Love this little Mexican breakfast spot in Nuevo Vallarta. Always generous portions (you gnome how much a love to eat), the outside dining area is vibrant, and the service is impeccable. This is also clearly a favorite for local residents. They accept cash & card…(always worth noting as not all places accept card) For reference we had the hotcakes (natural) $89 and The Alacatraces $168. If you’re in the area, check it out. And tell them the gnome sent you!More

Tried this because my breakfast reservation at El Set got terminated due to hwy closure. Great second choice. Huge place full on nationals. I believe I was the only Gringo there which suits me fine. Had the shrimp omelette with sides and that was excellent….Good juice and coffee. Big lineup up outside when I left . Definitely going back.More

Top-notch service and luvely atmosphere. We stayed in the marina area for 3 days and we ate at this place 3 times – 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner. Great menu, something for everyone – from regular pancakes and omelets to aguachiles and liver and onions….Food was incredibly tasty and well-plated. Drinks were fabulous – try their michelada. They have entertainment even during breakfast.More

We went here for lunch just after getting off a tour we had taken. I was a bit queasy from being on the boat so wanted something easy to put in my stomach. I asked about there soup and the waiter said they had a…home made chicken soup just ready. This sounded like just the thing. The soup came and it had rice and other flavorings to add to make it to your own taste. I cannot rave enough about this soup. It is the “best” home made soup I have ever tasted and was just what I needed. My husband had a chicken quesadilla. He is not usually a fan of these but decided to try it. He loved it. Said it was the best he had tried. The waiters were super friendly and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. If you are ever in the Marina Vallarta area, you have to try this restaurant.More

This restaurant must be a favorite of local residents. We went there on a Saturday and it was packed. I can see why! The portions are huge, very yummy and service is excellent. Because it was a bit crowded it took a little longer than…usual to get our food but our waiter kept us informed. I had the waffle (big as a Belgium Waffle) and it tasted like the batter was malted. So Yummy!! My husband had the omelette and it was loaded with chorizo and potatoes. He said it was very tasty. We will be going back there during the week.More

Large open-air restaurant near Costco. PPE protocol excellent temps taken at door along with distribution of hand gel and masks required except when seated. All staff masked and properly. The menu is quite varied with breakfasts, lunches, and full dinners. We were going to have…breakfast mid-day until we came upon liver & onions with beans for 165 pesos. We both love that and rarely have it so easy ordering. It arrived with a new take for us, liver already cut up in small pieces, so we were both hesitant but it was delicious and tender. The service was good and not overbearing. Bathrooms were very clean. The ambiance is quite typical Mexican with equipale seating etc. Most certainly will return and try other options as well.More

Our breakfast at Los Alcatraces was the best meal of our vacation. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is excellent. We were impressed by the condiments laid out for the meal, and for special touches such as the toasted sliced hard…rolls. The tortillas were some of the best I’ve had. Our takeaway was that these people care deeply about food, and put some thought into how it is presented.More

American Expat who has lived here over 2 years. I’ve been here before but my last visit was horrible. My visit was on Mexican Independence day and the place was crowded. The staff seemed unprepared to handle the many customers. They were running around the…place in disarray. It took me 1 hour to get my breakfast and I actually think they forgot to put my order in because when I asked the server about it, my breakfast came 10 minutes later. Nobody asked me to refill my coffee the service was so bad, I almost wanted to walk out without paying and they probably would have not noticed anyway. So many restaurants come and go in this city and the number one reason is service. It was really bad during this visit. I left no Tip not one penny.More

This place is a little out of the way. Behind Costco. Food is good and so is service. We went Sunday which is a traditional day for Mexican families to be out. The place was full but not over crowded. All protocols followed. Recommended.

A group of 5 adults and two girls had a great breakfast on a Saturday morning. Not too much parking was available so we ended parking across inside of Costco’s parking lot since we had to go shopping afterwards. It all work out fine after…all. We were seated right away upstairs. We had “café de olla” which has mexican chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. The pan dulce selection is amazing and very delicious. The girls had fresh orange juice with a frozen cup which they liked. We all had different styles of chilaquiles and we were all satisfied with our choices. Big portions, if your not a big eater is best if you split your plate. Unfortunately I was the only one who did not finish her plate. I definitely recommend you attend this restaurant.More
