Mariscos la tia is a non-pretentious restaurant with an outside stall in front that serves as their kitchen. The food here is incredible and very fresh. I especially enjoyed their shrimp tacos and tostada consentida that had octopus, shrimp, cucumber, avocado, onion, and tomato. Definitely…come here for some great seafood!More
wife had the los preparados al sauzon de la tia with camaron for 80p. i had the los guisados with marlin amuhado. gmo were they both ever delicioso!! exquisite tastes. we will return.
We ordered a seafood soup (Cazuela Especial La Tia) and Perla Negra, which is cut shrimp in black salsa. Both plates were just so delicious! the uniqueness taste of the black salsa left me wanting to come back again. This is a MUST GO dive…place at Puerto Vallarta.More
If you love smoked seafood. The Taco marlin was amazing. Will be going back their again. Would like to try some other dishes next visit.
For the past 3 years we have been coming here EVERY time we visit PV, which is 1-2 x per year. The tacos (smoked Marlin / shrimp) are consistently excellent. Definitely top the tacos with the special sauce (bottle with pink’ish sauce). So good!!
Let’s start with the obvious: you don’t go here for the ambiance. Once you get past that this place has everything you could want when you’re craving seafood. The tacos are HUGE and flavorful. Their marlin is amazing. So fresh and smokey, never fishy. I’ve…honestly never had something I didn’t enjoy from their menu and the staff is always friendly and service fantastic. A must visit for a taste of Vallarta!More
Excellent camarones al gusto. Good size tostadas. Delicious and filling. Wonderful service. The road to get there was a little busted up, but we’ll worth the trip. Five stars.
Stopped by headed to the beach. Got a Fantastic mariscos mixto, best food so far in PVR. 150 pesos. Perfect beach snack. ????
The saltapatras is excellent. The seafood is fresh, and the staff is very friendly. Beer is cold, ice cold. We went to Mariscos La Tia with hang overs from the previous night of over sampling Tequila. The Saltapatras is the cure. It is translated to…“jump back”. It is made from Marlin…fresh Marlin caught from Bahia de Banderas. The restarant is located in Colonia Cinco Diciembre. It is on a side street, but only 1 block from Carretera 200, which is the main drag, so do not be alarmed when you have to go “off the beaten path”. You will be rewarded with food that will bring you back to life.More
Seriously, the food is extraordinary! Anything you get will for certain exceed your expectations. I always keep coming back for more.
Our neighbors recommended this taco stand. As we researched it, we learned that it is also featured on several taco tours. They are known for their smoked Marlin tacos. These are some of the best tacos we ate this week. I never would have known…I was eating fish. So much flavor and good texture. Try the cucumber sauce. It’s a refreshingly light salsa and enhance the smoked marlin.More
This spotlessly clean seafood restaurant is the home of amazing food and wonderful people. The seafood stew came with a rich red broth that was full of local seafood. Tacos de marlin were outstanding, as well. It was our first visit and we’ll be back…again for sure!More
I would of never guessed their food is spectacular! I’ve recommended this place to several friends and family. Services is great!
We come here every year for the marlin tacos. This is the best marlin I’ve had in Puerto Vallarta. Their tacos have a chewier shell with the hottest, most delicious marlin ever! Their special sauce is perfection and their hot sauces are amazing, too. Very…spicy! I’ll always come to la Tia and I’ll never stray from the marlin tacos. Note: don’t expect fancy ambience. You come here for the food, period. 🙂More
A local friend told us about this place. So glad he did. We split their Octopus and shrimp burrito. Awesome! I have to say it beats the smoked marlin and shrimp burrito at our other favourite (and well known) taco/burrito place. Been coming to PV…the last 5 years and so happy to find another hidden gem.More
