Both our meals were good … Me, Grilled Red Snapper, my partner – some type of White Fish stuffed with Seafood, cooked in Aliminum Foil …. the veggies were cooked properly … not that busy so service was prompt ….. Most of the tables were…out in the sand so we opted to sit closer to the Bar on the cement pad … The lady suggested a beer I had never tried … a Modelo not as dark as the Negro, tasty and my partner had a Pina Colada, she says it was good …. Watched the Sun go down during our meal Just a shy over 500 Pesos (535?) but this included a 10%Tip … not too many plaes do that … I left another 20 Pesos, just to beef up the Tip so 555 Pesos for a night out I wanted to do something on my Birthday and this was a good choiceMore

The best seafood I have had in a VERY long time. Fresh catch of the day right out of the ocean. Nice sweet and a very romantic place at the beach, nice view, toes in sand. Don’t expect anything fancy though, that’s the beauty of…it. Very friendly and nice stuff. Worth the money. Will definitely come back and bring my friends there. Excellent dinner experience. Try their pineapple shrimp cocktail. I’d sell my soul for it.More

BEWARE there is no sign advertising for oceano azur in front of the place. They only take cash. I gave it a 4 because of that. Situated at the beginning of the malecon boardwalk facing McDonald. On the beach side. Exhausted walking the boardwalk back…and forth and asking for directions we finally found it by asking merchants. Tired I had 3 beers, my wife had one plus a glass of wine. I had 12 small oysters fresh and served with lime, salsa and tortillas. My wife had coconutt shrimps skewers. Total 605 Mexican pesos. Great food, great views and friendly waiters. Now I know where the place is. If you like seafood at a good price check it out. Facing McDonald on the beach.More

Good food. The view was great from table on the beach. Excellent place for lunch during the week–not a lot of people on the beach blocking view. We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail, Ceasar Salad with Chicken and Chicken quesadilla.

There are hundreds of places to eat in Puerto Vallarta and in our two weeks we tried a number of them. Ocean Azul became our favourite. The prices are very reasonable, it was initially the 2 for 1 $70 peso margaritas that pulled us in,…but then the food was really good for the price, the venue right on the beach and the staff are just amazing. We went here four times during our trip – breakfast, lunch, dinner and just for margaritas. Our favourite waiter said his name was Christopher Robinson – he was so funny – seemed to always be in trouble, but is such an asset to this place. We loved the front guys who welcomed you in. Everything was great and we will have memories for years. The margaritas are great. Thanks for being fabulous – we hope to see you again.More

We went for cocktails and appetizers but one taste of the pina colada and we decided not to order food. They had a drinks special of two-for-one but a virgin pina colada didn’t count as a pina colada so we were charged for one drink…separately as well as the virgin colada separately which seemed just stupid and unfriendly to me since the virgin colada was less money. The service was poor and it wasn’t a busy time of day. The vendors on the beach were relentless in terms of coming to the tables.More

We were looking for bbq’ed fish over wood charcoals but couldn’t find any that had their coals ready for lunchtime. We were really hungry so decided to try Ocean Azul for their fried (deep fried) red snapper. It was a good choice! The fish was…well seasoned and crispy on the outside with juicy tender flesh within. We did not choose the diablo sauce but our waiter brought it in the side. It was tasty but I’m glad we had the fish just as they prepare it. The vegetables were well prepared and seasoned with a light butter coating. We started with fresh oysters and the 2 for 1 Margueritas. The oysters were fresh and tasty but I prefer them chilled. They went well with the Margueritas which are salty sweet and refreshing. Perfect to sip while watching the pelicans dip and dive for fish! You can’t beat the view and their prices are very reasonable. The service was just right.More

Nice beach location on the Malecon directly across from McDonalds, reasonable prices for drinks, 2 for 1 margaritas were very good (on the rocks). Unfortunately, not enough staff, too busy moving drinks and the food seemed secondary. I noticed that they stacked up food deliveries…to make one trip to multiple tables. My clubhouse sandwich was very good but the fries were stone cold, my wife’s fish tacos sat long enough that the tortillas got mushy and fell apart, what a mess. It wasn’t really busy when we got there, but that changed quickly. Probably won’t return as we have found another restaurant that is pretty awesome on the Malecon.More

This seems to be our local place to stop at the beginning of the Malecon for great nachos and a bucket of cold beers. The servers are attentive and the food is very good! The nachos can be modified to suit your different tastes. They…are definitely large enough to share! We have also enjoyed their shrimp trio. Very reasonable!More

Rating is for drinks only. Tasty drinks with good happy hour prices. Right on the beach sand under covered umbrellas. Excellent value on the 2 for 1 drinks. Lots of beach vendors, but they don’t really harass you. Recommended drink spot.
