Walking along the marina on a lovely day, think about lunchtime, we came to an Asian restaurant that served a variety of items in a Bento Box. The Bento Box is very common in Japan a way to have a varied meal, keeping the individual…foods separated so as to not run together. The box comes with a spring roll, veggie fried rice, chicken chow mein and your choice of either honey chicken, ginger beef, dynamite shrimp or sweet and sour pork. You also have a choice of beer or Margarita. My lady had ginger beef while I had dynamite shrimp. We enjoyed it so much that we came back two days later. Each item was very good. The total made for a very pleasing lunch. We would have come back for dinner but had to leave PV due to the virus and travel conditions. We do plan, next year, to have one of our first dinners there. Just wounderful.More

Completely at a loss for words. My family and I politely declined an invitation to view the menu at PV Chans this evening. We happened to be headed elsewhere however, we certainly do NOT owe anyone an explanation for where we choose to eat or…patronize. Upon realizing that we were not going to be stopping, the greeting host (photo attached) told us “you’re all very rude and I hope you get the virus”. I was so appalled, I returned to the restaurant to discuss the situation with management, I was then told by the same person, “I’m the manager and I can say whatever I want”. I eventually spoke with the real manager about the incredibly inappropriate and beyond rude behaviour of his staff member, and while he did apologize to me, it didn’t appear he took any further action, at least not immediately. Upon my exit from the restaurant, I was told “I’ll never lose my job” followed by a spitting sneer. C’mon guys, you can do a LOT better than this for a street representative for your business. This greasy guy needs to go and the several people who overheard him all deserve an apology. I’m also pretty sure Century 21 would want their shirt back….More

The best Tuna I’ve ever had. We ate here 3 times in 11 days. We did not eat everything on the menu but everything we did have was great. And Wayne the owner was excellent. The staff is new and like every place in PV,…has struggles putting together that magical team the first try but they were all awesome people and Wayne took great care of us and our needs and was so easy to talk to. We watched the owner deliver every meal and talk to every table all three times we were there. We went in with no expectations and came out very very happy. And the scotch was great as well ???? see you next year , or next month perhaps.More

What a disappointment!!! The soup was tasty but not HOT! The food was all cold. The dumplings were dense,COLD and like rubber. The honey chicken was good and warm, not HOT. The rice, COLD! Not sure what the problem was to bring hot food. The…owner appeared to be annoyed with us for complaining. No problem, we just will never return and will let all our friends at Shangri La know about the restaurant. I’d be surprised if they are here next year since they have taken over a very large space. With all the wonderful restaurants in PV, no need to waste your money here.More

The service and food were equally as disappointing. The soup was ice cold, the rice was ice cold, the ribs were ice cold, and the dumplings were honestly inedible. I get better food frozen at the supermarket. One of our dishes never arrived. When we…shared with the manager our experience, he lacked a single bone of empathy and seemed annoyed. He snatched the food up saying he saw it come out of the kitchen. We put our hands in it and said, yes, ice cold. He wasn’t pleasant and didn’t bother to check on us ever again with the exception of bringing us a remake of two dishes. We asked for glasses of water and were brought bottles. While I understand we are Americans, we have been coming to this city for years, for several months at a time. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, even my worst enemy. Simply a waste of time and money.More

They have a great location and friendly staff but the food quality is not up to PV standards. The Veggie Chow Mein was bland and watery. The Ginger Cauliflower was tasty but was served on a fried tasteless substance. As a local resident, I hope…that they will work on improving their kitchen.More

Decided to give this new place a try. Was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Dynamite shrimp starter was really good, perfect level of heat. Also enjoyed the asparagus dish and kung bao shrimp. The only miss were the potstickers, which were a…bit too dense for my liking, not terrible by any means. The owner came out to check on us, and the service in general was spot on. Great location, and it’s a big place.More

When PV Chan’s first opened a few years ago, they were in a small space on that main “restaurant row” street. I was impressed and went several times. They moved to the lighthouse and then to their current location. I went a few days ago….The lettuce wraps were delicious as were the steamed dumplings. But we ordered a curry that came without rice (a travesty in my opinion) it had very little curry sauce and even less curry flavor. I spoke to the owner. He is obviously not paying attention to his kitchen. Sad, because we really need more satisfying Asian options. It has potential, but…..,More

We were craving Asian as it is one of our favourite go to back in Canada. Service was good, waiter attentive to our needs. Sorry guys, most tasteless Asian food we have ever had. Absolutely no flavour from one dish to the next. Prices reasonable…but would not recommend if your an Asian foodies like us.More

Spent a couple of days in the marina area pin Puerto Vallarta. Did the walk around if the area and came across PV Chan’s Asian fusion restaurant. My wife and I shared 2 main meals and had a few beer. The food was better than…I thought it would be and presented well. 3.5/5 for the food. The wait staff seemed new as there was a bit of confusion on our order. All and all I was not disappointed. I would go again the next time we are in this part of PV.More
