Not the worst, but there are so many good choices at the Marina. Everything was unremarkable. Prices above average for the locale and food just meh… Keep walking amigos.
The food delicious, the prices right and Alfredo VERY welcoming! Truly mi casa es to casa. I had poblano chili with cream and cheese mixed with surf/turf…YUM! Taco/beer special enticing but my dish DELICIOUS! Located on marina… much to do and see.
The staff were really friendly & accommodating even though it was a really busy night. The service was fast. They have both Mexican and American food on the menu. We had the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had with a delicious mango dipping sauce -…not too sweet. It is open to the marina. They need better bar choices but the beer was cold. A few staff were not very efficient when we were there but I think they were learning. It was a good experience again this year and we’ll return next year.More
Alfredo, the owner, was cleaning up after a group of 28. The place was empty so I thot he was closing. He encouraged us to come in and take advantage of the ‘ribs special’. After a little dialogue, we were able to change drinks to…our advantage. We ordered 2 rib specials, one enchilada and a taco special. Ribs were tasty and decently priced. We were served well. We’d go back.More
Owner enticed us in, in a friendly way. Surf and turf is a small serving platter of fish, shrimp, chicken slices, flank steak slices, chicken fingers, ribs, veggies,..but very small amounts. Platter was made to be heated underneath but was not used that way. Food…cool to cold. Unlimited drinks with surf and turf but owner disappeared and we each had 1 drink and one had two. Not worth the priceMore
Poor food, three couples. One shared buffalo wings, cold no taste. Another had taco soup , tasted like tomato soup out of the can. Salad with chicken was a joke. Little cubes of chicken, bland. Vegetarian burrito . Veggies, no beans or rice like advertised…. Staff seemed inefficient , over worked.More
When you want great street tacos and clean tastes without heavy sauces, this is the place to dine. The wait staff and manager are great people and have good intuition about what you might be hungry for. Try “Grandmother’s special appetizer” which is a light…cheesy dish. And, like the menu says, don’t even try asking for the recipe! We enjoyed Christmas Ever supper there and had a great time – with a few shots of tequila!More
Have seen this place in the Marina for a while and friends told us about their great 69 peso breakfast so we decided to try as we do not usually go out for breakfast. Your choice of fruit plate single or mixed, your choice of…a number of breakfast items ( we chose eggs sunny up,bacon that also comes with rice, frijoles, toast and delicious potatoes, also choice of coffee or juice and dessert (my wife chose ice cream yes ice cream for breakfast and I had fried bananas with sweet topping). Service was excellent and the breakfast superb. The owner Alfredo was most gracious and very friendly. Needless to say we will be eating breakfast out more oftenMore
We wandered into this inviting little place for the $4 breakfast. We ended up having breakfast here every day. Their breakfast menu is amazing, so many choices. Everything we had was delicious. We also enjoyed their dinner menu and $1 beers. The service was very…friendly and always fast and attentive.More
A wonderful find! We stumbled into this charming restaurant for the amazing $4.00 US breakfast one morning, and came back every day! Our waiter Hugo/Jugo and the owner Alfredo are fantastic!!! Great service, personnel, funny and kind. The 3 course breakfast including drink was delicious…every morning. Such variety! We also went back a couple evenings for $1.00 beer. They were always accommodating and friendly.More
I’ve been to more than 8 restaurants in the marina and many more in the old city. This restaurant has that perfect sweet spot for me and my family. We were not harassed into eating there when walking by, just respectfully invited. The chips are…authentic for Mexico; they’re not trying to recreate the ones you get from a bag. The sauces and pico de gallo are lovely. Drinks are generous. Meals are well prepared and very flavorful. Alfredo was our host and was humorous and attentive. We enjoyed our conversation as a family, but were well cared for under the staff’s watchful eyes whenever we needed anything. I believe that any visit to the Marina when you are indecisive will leave you thankful for choosing Sabor a Mexico! JohnMore
Had the surf and turf meal with my wife and enjoyed every bit of it. The food was excellent and the drinks were amazing.
Wonderful restaurant with great staff that make you feel very welcome. Food is great, and the specials are excellent!
Excellent the best food and party all day. Tequila party the best. Service and really good atmosphere. The bar is an amazing and 2×1 all day.
I went there with my children, they asked for hamburguers; beef and shrimp, both good. I asked for Arrachera marinada, very tender. They also have draft beer. Great food, and without a doubt , the best service. Alfredo will treat you like you would like…to be treated each time you go to a restaurant. Do not leave without trying the “flan” (custard), so good!!More
