You must go here! This is a destination restaurant. We sat by the waterwall…beautiful table. The food was exceptional. The tuna tartare we shared to start was so good my friend decided she now likes tuna. Iberian ham is perfect. Everyone raved about their mains….amazing service . Nice wine list and the sommelier was excellent. Big thanks to Nacho and Leo. Finish up with chocolate tacos add ice cream Memorable can’t wait to go backMore

Had the most wonderful NYE dinner here. The lights in the upper area of the garden set the most whimsical evening with a fabulous prix fixe menu. Party hats were provided and all dishes were made and plated to perfection. I’d love to return for…another taste of the menuMore

We had another exceptional dinner at Cafe des Artistes (this was our 5th visit over a period of 7 years) for our 50th wedding anniversary. The food is always excellent and artfully presented, and this was no exception. The staff is very engaging and attentive….We really enjoyed our waiter, Alexis, who could not have made our experience more satisfying. Huge thanks to the staff for a perfect dining experience!More

New Year’s Eve dinner. Interesting and unique atmosphere with each section of the restaurant. Delicious food and drinks. Professional service. Overall an elegant and enjoyable night without being pretentious.

This was a gorgeous spot for a Christmas dinner with our family. We knew it would be the priciest of our stay, and it was, but we did not feel it was excessive given the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere. Sadly we…did not get to sit in the garden, but we had a lovely view of it from our table. The service was excellent, and the food too. The tuna tartare on the salt block was incredible. We all enjoyed our main courses of fish and meats. Of the desserts, of particular note was the flower pot mousse. Beautiful prep and tasty.More

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was very good, but I paid $120 US for $19 bottles. For 6 of us with tip, it was $1000. No doubt, the garden is memorable and generally the food is very good, but the tuna was tough….I wouldn’t go back – Trio was better !More
60 minutes of waiting after arriving 10 minutes before my reservation time, the hostess repeatedly telling us “they were preparing our table” and 5 other groups arriving after us with later reservations and being seated. We left to order my B day Dinner at room…service. I heard this place was good but no place is worth keeping you waiting 50 mins after your reservation time and seating groups out of order. Very poor service/organizationMore
A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting and exceptional food. The night we were there, our table unanimously chose the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. Service was good with attentive waiters. Will definitely return on next trip.

Their success is slowly the demise! We had a 8:30 reservation and we seated at 9:15 ! Ridiculous. They clearly overbook! Food was nowhere as good as it was 3 years ago. Pricey and average now!
Great food, service, and ambiance! The garden we had dinner in was really beautiful, and the tuna tartare app was particularly delicious.

This review is all about the food, first the good, still lovely setting, good servers. The bread was great and the foie gras good, now the bad the baked El Tuito cheese was like a solid tasteless brick you had to chop into, how it…could be baked and still be solid and only Luke warm is a mystery it reminded me of a kitchen sponge, we had two chunks then gave up. My lamb chops looked perfect pink but were bland and flavourless the veg over baked. My partners short ribs were dry and accompanied by something that had the consistency of heavy bread soaked in oxo, we had to ask what it was, apparently it was steak, we honestly could not identify it on our own. The restaurant was extremely busy, and perhaps the cooks were tired but honestly if the head chef had even looked at the meals he should not have sent them out. We didn’t make a big deal about it, we did tell the server the meal wasn’t great when asked as info to the kitchen is good. Yes we still tipped as not the servers fault but as it was our 25 anniversary it was a disappointment , after many years of eating here it’s time to take it off my listMore
I recently visited Cafo de Artose, a French restaurant in Puerto Vallarta and had a fantastic experience. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The food was also excellent, with a wide range of French dishes on the…menu that were all prepared to perfection. One of the standout dishes was the green Risotto, which were cooked to a tender consistency and served in a rich truffle sauce. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and intimate, making it a perfect choice for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. I’ve been going to Cafe des Artistes for over 20 years and have enjoyed their food. We went there for a special occasion and the waiter spilled soup all over my partners clothing. They never said anything about the cleaning of her cloths. When we…got home, we attempted to wash her blouse and jeans, but the stain would not come out. We took them to a dry cleaner and the stains are permanently there. I have sent 3 emails to the restaurant and have called several times attempting to reach the manager or chef / owner, but no one calls me back nor responded to my email. I guess they’ve gotten so successful that they can afford to loose a customer. There are plenty of great places to eat in Puerto Vallarta, so chose anyone but Cafe des Artistes!More
