Amazing experience! They agreed to make a custom family style dinner and it was delicious. We started with fish and shrimp ceviche. During out last visit to Puerto Vallarta end of November 2022, we went to dine at Rio Grande twice. We ordered Fried Red Snapper , Lobster and Shrimp Combo, Fish fillet etc. on both occasions. Compared to another Restaurant nearby on the beach, this is…by far more superior in terms of quality and presentation and cost. The owner Alejandro is very helpful, courteous, and able to modify a dish to your liking. The staff are also very friendly and courteous. A MUST when you visit Puerto Vallarta.More
We’re there a number this ago and wanted to return. The last time the food and service were themes and use say this was even better. Two couples for dinner and they brought us a whole fresh sea bass and asked if we wanted grilled…fish platter. We ordered 2 appetizers waiting on the filleting and grilling o the fish. Owners son came by and recognized us from our last visit even though months had passed. Amazing. Fish came on a large platter and was delicious. Just a great meal. You cannot go wrong. Right across from Ley’s grocery. We like the tables on the street but inside dining also. Very fair prices.More
We decided to try this restaurant since it was close by our hotel. My husband had tuna and I had the shrimp with fish fillet special. Very good service, and food was very good. We would return. Credit cards accepted but asked for tips to…be in cash.More
We came for lunch this visit we had guacamole, tortilla soup and the shrimp avocado salad. All were very good the tortilla soup had the condiments on the side so you mixed it your self and the shrimp avocado salad was enough for two people…the beer was also nice and cold the servers were very friendly the price was very reasonable. We plan on returning for dinner for the fire grilled Snapper that we had a few years ago and remember it was deliciousMore
The oysters in the special cocktail sauce our server, Alejandro, made was amazing! The kilo of lobster in both clarified butter and garlic oil cannot be matched anywhere!
We have bee there many times over the years. We have recommended the restaurant many times over the years. The food and service were always top notch. After tonight’s experience we will not come back! The food and the service was mediocre at best. The…flank steak had no flavor, the ribs were ok, the grilled chicken was dry and didn’t have much flavor the vegetables were bland and the popcorn shrimp had a weird flavor and not very good.One of us asked for a glass of ice twice to two different servers for his cake to no avail. Need to say we will not be back!More
I went there last Nov 2021 and wanted to try this place again. I had the fried Red Snapper and again this time. It was every bit as fantastic. You have got to try it! Also I had a piña colada, probably the best I…have ever drank!!More

My spouse and I ate here twice last week during our 5-day stay in PV. Alex warmly greeted us and went over the menu items, making suggestions based on our preferences. My spouse had grilled lobster, prawns, and fileted red snapper while I had the…whole fish snapper which Alex knifed the delicious fish meat away from the bone. Both meals were accompanied by vegetables and rice. The guacamole was fresh and tasty! We ate outside on the sidewalk feeling the buzz of the city and enjoying the nice day. Once again visited Rio Grande. This restaurant never disappoints. Seated quickly and served drinks right away. Servers always polite and efficient. The Surf and Turf item on the menu was delicious! My steak was cooked to perfection and very tender. The seafood consisted of three…very tasty butterfly shrimp and three lobster tails accompanied by rice and vegetables and a glass of red wine. My husband had the fish fillet cooked in garlic butter with vegetables and rice on the rice. Another item ordered was the steak and shrimp, also delicious. We will always come back because our great experience.More
We had an excellent meal of grilled snapper. We chose it for a birthday celebration. This family run business is super attentive and not visible walking past. Give it a look and you will be surprised . Puerto Vallarta fresh fish local.
We were not let down at all. We had the wood grilled red snapper for two people. Not only was it excellent but a huge portion that we took home and had the fish in a salad the next day. This is a very good…restaurant that is well run and provides fair value. Have been back and my opinion was even higher. Cannot miss this place .not pretentious, just good!More
Simple and very good seafood or ribs & carne ASADA. Their seafood is fresh and meat is cooked right in front on BBQ. A definite keeper
Spent 8 weeks in Puerto vallarta and had 5 fantastic fish dinners right out front. I can highly recommend all the food but I really enjoyed Mommy Jumbo Bacon wrapped shrimp wit cheese inside Red Snapper done over charcoal then fillited at the table. No…bones and the best fish dish I ever had.
