Pablo’s chicken and potatoes are must stop for me. Get there for a lunch you will love. Great food, very affordable and Pablo is a great guy! Thank you.
We have gotten a whole chicken here. You can have it whole with taco shells, potatoes and salad on the side. We just got our third bird here and highly recommend. Not too salty like some are and all of this was only 150 pesos…today. Look close or you will walk right by. Just a counter on the street, take out only. The guy had a bigger restaurant but had to close due to covid. He speaks great English if you need that.More
Love this place! The chicken sandwich and burgers are the best in town. Check them out, you won’t regret it!!
We stay in Puerto Vallarta Nov-April and dine a mix of restaurants and take-outs. Looking always for something new, we tried this place when it opened a few months back, and stayed since with Pablo and his famous roasted chicken and good hamburgers. As take-out…goes it is very reasonable priced which makes for a great value meal.More
This hidden jewel is family run, delightful, small, intimate, and best of all, quiet which is unusual in Puerto Vallarta. The shrimp scampi, filet of beef, and fish are just a few examples of the delicious and skillfully prepared dishes by Chef Pablo who came…to our table to describe the menu and to prepare amazing strawberries flambé for dessert. It is in the heart of the Romantic Zone and reservations are recommended.More
Thank you so much! We really appreciate your kind comments and visits. We look forward to seeing you next time.
Wonderful small cozy family owned restaurant with “TLC” from beginning to end . The chef enjoys visiting with his guests and accepts any and all recommendations. The food selection is somewhat limited, but excellent in serving size, flavor, plating, and price. Both wine and alcohol are served…Pricing is low to moderate in pesos. reservations are recommended as there are not too many tables available at this writing.More
Thank you so much for visiting Zirahuen Cafe! We look forward to your next visit!
A hidden family-run gem. Great food and cozy place with charm in Zona Romatica, PV. Visited originally 7 or 8 years ago before they closed, but reopened 2020 with same chef and his family and friend greeting guests and making us feel welcome.
Thank you and we hope you will join us again soon.
A new member to the large playing field of restaurants. This charming small establishment serves good food with freshness a key.
Thank you for your visit. We hope you will join us again.
Very small and intimate restaurant that has only been open a few weeks after many years. Great drinks! Wonderful menu! Started with a gratis salad for all with bread and tapenade, Menu had 2 fish options, a shrimp scampi, a vegetarian/vegan option (that was grilled…veggies that was wonderful-I asked for chipotle to be added and it was great), There was also a beef filet mignon, that 3 of our party ordered medium rare to rare and they were all delivered as ordered and all said very tender and great. Also they had a boneless chicken breast with 3 different sauce options and a shrimp with capers pasta option. After, they served gratis tequilas with different flavors. Lovely, personal, and a nice little restaurant with great food and service and ambience! And the price for such service and food was very right and you need to go there! Make a reservation because it is small.Only 16 or so peopleMore
Thank you so much Marlene. We hope you will join us again soon!
Loved the vegetarian plate. My husband ordered the Ceasar Salad and got 3 leaves of lettuce with a drizzle of a dressing. The owner came to our table before the salad was delivered and made such a big deal about his recipe. It was not…very good. My husband also ordered a side of mashed potatoes and was given a tablespoonfull. Not a good idea. I did enjoy my vegetarian plate. Owner very much in and around the restaurant. He should have seen that the portion was unacceptable. They do serve a nice appitizer before the meal. Nice touch, but, give a proper portion on a side dish order.More
Don’t walk by this small restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices. The owner is a great host. Be sure to try the fish tacos at lunch.
I have visited the Zirahuen Cafe on two occasions and have only good things to say. This small restaurant is run by a lovely family on the ground floor of their home. What it lacks in atmosphere is more than made up by the attentive…service, value and quality of the food they serve. Highly recommended.More
Charming restaurant, great service, excellent food and inexpesnive. The first visit I enjoyed mahi mahi, and my spouse had a wonderful steak special followed by a banana flambe to die for!. On the next visit I ordered the mahi mahi with chipotle (very spicy but…just what I wanted) and my spouse had the Dr Zhivago shrimp – beautifully prepared and great flavor. The owner is personable and ensures that you enjoy your evening. Definitely recommend this restaurantMore
As other travelers have mentioned, we happened to walk by and Pablo’s charm won us. At first we were reluctant. It seemed like a family run hole-in-the-wall place, but looks can be deceiving. The food was excellent. The service quick and the prices cheap. He…has specials every day and the margaritas are better than a lot of well know bars in the area. There are only two outdoor tables. The inside seemed dark during daylight. But the food was good and the prices are great.More
While walking by one day, Pablo greeted us at the door and handed us one of his pamphlets with the menu on it. He also has a few daily specials on a blackboard out front. A most personable man. So glad we went there a…few nights later. A real charming, well cared for restaurant. We sat at one of the two tables that are outside. Lots of ex-pats always walking by, and they all know Pablo and obviously have eaten there at one time or another. Had a wonderful, and reasonably priced dinner. Pablo also serves Chilean wine for 40 pesos a glass, or Bottle for 150 pesos. Once seated, the daughter brought us some delicious homemade bread and and equally delicious tapenade spread. A small menu, but has something for everyone. Beef, chicken and fish. There is also a vegetarian dish which is mashed potatoes with a medly of grilled vegetables. I had that dish, it was delicious, and I’m not even a vegetarian! Now, have already been there twice for dinner, and when Pablo informed us he would be open for lunch now as well, tried that also. For lunch he serves 2 great shrimp tacos for 15 pesos, and a super margarita for 12 pesos. So, if you have not been there yet, at least try it for lunch! Guaranteed you will then return for dinner. A great find in PV. Thank you, Pablo and family.More
