romantic style giving glasses of bubbly to the ladies are a hit. The Latin show with its sensual dancing is a favorite. The Mexican show had colorful costumes….These shows are an example of improvements made by the activities director – Jose. It is another reason we stay here at Costa Sur each year. Good job Jose! Mike and Toni BeckerMore

The restaurant, on the grounds of the Costa Sur Hotel, was recommended to us when we booked a week stay at the Solamar condo’s next door and we’ve been so happy, enough to take several meals there. The ample oceanside terrace can’t be beat, nor…can the attentive wait staff. The food is delicious and varied. We enjoyed lunches and also dinners and didn’t get bored because there were specials each night and an extensive menu. The seafood, no matter what dish we ordered in it, was outstanding and meats, from Prime Rib to Steak Fajitas were tender, juicy and flavorful. Standouts were: Giant Garlic Shrimp Breaded Calamari Rings Seafood Pasta Battered Fish chunks in crunchy shelled TacosMore

We were staying next door to the Costa Sur Resort & Spa at the Condominios Solamar. La Cascada restaurant is located inside Costa Sur. We decided not to go to town on our first night in PV and ate at La Cascada. The views are…breathtaking and the ambience is lovely. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan and I had the catch of the day. The chicken and pasta were great, however, my fish was well seasoned but overcooked. I would not avoid the restaurant, but if you like your fish moist, ask for it that way. I think this was my bad.More

We stayed at Costa Sur Resort. So when we got hungry, we just ate at the restaurant. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here on several occasions. Breakfast buffet—–excellent, lots of Mexican entrees and a made to order Quesadilla and Omelet bar….food was fresh and…delicious. Lunch/Snack c/o La Cascada and Barefoot Bar—-the ceviches and cocktails were amazing, the shrimp burrito was so delicious, the chicken wings and fried calamari were mouth watering. Dinner — the best and most flavorful was the marinated flank steak, the shrimps were huge and fresh and gooooood, the salad bar had unique selections…the dressings, mango, tamarind, guava….all were so amazing. The penne pasta with 4 cheeses is what my grandson ate mostly and he loved itMore

La Cascada. A hotel restaurant at Costa Sur served one of the best Mahi Mahi I have eaten. The fish was wrapped in herbs and spices and served on a bed of risotto. The filet was crusted brown and so moist on the inside. Great…presentation. The pounding of waves just over the wall by the dining area provided the perfect accompaniment to the setting sun.More

What a lovely evening to have dinner in La Cascada restaurant! We were quickly seated at a table lit by candle light overlooking Banderas Bay. A small band played music ranging from the Beatles to Elvis a few hundred feet away as we ate our…delicious entrees. I ordered the Pork tenderloin & my husband the filet of fish. The presentation of our selections was very eye-appealing. I almost didn’t want to eat it! The service was excellent. Traveling by car or bus, it is very easy to reach. Along with the ambiance of the evening, it added to a memorable experience. We are looking forward to returning on our next visit to lovely Puerto Vallarta.More

I was fortunate to be seated with a view overlooking the southern tip of Banderas Bay. What a lovely sight and a delicious dinner to boot! I ordered the Tortilla soup, Mexican Plate and Flan for dessert. All were wonderful! The presentation of each plate…added to the wonderful taste of each course. The service was efficient and courteous. The restroom was close by and well-maintained. Besides all of this……….this restaurant was so easy to get to if you do or don’t have transportation. If you have a vehicle, there is plenty of parking out front. Taxis will find it easily if you refer to “Costa Sur”. By bus just tell driver you want to get off @ Costa Sur. bus stops right in front. Ask for Mismolaya bus. It’s 8 pesos. Enjoy!More
