We ended up here for dinner on New Years Day 2019. Had not done any research so really was not expecting very much. Everything, from the margaritas to the guacamole to the bacon wrapped shrimp to the seared tuna delivered. Thumbs up!
This is a new place opened Feb 15th. We followed construction and wanted to try it. We went one evening and found they close at 7. We were able to get there last evening it was busy with a very large party. They staff was…friendly and we had a short wait for a table. The service was fine for the crowd. Alberto did his best. We ordered a shrimp and mussel dish and a tuna shrimp combo. The food was really delayed in getting out. But we are use to service in Mexico but this was extra long. The food was very good large portions well prepared. They have mostly locals which is what we look for. The manager came over and apologized for our long wait and gave us complimentary shots of tequila. He explained that they have had a lot of turnover which happens with new restaurants. Since this is close to where we stay we will return.More
I was told by a local resident who lives in this area of Puerto Vallarta, about the restaurant. We were not disappointed. It’s very family friendly, and has a nice layout. They have a full bar, and a nice selections of bottled beers. The menu…is mostly seafood. We had two different variations of the fish fillet, and both were excellent. We will definitively return!More
Muelle 7 is a nice restaurant outside the touristy places in PV. I went with my family and we were very pleased with what we found there the atmosphere, food, drinks and service were great. Nothing compares to the attention and service you get at…a family ran bussines. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a less touristy experience in Puerto Vallarta.More
out standing food and service. family ran operation with fresh seafood and steaks. waiter was worried I couldn’t read the spanish menu and offer to help me out.
We met a local woman and explained that we wished to try a restaurant where locals eat. She recommended Muelle 7 and helped us get to the restaurant. As it turns out, the restaurant is not far from the Hotel Zone (80 Peso taxi ride)….The neighborhood may not be the prettiest, but inside the courtyard seating area, the restaurant is wonderful. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and we made each other laugh with our marginal Spanish/English. We started with nice margaritas and a ceviche appetizer (along with home made chips and salsas). For main course, we ordered the “paddle surf” shrimp platter; and the tuna special (Atun Sellado). Both were excellent, with lots of fresh seafood. The food was filling, not expensive and well prepared. We finished the meal with a coffee liqueur & cream drink. All in all, a great meal, great service, fun atmosphere, and even a children’s play area for the little ones. If you’re feeling a little adventurous and want to get away from the tourist areas, I’d highly recommend Muelle 7.More
We were introduced to Muelle 7 about 2 years ago, it is a little bit off the beaten path but so very worth it! Lalo has a amazing restaurant with a fun welcoming atmosphere and a great staff and the food…….to die for! Beautiful presentation…& Prices are extremely reasonable. This is our go to place when out of town guests come- everyone loves it! Everything is yummy but our favorite is the bacon wrapped shrimp and the shrimp burger. Thanks Lalo for such a wonderful restaurant!More
We have had three or four different people tell us about this restaurant. So we took Silvia and made her take us there for lunch on me. She did not resist and that told me this was going to be good. Hehe. This restaurant is…off the normal tourest beaten path which saves it for us folks who live her full time and like to give back to the locals and typically the prices are also much better. This small restaurant is located up in the hills surrounding PV in a very eclectic neighborhood. It is a great discovery as there food was to die for. I had there most expensive dish, 1/2 a pineapple with most of the inside pinapple removed. They then fill the inside with wonderful fresh octopus, shrimp, fish and a delicious sauce and the cover it with cheese and bake. HumHum good. You only have to order one margarita as the come in a huge glass jar which would full two large glasses. What a hidden jewel run by a mother & son with a great chef and very attentive waiters. You will be sorry if you miss this place. If you want fancy it isn’t but it is very clean and they dote on their patrons.More
