OK Jose has been a favorite for over 15 years, since it was No Way Jose. We went this week for my partner’s birthday, and it was a really great evening. Jose himself was our waiter. He is such a charming man, it’s clear why…his restaurant has been around as long as it has. Plus the food and drinks are terrific. Juan Carlos (not the King of Spain, the other one) made Cesar salad at the table for all four of us. It was one of the best Cesar salads I’ve ever had. For a main course three of us had chiles en nogada: one traditional beef, one shrimp, and one vegetarian. They were all very good. The fourth friend had El Dorado/Mahi Mahi, and he really liked it. For drinks, I really like the chile love. My partner and another friend had the Mezcalita and really loved them. Because it was a special occasion, we also had desert. The birthday boy and I each had chocolate ecstasy. One friend had flan, andother had a scoop of sorbet. Everybody enjoyed theirs (and we shared a little). The atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks… all top notch. It was a great evening and a special birthday.More
Been coming here for years and the name change did not change the quality. Mahi Mahi was in point and the Mole was fantastic. Our waiter David was super attentive and just fantastic. We will be back on our next trip for sure!
Excellent food, service and value for money. They have a fantastic live singer. The waiters were nothing but accommodating. We met the owner, Jose, as well. He was very friendly and told us more about the background of the place. We have since recommended it…to others. When I visit PV again I’ll be sure to return here.More
We have been to OK Jose about three or four times, as we visit PVR several times a year. Every time the food, the house drinks, and the environment have been excellent. This year we went in October and December) and they now have live…music, which added to the already great ambiance of the restaurant. I always get the suggested drinks for the meal we order, and we are never disappointed. This last time I had their surf and turf, wit an entry of a live-made Caesar salad. We had the Mezcalito, a drink that they recommended to go with our meals, it was all made to perfection, and the service did not miss a bit at every step of the entire experience.More
We had dinner at OkJose! twice while visiting PV. Great meals! The Caesar salad that’s made table side is outstanding! We had it twice and loved it. Jose is fabulous, as is his entire staff. We will visit again!
Returned to OK Jose for the excellent Chile en Nogada with Cesar salad made table side. I have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere of this restaurant, so happy this one made it through Covid.

NOT as advertised ‘Special Event’ – there were only four of us. The set menu food was so so. Chicken was dry, poor plating, sad veggies, and NO piñata. Service was good, music fantastic, drinks expensive. Puzzling though other people attended who didn’t have to…be part of the ‘special event’ and could order what they liked off the menu and didn’t have to “support” the event with ticket price, just saying. They should have called off the ‘event’.More
good afternoon, thank you for your comment. It is a pity that you did not enjoy your stay in the restaurant, but as all the professionals continued with the event, I would like to give us another opportunity to serve you better. saludos
This my first trip since name change but food and service has stayed the same stellar experience! Drinks were delicious and refreshing, I had one of the signature hibiscus cocktails, and our party tried a few other options. All were lovely looking and delicious! Food…..omg. The must try Caesar salad made at the table by Alejandro.. to die for good! Our waiters Carlos and Carlos were efficient, helpful and so attentive. Wonderful people!live music set the mood so we left full of good hospitality and food.More

Love this place. Found this place 6 years ago and had to go back. Just as we remembered it. Because it has only 15 tables, the decorations and open roof top dining adds to the intimate feel of this quaint Mexican restaurant. We were here…for my bday and it was a spectacular evening, the whole place made it a party , everyone got into the spirit of things. The food still is amazing, and Mexican flambé coffee finished off our evening. We had our own party with amazing guests whom we’ve never met before with a very special restaurant and staff. Thanks again from Canada! We will back asap.More

My parents, friend and I visited OkJose for dinner and sadly had a very disappointing meal. We visited No Way Jose twice in the past and really enjoyed it but the name change didn’t bode well for us. We had a very annoying light above…us that kept flickering on and off. We finally had to ask for it to be turned off as it was giving us a headache. We were surprised when a waiter brought a ladder out and attempted to fix some wires for a fan with a customer sitting directly beneath him. That did not help the ambience. They didn’t have a wine list, and the waiter showed us two bottles of wine without telling us the prices. Thank goodness we asked, as one bottle of wine was more than double the price. Our waiter never asked how our meal was and did not provide us with service we’re used to receiving at the restaurant. We were provided with one nacho as an amuse bouche – it was ok but not very fancy. We ordered guacamole for a starter. The guacamole itself was good but the chips were incredibly greasy. My father enjoyed his chicken fajitas for dinner, but the rest of our main meals were a disappointment, especially the vegetarian entree. My coconut shrimp really lacked coconut flavor, which is an essential ingredient. To the restaurant’s credit, the manager was very receptive to our feedback, apologized for the food we received, and made a big gesture to make everything right. He handled the situation perfectly, hence the two star review, and also explained that the head chef was not in that evening. So perhaps we had a fluke experience. But it was disappointing nonetheless.More
Hi, good afernoon , its a plasure anwser your comments about our service , as we talk that night , I hope you give me another opportunity to assist you personally.
We found this place in a quick search for food near us and we were so happy we picked this place! The staff and owner were super friendly and enjoyed chatting with them. Their table side salsa and guacamole was so good. I’ll have to…take their tips they gave us to make it at home. We were celebrating an occasion and didn’t tell them until we were done, to let them know how much we appreciated the experience and they insisted on a special dessert. The coconut flan was delicious and was a nice surprise. Highly recommend this place for a group or a couple.More

We came to this restaurant based on other reviews and it did not disappoint. The Caesar salad was absolutely amazing, I would go back for it alone. The salad is made tableside, which was fun to watch. The owner was a delight and when my…girlfriend didn’t like her cocktail (it was a little too strong for her), he insisted on swapping it out for something else. I had a mezcal cocktail with dried hibiscus flowers & loved it. It was also my (adult) son’s birthday and the staff made it so special with a lovely dessert topped with a festive sparkler. They did sing a little Happy Birthday song, but it was not over the top or silly the way some restaurants do. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was relaxing with a romantic vibe. I will definitely return next time I visit PV. (Shout out to Gustavo, our waiter!)More
muchas gracias por su comentario ,me alegra saber que le gusto la comida y el ambiente del restaurant, esperamos tenerlos nuevamente…More
I went there with family on September 19th. The restaurant was empty perhaps due to rain forecast, even though there was live music. Dinner was fine, prices were a bit too expensive but we were fine with it given that the owner and staff were…very passionate and nice. But then when I checked my statement they added two charges one for the original amount and another for 150 USD?! This is just absurd. I am disputing the transaction with my bank but this is shady. This is fraud.More
