Jose, rubi, and Eder made this experience great for us! Everyone was super friendly and the food was amazing ! They even had some live music and the view of the ocean made was beautiful.
Thank you for the awesome service to evelia she was oawesome and very attentive always making sure that we had everything we need at our table.
this restaurant is closed most of the time. when they open they open next door. Food is bad and stale.
This restaurant was a delight from start to finish! The manager, Jose, recommended several dishes to us and we tried them all. The hot noodle salad was delicious! We never would have ordered it unless the manager suggested it. The teppanyaki dishes and fried rice…dishes were amazing! Everything was flavorful, hot and fresh.More
I almost gave this place a 4 **** but since they were out of the appetizer we wanted to order (chicken satay) and since the dish my wife ordered (beef teriyaki) was delivered as chicken teriyaki (made us wonder why they said they were out…of the chicken satay) and since we were both hungry we kept it. I had the shrimp teriyaki and both of the meals we ordered along with the miso soup was pretty good (a bit above average although they really skimped on the rice of all things – go figure). We also were talked into getting the flan for desert and it was ok but kinda dried out from either not made correctly or sitting around for a while ? So all in the place receives a 3 *** from us. Would skip it next time unless they have the satay in stock.More
The sushi was delicious. We didn’t think it would be great and we were blown away. My Dad, who hates sushi, even ate it and loved it!
My family members loved the sushi; I opted for chicken teriyaki. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Everything was delicious.
lots of choice on the menu, wonderful service. reservations are recommended but we had no problem getting a table for 2.
Good Sushi, good grill, good friends, lots of laughs. As others have said it is tiny, seats maybe 12 but the chef is skilled and entertaining. The meal starts out with drinks followed by sushi, deluxe fried rice, an assortment of meats and veggies ending…with desert and coffee.More
We stayed at Villa del Palmar and it was recommended we go ahead and make reservations the first day we arrived. It is a tiny little place, so we had to wait several days to get a reservation. Definitely worth it. the chef was very…entertaining the food was great, and the service was excellent. The hibachi steak was incredible, but it comes with chicken, steak, and shrimp.More
You’ll have to make reservations to eat here. The space is quite limited. Our chef made great food but lacked the entertainment value you expect from a hibachi place.
Villa Del Palmar provides two of these restaurants in the Puerto Vallarta area. One is in Nuevo Vallarta at the Flamingos and one is at Villa del Palmar at their PV location. I have only been to the one in PV. The Sushi Bar was…very entertaining and was much like a Benihana restaurant in that the chef provides cooking entertainment as you wait for your meal. The Sushi Bar is the newest restaurant at Villa PV and requires reservations. It is next to La Trattoria restaurant and the main pool. The view is of La Trattoria restaurant and the main pool but they have done a nice job with some bamboo starting to grows to provide some seclusion. I think there is room for a maximum of 10 to 12 people which is why reservations are required. Dinner starts out with a nice sampler of sushi followed by the following chef tricks: The cracked egg drawing of a heart, The fried rice heart, the onion volcano, and a number of entertaining spatula and bowl juggling tricks. It was a lot of fun and our chef, Daniel did a great job of entertaining. Three meats were available: shrimp, beef, and chicken. Daniel was very aware of the additional cooking time that is required when cooking chicken and the chicken stayed on the grill longest, separated from the other meats. I had the beef and my wife had the chicken. The beef was excellent and the sushi at the beginning of the meal was actually very good too. The total meal time was 1 ½ hours to make room for the next group. The 1.5 hours was entertaining for all 10 of us. I strongly suggest trying it out; especially if you are staying at Villa Del Palmar, PV. It is not a quiet peaceful dinner but, we had lots of quiet meal on this vacation and this was more like a show and dinner. I’ll try to find some pictures to attach. Let me know if this was helpful with a thumbs up or shoot me a question. Enjoy.More
