Hidden gem right off of the Malecon. Very creative drinks and awesome presentation for each one. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, but they do also have dishes with meat. Highly recommend the Cauliflower and Poutine appetizers!

Visited last night after walking by during the day. Everything about this place is gorgeous, I couldn’t stop taking pictures, the walls, the ceiling, the glasses, the cocktails and the food, love it all. A must try spot when visiting PV, it’s not cheap but…money well spent for an amazing experience!!!More

Worth visiting. Small but tons of personality. Kind of a hip vibe. Service was very good and informative, which is a must here with the unique drink and food menu. Drinks are spectacular. Extremely good and presented beautifully. Food is equally impressive and so delicious….Prices are a little higher but definitely worth it. Great addition to the PV food scene!More

Mexican cuisine taken to a higher level. As good as it gets. Only downer was a food tour group who showed next to us. Loud, rude and obnoxious guide who NEVER stopped yapping spoiled an qotherwise perfect experience. Why allow these BSers to ruin other…paying customers experience? Take it outside.More

This little gem was in a beautifully decorated, unassuming little space just a block from the beach. We serendipitously stumbled in and had the greatest culinary experience in Mexico! The bar took us to a different whimsical world filled with flowers and fragrance and the…best cocktails on this Earth! I can’t recommend it highly enough!!!!More

We recently moved to Vallarta and are committed to find new restaurants serving great food with joy, no matter the price point. We’ve been to Mezcal y Sal twice in our first two weeks here. Set on a quiet side street, almost hidden away, is…this extraordinary treasure. Maria and her team will offer you the most beautiful, imaginative, and tasteful cocktails you’ll find anywhere. Follow that with authentic and impressively prepared foods and you have the makings of a great restaurant. Everyone involved and everything about this restaurant is a masterpiece.More

We stopped in for a drink and a quick bite. The restaurant is just half a block from the beach, with a nice shaded area and interesting design inside. I got the bartender’s choice cocktail, which was very creative. I enjoyed the funky serving dishes…and glasses. We also enjoyed the Tres Guacamoles as a light snack. My partner was happy to be able to try a local craft beer – Las Colimitas. Recommended!More

The most beautiful cocktails ever! Four of us tried the incognito (bar tender’s design) and each of us received a different cocktail. Each was unique in flavor and dramatic in presentation. The food was fantastic and beautiful as well.

I was initially drawn to this place by its charming appearance and convivial atmosphere, and decided I wanted to try it even though I’m not a big mezcal fan. My friend that I was traveling with assured me that mezcal makes a great base for…cocktails, so we went. She was so right! The cocktails here are delicate, yet deeply flavorful and lovingly presented. But what really blew me away was the food! There is a big emphasis on fresh, indigenous ingredients, as reflected in the exquisite hoja santa quesadilla- a big, delicious traditional hoja santa (Mexican pepperleaf) wrap in place of tortilla holding grilled avocado and corn and crispy cheese, with an outrageously delicious peanut mole sauce to go with it. And the vegetarian al pastor-style marinated hibiscus flower quesadillas with grilled pineapple were truly an unexpected and mouthwatering experience. Possibly the single best dish I tried while in Vallarta. I hope this place flourishes, because they do a damn good job of everything.More

Amazing!! Cocktails are delicious and the customer service is great. The cocktails are different each time and are more of a profile of flavors on the menu. We went twice in our short trip to PV. Food is also yummy. The fried oyster mushroom tacos…were so delicious!!More

We had an extraordinary meal here tonight with friendly and efficient service! Everything from the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees was amazing. This restaurant creates artistic presentations of interesting, innovative recipes. Then menu includes somewhat familiar Mexican dishes with unique, rich, flavors. All…four of the diners raved about each cocktail and dish and we are certain to return for another meal before we leave PV.More
