Cool place, nice vibe and decor. Make sure you try the potato wedges as they are to die for. Excellent coffee (re-filled).
Mi Cafe remains one of our favourite places. We have never been disappointed as the food and service is too notch. Haven’t had everything on the menu, but not one miss so far.
We have just come back from a week in Zona Romantica, Puerto Vallarta. I read the reviews about this cafe beforehand. We weren’t disappointed. Lovely latte and cappuccino coffees. The French Toast was delicious, probably the best I’ve ever tasted and although it looked very…filling the bread was light. The hotcakes were also very good. We ordered sandwiches and Greek salad as a take-out for lunch one day and they were excellent, the potato wedges especially. The salad and sandwiches were huge and we were able to save some for the next day’s lunch. I cannot fault this place.More
The food is good, I’ve been there several times, but the service is horrible. The hosts are arrogant. This morning I went to this cafe to have breakfast with my friends. The man at the entrance (he seems to be the host or owner of the place) treated me badly, at no time was I disrespectful, I just told him that my friends were already waiting for me, but he treated me arrogantly, not letting me in to meet my friends. friends just because I did not give him the number that he wanted to hear about how many people we were at the table, I told him that there were two inside, and he began to argue about numbers expressing himself as follows “yes but tell me two or three” raising his voice and making facial expressions of contempt. I’m not going to this place again, and I hope they don’t treat you the same way they treated me.More
A hip little neighborhood café, this spot has an inviting interior with interesting art and exposed brick walls. It’s funky, but in a good way! The prices and portions were reasonable. The menu has the expected breakfast and brunch basics covered. I tried the omelets…on two recent visits and they were delicious both times. The service was good, though it does get busy for brunch and they get stretched a little thin.More
Always excellent service and delicious food! Very reasonable. Hard to beat this for wonderful Mexican flavors and very generous servings.
This was one of my favorite spots in PV. But, what’s with the horrible service?! Restaurant half empty. Owner opens door for us, says nothing, points around to a few empty tables for us to choose. Coffee arrives, no spoon. I called the waiter over…to ask for a spoon and he pulls one out of the glass that has the sugar packets in it and hands it to me and walks off. Thank you, but had to call him back to get another one since there’s 2 of us. Now, can we get some cream for our coffee. Can we get napkins? Seemingly had to ask for everything . . . Meal comes, drops down in front of us, looks great . . . “Do you need anything more?!”. “Yes, please, can you bring us some silverware?!”. Staff standing around, and just not into service. Neither was owner. No apologies. Adios.More
Service and food always 5star!Always great service and the food no matter what you order is excellent! We have been to Vallarta many times and we always put MI Cafe on our list of places to eat!
Great architecture, very chic for what’s essentially a diner. The Motuleños eggs are a must-have. Note that the restaurant is cash-only, which isn’t a problem due to the incredibly low prices.
We love this place and go here at least twice every time we come. The food is always amazing and they are so consistent. The pancakes are the best I’ve ever had. Quick service and great value, too.
We’ve been back 3 times in 2 weeks just to savor the French toast with nuts and fruit. They have lots of other interesting offerings like a ginormous hamburger with pesto, bacon, cheese and other goodies. That’s on my list for next. Wish they were…open for dinner.More
Wonderful cafe. Food of the highest standard. Our definite go to place for breakfast. Staff lovely and efficient service. Ate here for breakfast on 6 out of 8 days visit.
Creative, interesting food in a hip, cool atmosphere. The shrimp salad was delicious and very creative- the sautéed shrimp a contrast to the Carmel flavored dressing on the shredded slaw base.
Popular with ex-pats and locals alike, was looking for a place that sold cappuccinos and was not disappointed, so tried the French toast and crispy bacon. All the staff are very friendly, liked all the books and pictures on the walls, gave the feeling of…being in a museum coffee shop. The service was excellent, and they served regular bottomless coffee. TIP: Great place to catch up on your e-mails from home. If you found this review informative, please check the box below. The best breakfast in town. Healthy fresh choices but I go for their potato wedges. Can’t wait to go back after we have both been vaccinated. (Inside)
