Went twice this trip. Two parts to the place. Inside under large veranda or across Malecon for beach seating. We were under Veranda roof as I am now in a wheelchair. No problems getting seated both visits. You are paying for ocean and Malecon view….Food was average. My beef fajitas came hot and sizzling and were decent. Wife had tacos that were pretty average. Poppers that were a bit perky but good. Our experiences with the drinks were good. I had a Cuban Mohita both times, good not over iced. Wife had a Bloody Mary very interesting but in a good way. 2nd time wife had Pina Colado which was very good. Recommend more for drinks and side orders. Onion rings looked great. Service was good and prompt.More
Our first day we stopped and they told us they were lazy and closing and wouldn’t seat us. We decided to give them a chance today. Worst meal in Puerto Vallarta so far(been here 10 days). The chicken burrito was stuffed with onions and huge…slices of green peppers. Plain white rice too. We had to hunt for any chicken. Very bland – the onions weren’t even that heavy in flavor. Hector came by and we tried to tell him about our meal, he waved us off and said I’ll tell someone. Waitstaff to busy playing around to take care of customers. Find somewhere else, there are enough to choose from down there.More
My wife and I were walking the Zona Romantica and curiously happened upon The Sea Monkey. We picked a table on the beach to enjoy the sunset. We started with beer and a mango margarita … refreshing and DELISH! From the menu my wife had…a shrimp fajita and I had coconut shrimp. OMG!!!!! The coconut shrimp dinner had 9 HUGE shrimp, iceberg lettuce and an empanada! Filling and oh so good! My wife loved her fajita. Finished our meal with a cold margarita! Sea Monkey’s service was attentive and wanting to please, We tip our hat to Raffael and his co-workers, personable and genuine! OH, almost forgot about da sunset, it wuz gorgeous as usual! Went to the procession of St. Guadalupe thereafter to enjoy the atmosphere and culture! Frank&Anna. ;0),More
Stopped in this restaurant whilst walking on the Malecon a couple of times last week. lovely atmosphere, great food and service. The staff were very friendly and efficient.I would recommend the Coconut Shrimp ….so yummy and they make a lovely Bahama Mama ????
I stopped in this restaurant several times a week while visiting P.V. It just a great atmosphere for drinking and eating. The view is just beautiful. As soon as you sit down someone is helping you. Couldn’t ask for better service. Met a lot of…people who had been coming in for years.More
Location is fantastic. Been there 4 times and each time I think, maybe this time the food will match the location. NO. Go for a drink, that is it.
We stop by here for excellent drinks, food and service… and again ,, it makes us love PV more. Thanks to the excellent staff who tolerate my 2 words of poor Spanish, and serve the hell out of us and allow us to have an…awesome niece of the ocean. This is our go to please in PVMore
Great location with amazing view. Cross wind make it the perfect location to relax and eat. I highly recommend ????

Last year our lunch at Sea Monkey was great…from service to food!! Last week the service was horrible, food poor and drinks were the worst we have had in Mexico. Our servers attitude convinced us we will not return to this restaurant!!
I didn’t eat there. I just wanted to enjoy a nice margarita with my girlfriend with a nice ocean view. The view is indeed lovely. But the margarita has to be the worst ive had in my life. After notifying the waiter that they didnt…put any tequila in the margarita, they brought us two waterd down shots of tequila and tried to charge extra alcohol. In the end they removed the double shots “as a courtesy” but still the worst margarita ever.More
Very good restaurant here we love the guacamole here… we back next year everyone are friendly here….
Ordered a margarita and was given a glass of ice. Virtually no drink! Questioned the waiter who told me that…he would tell the barman .. No effort to rectify the situation. In addition a dirty toilet. Avoid.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Delicious margaritas (although they no longer have the coconut margarita, but hopefully they will bring that back). I love this place. This is my 3rd visit to PV and my 2nd to Sea Monkey. We always meet…friendly people and the beach seating is dog friendly. Will always come here when we are in PV.More
Well this has very quickly become our go to ocean side – beach bar for the views, sea breeze, $1.00 Margaritas and excellent tacos and guacamole and shrimp salads – service is over the top –
